Unhinged NEA President Shows Why Home Schooling is Growing

NEA president Becky Pringle speech at Philadelphia delegation on July 4
compared to Dwight Schrute from 'The Office.'
 (YouTube/Screenshot)

Becky Pringle, President of the National Education Association (NEA) is a lunatic! She heads one of the most lunatic bureaucracies in the country! Their agenda includes rabid support for abortion (killing future students) and for LGBTQ insanity. They see conservative parents as the enemy and do everything they can to separate kids from their families to the point that some teachers take girls for abortion without parental consent or encourage students to engage in transgender activity. Some schools even have a "transition closet"  where kids can change into clothing to play let's pretend I'm the opposite sex. This is not just one school. They are popping up around the country! (See here and here) The NEA wants parents out of the equation. They believe they own your children! They oppose school vouchers because that gives parents choice in education. Currently, those who opt out of the public system pay twice for the "privilege" of protecting their children from insanity.

A School Choice Success Story

Some commenters here oppose school choice because of the involvement of the government. And that certainly is a danger. But for children in public schools, the school choice movement offers an escape from horrible failed schools. How many people would willingly put their children in the shop class of the freak from Canada with the prosthetic breasts? The man impersonating a woman was fire from his last school, but has a new gig where he can continue to impose his transgender insanity on the kids. I won't post his photos here, but you can check out the new school where the kids will be assigned specific doors they must use to enter and exit the school. Inconveniencing the kids doesn't matter; catering to the transgender scandal trumps all!

Politics: It's ALL LOCAL. Loudoun County Parents Show How It's Done!

Anyone watching the news knows about the enraged parents in Loudoun County fighting the school board there. They currently have a recall action against Beth Barts with the help of Fight for Schools. The local Loudoun paper (Loudoun Times-Mirror) reported:

Democrats Read Transgender Book on House Floor

L - Jazz, a biological boy;
R - Jazz' book about his life as a girl
LifeSite News has a March 5 article with video posted on their site saying:

"Democrats read a book about having a 'girl brain but a boy body' on the US House floor last week. To commemorate a day set aside by pro-LGBT lobbyists and the nation’s largest teacher union to promote gender fluidity, two Democrat congresswomen read the infamous transgender children’s book I Am Jazz on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives last Thursday.

"Sponsored by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation and the National Education Association (NEA), the fourth annual 'Jazz and Friends National Day of School and Community Readings' is supposedly meant to help 'foster safe and welcoming schools and communities for young people who still rarely hear affirming stories of LGBTQ people,' according to HRC’s website."

What can I say except THREE YEARS AGO I knew that the National Education Association (NEA) was heavily involved in promoting the transgender agenda in public schools, and said so on Les Femmes on March 26, 2016. The article is reprinted in full below.

Mainstreaming Delusion

The following discussion comes from a homosexual news site which cannot be linked because it's basically pornography, however to make sure you know it's OK that I read this delusional rubbish, Sister Simone Campbell and her NETWORK cabal have their weekly updates emailed to me from this website along with other delusional news of the latest most up-to-date homosexual and transgender awe-inspiring world accomplishments.

That being said, I was intrigued (appalled? disgusted? had my mind blown away by?) a homosexual millennial blogger on this news site who states that he's done with meaningless hookups thanks to millennial homosexual peers who have ruined them. Every time I've hooked up with someone, I'm left with a fuzzy feeling of discontent. Thoughts run through my mind that I've let my body be used. The danger of hooking up with someone is that you risk feeling awful afterwards.

All I Want for Christmas is a Genderqueer Teddy Bear

"...and a Genderqueer Teddy Bear."
Sally Ann, a small girl missing her 2 front teeth:  Thanta! Thanta!

Santa:  Well, hello little girl...Sally Ann is it?

Sally:  Yeth!

Santa:  Ho ho ho. Well, what is it that you want Santa to bring you this Christmas, Sally Ann?

Sally Ann, whispering in Santa's ear:  Thanta, I want a Genderqueer teddy bear! The one with the symbols on his...or is it her...or maybe their…chest...or is it breast or ...I got it! It's a reconstructed girl chest likes Caitlyn Jenner gotts! He's a boy who wants to be a girl just like the girl in my nursery school wants to be a boy! We get to choose our own pronoun now, Thanta!!

Santa...thinking:  Good grief. What on earth is this child being taught? And who is teaching it to her? Her kindergarten? Surely not!

The NEA's Transgender Agenda....And the Winter Cover of NEA Today

...and I'm reading NEA Today
The powerful voice of the National Education Association’s (NEA) quarterly magazine, NEA Today, has a circulation of 2.7 million. Add that number to global digital access and the circulation soars to many more millions across America as well as the world.

With many millions of teachers reading NEA Today, the National Education Association is furnished mega opportunities for propagating agendas of various sorts, dripping their poison into every classroom in the nation, trickling into the minds and souls of our children. These agendas of the moment have high acceptability because they are clad in the seeming respectability of a powerful and influential teachers’ union flagship publication. Is there a better way to spread the current explosion of the pernicious transgender agenda in society than through our schools?

