Politics: It's ALL LOCAL. Loudoun County Parents Show How It's Done!

Anyone watching the news knows about the enraged parents in Loudoun County fighting the school board there. They currently have a recall action against Beth Barts with the help of Fight for Schools. The local Loudoun paper (Loudoun Times-Mirror) reported:

Should Your Bank Be Allowed to Spy on You? That's What Bank of America is Doing!

This is horrifying. Do you bank at Bank of America? Well...you might want to rethink that.

Did you go into Washington, D.C. recently and use your credit card to buy a deli sandwich or a subway ticket? Did you stay at a hotel in the suburbs while you were visiting family? Big Brother, also known as Bank of America (BOA), was watching.

The Fort Hood Shooting and the Dar al-Hijrah Mosque in Falls Church

Information is coming out about the Fort Hood shooter that links him to a mosque in the VOICE network here in the Arlington Diocese. According to articles linked below, Major Nidal Malik Hasan worshipped at the Dar al-Hijrah mosque at the same time as two of the 9-11 hijackers. All of them were exposed to the teachings of Anwar al-Aulaqi who was the imam at the mosque in 2001 and 2002 and has strong links to Al Quaeda. The mosque has a history of terrorist connections.

How will they twist this to blame pro-lifers?

LifeSiteNews has an interesting article on the Holocaust Museum shooter:

Holocaust Museum Shooter a Socialist who Hated Christianity, Conservatives, Jews

The author writes:

"In one of many online tirades, the shooter, 88 year-old James von Brunn wrote, 'Christianity and the Holocaust are hoaxes. "Christianity" destroyed Roman Civilization. The "Holocaust" Religion is destroying Western Civilization.' Between them, he said, they destroyed the 'Aryan gene pool.'

'He wrote, 'socialism represents the future of the West.'...

"Left-leaning news media in the US have pounced on the shooting, blaming it on the proliferation of 'hate' and 'divisiveness' brought about by the political and religious conservatism of the Bush administration. Pundits were quick to link the Holocaust Museum shooting with the killing of late-term abortionist George Tiller, as evidence of the kind of 'right wing extremism' identified as a threat to national security in a government report in April by the Department of Homeland Security....

"But efforts by the left to paint Von Brunn as a 'right wing extremist' ignore the evidence that the shooter was not a 'conservative,' but a self-admitted 'Aryan' socialist who hated Christianity and America’s conservative political class as well as the Jews. Ben Johnson, Managing Editor of FrontPage Magazine, noted von Brunn’s own internet rants against Christians and 'neo-cons' as part of a vast Jewish conspiracy to undermine the white race."

Despite the facts, I'm sure the mainstream media and government lefties will continue to blame right-wing, Christian, pro-life, homophobic domestic terrorists. (Did I leave out any adjectives?) It suits their agenda. And never let it be said that a liberal let facts interfere with his deeply-held beliefs no matter how wrong or ridiculous.

And who remembers the Unabomber after all? He was a loony leftie, but, funny, you never heard the liberals in the mainstream media admit it. Don't hold your breath waiting for a Justice Department probe to search for links between von Brunn and left-wing, irreligious, heterophobic, anti-life terrorist groups. They don't exist in the liberal mind. Only Christians are violent hate-mongers. Hey, they believe it so it must be true!

Will the Real Terrorists Please Stand Up

Several kind individuals have requested permission to place this article on their websites and asked me to re-post it on my own site in a more prominent position. I, therefore, accede to their requests and move it back to the top of the queue. Mary Ann

I'm one of those people the pro-aborts call a pro-life "terrorist." Since 1972, the year before Roe vs. Wade, I've devoted a large percentage of my life to trying to save unborn children from death and their moms from a lifetime of regret. I've picketed abortion mills praying the rosary, sidewalked counseled (and have a number of photos of precious babies as a result), rescued inside abortion mills, given hundreds of talks on fetal development and the reality of abortion, exhorted abortionists to stop killing, worked in a crisis pregnancy center, helped organize the Life Chain, and spent a month in jail all told. My husband and I offered a shelter home to over a dozen women over a fifteen year period. There are lots of pro-life "terrorists" like me.

During that time I've been:

cursed at

given the finger

advised to get a job

shoved

arrested for no reason

arrested for any reason

picked up and thrown into a group of rescuers

surrounded by a screaming mob yelling in my face as I stood in silence holding a fetal model

I've marched in countless demonstrations

had clinic escorts threaten and block me from talking to women on the public sidewalk

had snowballs thrown at me by a couple of guys while I picketed by myself

been to court with a new baby strapped to my chest

and gone to jail

Never, not once, have I screamed back, shoved, harrassed, cursed at anyone, gotten in someone's face, hit (or even touched) anyone in anger.