NEA’s abnormal love affair with the transgender agenda births immoral ideas of gender inside the minds of our children where, in public school sex education classes, the definition of human is neither male nor female, but rather an odd assortment of various sexes and genders according to feelings.

On Forced Unionization and the NEA

I've been having a discussion with the wife of a teacher in the comments section of one of my blog posts about compulsory unionization. She believes that teachers should be forced to pay union dues because they receive the benefits of collective bargaining. But I'll let her speak for herself:
Actually yes I agree with still taking some level of Union dues out (in the Union that I used to belong to you could have Full-Share Union dues taken out and get voting rights or Fair-Share (50% of the Full-Share) dues taken out and give up voting rights). My reason for agreeing with still taking at least some level of dues out is because they still get the benefits provided by the contract? It would be unethical to have a contract for a group of teachers in the Union and a second for teachers not in the Union. Again, JMHO
I have to vigorously disagree with forcing people to join unions, especially the teachers' unions which lobby for things I cannot in good conscience support. Belonging to the NEA would force me to cooperate with things that are so evil, I would rather live on oatmeal.

I'll give just one current example. Here's what Diane Schneider, representing the NEA, recently said at the U.N.
“Oral sex, masturbation, and orgasms need to be taught in education,” Diane Schneider told the audience at a panel on combating homophobia and transphobia.  Schneider, representing the National Education Association (NEA), the largest teachers union in the US, advocated for more “inclusive” sex education in US schools, with curricula based on liberal hetero and homosexual expression.  She claimed that the idea of sex education remains an oxymoron if it is abstinence-based, or if students are still able to opt-out.
Comprehensive sex education is “the only way to combat heterosexism and gender conformity,” Schneider proclaimed, “and we must make these issues a part of every middle and high-school student’s agenda.”  “Gender identity expression and sexual orientation are a spectrum,” she explained, and said that those opposed to homosexuality “are stuck in a binary box that religion and family create.” Read more here.
Wow! This makes it absolutely clear that "sex education" is all about brainwashing the kids. No choice, no opt-out. Not only must we have forced union participation but we must force students (and make their parents go along) to be indoctrinated in the NEA's version of morality which is anything goes sex and everything that goes with it including abortion. And who are the enemies in the NEA's world view? "Religion and family."

And I'm supposed to pay union dues to support this diabolical agenda? Hell no!

There is an ethical option for teachers fed up with the NEA, and I hope many will take a look at it. The American Association of Educators is a non-union professional group for teachers that provides things like liability insurance without forcing members to support immoral lobbying. Here's a little about them from a LifeSiteNews story:
Gary Beckner, AAE's Executive Director, said many teachers are unaware of the legal options available to keep their dues from supporting the NEA's liberal politics.

"The Supreme Court has said that even though teachers may be a part of a collectively bargained contract in a district, and have to pay them dues for that representation ... that's all they have to pay for legally," Beckner told LifeSiteNews.com (LSN) this week. "They do not have to pay for any part of the dues that union collects that goes to anything other than representation."  See more here....
The AAE says their primary concern is the children and the teachers, unlike the NEA who make no bones about the fact they are a powerful lobby first. In 2009, the AAE picked up numerous members fleeing the union after the NEA convention where Bob Chanin, their top lawyer for 41 years, attacked those who disagree with NEA policies saying, "Why are these conservative and right-wing bastards picking on NEA and its affiliates?  I will tell you why: it is the price we pay for success.  NEA and its affiliates have been singled out because they are the most effective unions in the U.S." He went on to say the NEA is effective "not because of our creative ideas, it is not because of the merit of our positions, it is not because we care about children, and it is not because we have a vision of a great public school for every child. NEA and its affiliates are effective advocates because we have power." And they use that power to advance an agenda so evil those enabling it are in line for the proverbial millstone.

Christian teachers need to reconsider their membership in the NEA. The teachers' union is the best argument out there for right-to-work laws.

Collective Bargaining in Government Jobs Means Taxation Without Representation for Local Taxpayers!

Until I read the article below, I had not considered the fact that collective bargaining for government employees essentially taxes local citizens without representation. They have no one at the bargaining table and no input on decisions that will raise their taxes. Isn't "taxation without representation" what we fought a war over?

Beverly Gunn wrote a  fascinating article that relates to the current teacher strike in Wisconsin. In 1980 teachers in Sierra Vista, TX struck for six weeks and the wives of officers at a local army fort took their places in the classroom. After reading about Beverly's experience I hope the Wisconsin governor sticks to his guns. As for the teachers they have set a sorry example for their students lying, pretending to be sick, using fake sick notes, etc. Should they not receive at the very least the same punishment that students would get for such behavior?

On a side note the teachers' unions have never been about teaching the kids or even about teachers' rights. They are all about advancing the leftist agenda and power for the unions. Here are the goals of the National Education Association (NEA) from their 2010 convention summarized by Phyllis Schlafly in a Townhall article. Note the leftwing agenda, much of which has nothing to do with education. And one other thing, 95% of NEA contributions go to Democratic candidates and to lobby for radical political issues. Here are their goals with my comments in parens.