I confess that I have talked to parents and tried to convince them not to kill their children. I've offered them information (and sometimes doughnuts), I've driven them to McDonald's for breakfast and then to a crisis pregnancy center. I've prayed thousands of rosaries in the freezing cold and the burning heat (and even in beautiful weather when I'd rather be anywhere else). I've cuddled saved babies in my arms rejoicing and organized baby showers for their moms. I've hugged weeping post-aborted women and cried with them.

Yes, I guess I'm a pro-life "terrorist."

One thing I've never done, and never even been tempted to do, is shoot anyone or harm them in any way.

I refuse to take responsibility for George Tiller's murder. I will not be silenced. I will not change my behavior. I will not stop going to abortion mills or doing whatever I can to change the mind of a woman seeking abortion. I will not be bullied by the baby killers or soften my language to make torturing and killing children seem like a walk in the park. If water-boarding, which doesn't endanger the life of the victim, is torture...if pulling the legs off, or burning, or scalding a pet gets you a prison sentence...why is it okay to dismember, burn, and scald a baby?

George Tiller and his pro-abortion advocates are the real terrorists, not the pro-life movement. Just look at the pictures of their victims.

Posts from the Twilight Zone - Government Terrorism on the Rise

Bizarre items linked to the Department of Homeland Security and their report about domestic terrorism and "right-wing extremism" are right out of the Twilight Zone.

I wrote last month about Steve Bierfeldt of The Campaign for Liberty who was detained at the St. Louis Airport because he was (gasp!) carrying about $4500 in cash. If you haven't listened to Judge Napolitano talk about that violation of rights check it out.

Bad news for freedom. But today I got an item about a motorist in a small town in Alabama who was stopped BECAUSE OF HIS BUMPER STICKER! The man was detained for thirty minutes by the vigilant cops who ran an identification check before letting him go WITH A WARNING.

Since President Obama took office the Department of Homeland Security has labeled as potential terrorists pro-lifers, vets, Ron Paul supporters, and others who support freedom. I have both a Ron Paul and a pro-life sticker on my bumper making me a double terrorist I guess. Read the article; it's a head-shaker. Next, they'll have someone at the check-out counter in the grocery store doing a background check on anyone who buys teabags.

But this is no laughing matter. Remember what happened at Ruby Ridge and Waco. An out-of-control government killed American citizens who had committed no crimes including a twelve-year-old boy shot in the back. The only thing that made these Americans suspect was their distrust of the government. Hey, by that criteria Ronald Reagan was a terrorist. He used to joke that the nine most terrifying words in the English language are "I'm from the government and I'm here to help."

DHS says I'm a "domestic terrorist." Are you?

You no doubt have heard that the Department of Homeland Security (Dept. of Homeland Insanity in my book!) has labeled veterans, pro-lifers, those who oppose illegal immigration, etc. as domestic terrorists. Thomas More Center (TMC) has opposed this nonsense, as has the American Center for Law and Justice. DHS head Janet Napolitano apologized to veterans, but others like you and I are fair game for their bigotry.

TMC lists a number of political opinions that can get you named a "right wing terrorist" in addition to opposing abortion. They include:

Opposes restrictions on firearms

Opposes lax immigration

Opposes the policies of President Obama regarding immigration, citizenship, and the expansion of social programs

Opposes continuation of free trade agreements

Opposes same-sex marriage

Has paranoia of foreign regimes

Fear of Communist regimes

Opposes one world government

Bemoans the decline of U.S. stature in the world.

Upset with loss of U.S. manufacturing jobs to China and India

Does this sound like you? It sure sounds like me and every conservative I know. (Although I wouldn't consider a sensible "fear" of Chinese and North Korean Communists and Islamic terrorist regimes "paranoia." I think it's common sense.)

TMC has filed a lawsuit against the Federal Governmnet in the name of three plaintifs for violating their rights under the first and fifth amendments. Visit their website and support this important work. If American patriots can be labeled "domestic terrorists" for defending the Constitution, what's next? Internment camps?

Thomas More Center Challenges DHS

The Thomas More Law Center has filed a Freedom of Information Act request with DHS to determine what caused the recent report labeling pro-lifers, veterans, and others who defend the constitution as "domestic terrorists."

From an article on their website:
Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of the Thomas More Law Center stated, “This is not an intelligence report but a diatribe against those who oppose the policies of the Obama administration. It is a declaration of war against the American people and our constitution. It is a prelude to extreme gun control legislation and hate speech laws targeting Christian churches and others who oppose abortion and same sex marriage. The federal government should be focusing its attention on the 35 radical Muslim compounds in the U.S. training its followers on how to kidnap and kill Americans.” Read more...

Are you a "Rightwing Extremist"?

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a report earlier this month titled Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment. (What a mouthful! I used to work for the government. After I resigned it took me years before I could write a regular sentence!)

The report labels normal people extemists. Why? Because they hold traditional views - the same views most Americans held in the 1950s. But now, in the politically correct world of left-wing extremism, those views are suspect and a cause for labeling Americans like me potentially dangerous. "Rightwing extremeism," says the report, "may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue such as opposition to abortion." In another place the report specifically mentions the potential danger of those concerned about "abortion...and same-sex marriage."

I guess I have to plead guilty on both counts. I oppose them as immoral and unconstitutional and, while I'm not stockpiling weapons in the basement, I'm stockpiling plenty of ideas for articles in my computer files. And since the pen (or the keyboard) is mightier than the sword, I guess that makes me reeeeeeeally dangerous.

The DHS report admits in the very first line that there's no evidence that "domestic rightwing terrorists are currently planning acts of violence." Reread that line. People like me haven't done anything violent and there's no evidence we plan any violence, but we are already labeled "domestic rightwing terrorists." This hearkens back to Janet Reno, Clinton's Attorney General, who even labeled the Conference of Bishops potential terrorists. (I laughed when I read that. Except for a few real shepherds, most of the bishops haven't got the guts to stand up to an angry member of their flocks.) Reno committed some of the worst acts of terrorism ever perpetrated against Americans and got away scot free: the Randy Weaver debacle where a twelve-year-old was shot in the back running toward the house and the murder of the Branch Davidians where they killed the children to save the children. But government terrorism never counts because the government writes the rules.

But I digress.

Consider the ramifications of the DHS report. Muslim terrorists who bombed the World Trade Center, bombed U.S. embassies all over the world, bombed the U.S. Marine Headquarters in Lebanon, bombed airliners, bombed the U.S.S. Cole - they aren't the real terrorist threat and can't be "profiled." (For a list of acts of terrorism by Muslim extremists go here.) It's not even bombers like Bernadine Dohrn and William Ayers who regret not causing more mayhem during their Weather Underground days. (But they are now friends and contributors to the president so their murder and maiming of police officers doesn't count.) No, the real terrorists are mothers and grandmothers who defend the unborn and the constitution; they qualify as domestic terrorists according to DHS.

If this report isn't an example of fascism/communism and a warning about what this administration has in mind for law-abiding citizens, I don't know what is. So if you're a serious Roman Catholic standing up for the faith outside an abortion mill with a rosary in your hands...well...just watch your back.

N.B. DHS head Janet Napolitano stands by the report which also calls veterans terrorists. One question, when recruits sign up for the military are they told they will be labeled terrorists when (and if) they return home? One more question: can you imagine the outcry if a Republican administration labeled gays and pro-aborts domestic terrorists?

The Brown Shirts Are Here!

The video below contains an audio clip from a young man who was detained at the airport in St. Louis by FIVE armed police officers -- get this -- because he had $4700 in his carry-on luggage. What was his "crime?" When the officers asked why he had the money he asked them whether he was required by law to answer their questions. They immediately went into brown-shirt mode. It reached the point where they were going to take him down to the police station when a plainclothes cop (FBI) came in and whispered something in their ears and they let him go. He made his plane. He was smart enough when the interrogation started to click the recording button on his fancy cell phone and got the entire encounter on tape.

So now carrying cash makes you a suspected terrorist. (So does being a Ron Paul supporter!) Think of that. What's the limit? Is $2000 okay? How about $500? Watch the video; it's unbelievable! God bless this young lover of liberty.

I had a similar situation happen outside an abortion mill several years ago. I was sidewalk counseling when a car stopped in the driveway and I stepped over to the window to talk to the couple who took my literature. The officer (They always had a police car in the parking lot on Saturdays.) asked me to get out of driveway I did.

Then he came over and insisted I give my name or he would arrest me. I started to comply but he got my Irish up so I asked what law required me to answer. Was I being charged with breaking a law? We had been told being in the driveway was okay by his supervisor if we weren't blocking people trying to go in and out which I told him. Nevertheless, he told me if I didn't answer he'd give me a summons. Which he did when I continued to refuse.

The next business day I went down and had a talk with the Commonwealth's Attorney who told me that if I were being charged with a crime I had to comply, but the exact opposite was what happened. To make a long story short they dropped the charges and (on my insistence) sent me a letter telling me that I did not have to appear in court. We never had a problem with that officer again.

Stand up for your rights like this man did. If you don't, the next bullying may not be just words but the nightstick and the cattle prod.