-- Mandatory full-day kindergarten attendance for all children, with federal money if the state can't afford it. (Get the kids early for more indoctrination in the leftist agenda.)
-- Substantial increases in federal education funding. (This lets the feds set the curriculum and limits local control.)

-- Repeal of the right-to-work provision of federal labor law. (This means forced unionization. What about "choice" for teachers?)
-- A tax-supported, single-payer health care plan for all residents of the U.S., its territories and Puerto Rico. (What about "choice" in health care?)

-- Federal funding for the education of illegal aliens. (The left encourages illegals because it gives them more foot soldiers to work for Democrats who promise multiple goodies, including amnesty.)
-- Federal programs to teach schoolchildren about different sexual orientations. (Advancing sexual perversion starts in kindergarten. No local control.)

-- Legislation to prohibit religious organizations that accept federal funding from basing hiring decisions on religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, or HIV/AIDS status. (What about the so-called "separation of church and state? How come it allows the government to control religion?)

-- Affirmative action to redress historical patterns of discrimination. (More goodies to buy voters.)

-- Legislation to study possible reparations to African-Americans to address residual effects of slavery. (More goodies to buy voters.)
-- Statehood for the District of Columbia. (Two more liberal senators and a rep to vote for liberalism.)

-- Opposition to tuition tax credits, vouchers and parental option or "choice" in education programs. (Gotta keep the kids on the liberal plantation, especially in the inner cities. No "choice" for you!)

-- Opposition to denying student aid to illegal alien college students. (Buying more support regardless of the injustice to legal aliens and citizens.)

-- Opposition to using draft registration as an eligibility criterion for financial aid. (They loath the military.)
-- Opposition to the testing of teachers as a criterion for job retention, promotion, tenure or salary increases. (This might expose how many of their union members are functional illiterates.)

-- Opposition to legislation that denies illegal aliens' access to public schools. (Again...buying support with goodies.)

-- Opposition to designating English as the official language of the United States. (Keeps people 2nd class citizens and dependent.)

-- Opposition to the use of voter ID cards for voting in local, state and national elections. (This might limit the ability of dead folks to vote.)

-- Opposition to privatization of Social Security. (What's this got to do with education?)
-- Opposition to any constitutional amendment limiting taxes or the federal budget. (Ditto? They want their grubby hands in the taxpayers' pockets!)

Note how few of these items have to do with education. They have everything to do with promoting liberalism. Fight the NEA at every opportunity!

When Teachers Strike: A Memoir
By Beverly Gunn

In the early fall of 1980, our family was stationed at an Army Post named Ft. Huachuca, Arizona. The town next to the base was Sierra Vista, Arizona. The teachers of Sierra Vista schools became a testing ground for collective bargaining by the NEA, in one of their early excursions into union control vs taxpayers. But a strange turn of events happened that fall that bear revisiting, since the strikes in Wisconsin center around collective bargaining, and as a consequence, local taxes.

In 1980, teachers at all the schools in the town of Sierra Vista decided to go on strike. They were encouraged by the NEA to do so, since the NEA was powering up to unionize in other states and to try to control local issues usually decided by local tax districts and local taxpayers. The teachers called the strike and schools closed, but the Mayor and Superintendent of schools in the town of Sierra Vista conferred with each other and agreed that collective bargaining would take away from local taxpayers the ability to control local taxes. Collective bargaining may work in a private institutional setting, but when local taxes are involved, collective bargaining essentially means loss of local control, or taxation without representation.

Phyllis Schlafly on the NEA

The National Education Association is one of the nuttiest groups on the planet. They aren't about education, by the way. They are all about accumulating power for their little fiefdom and about propagandizing young people (and old people, i.e. teachers and parents) into moral relativism. But they went a little too far when they celebrated the anniversary of the Communist takeover of China by Mao on their website. Phyllis Schlafly, with her usual astute insight, wrote:
What does Diversity mean to you? Same-sex marriage? Building a giant mosque on the 9/11 spot in New York? Elena Kagan on the Supreme Court?
To the largest teachers union, the National Education Association (NEA), diversity means celebrating the anniversary of the Communist takeover of China by Mao Zedong. The NEA posted this on its website calendar as a Diversity Event for October 1.
Thankfully, we live in a wonderful era when parents, Tea Partiers, conservatives, and students can rapidly spread the news ignored by the mainstream media. After this activity suggestion for teachers was reported on WorldNetDaily, the Mao calendar item disappeared (without comment) from the NEA's website. Read more....
The foolish folks who celebrate Communism never had to live under Communist tyrants systematically arresting and murdering (take your pick): the intelligentsia, political opponents, Catholic priests and religious, Protestant clergyman,  Jews (remember the pogrom in Fiddler on the Roof? It's based on reality.), homosexuals, etc. ad nauseum. The irony is that if we actually lived under Communist rule, many of the people serving as useful idiots would be the first shipped off to the gulags. Which just goes to show that sin makes people stupid.

So if you haven't been to confession for awhile, go this week. Confession is not only good for the soul; it's good for the mind as well. Those who confess are less of a mess.
