We can expect howling from the bishops, but the taxpayers will benefit. Charity is a Catholic obligation and the bishops should be preaching that, but their charities distribute poison along with their rice bowls. The bishops no longer have the confidence of Catholic in the pew. Catholics once were a powerhouse to be feared in the voting booth. The bishops squandered our power long ago by embracing liberalism, preaching seamless garment garbage, and going for the money. Love of money is the root of all evils and the USCCB often seems to love the almighty dollar more than Almighty God.  Cut the funding and close the massive Catholic bureaucracy in D.C. We will all benefit!

Last week, at the Red Hen restaurant in Lexington VA, Sarah Huckabee Sanders was denied service merely because she supports President Trump in fulfilling his commitment to enforce the immigration laws passed by Congress before he assumed the office of the Presidency. It thus seems that some leftist Democrats in Virginia would like to change the logo for the Commonwealth to read VIRGINIA IS FOR SMUGGLERS, rather than VIRGINIA IS FOR LOVERS. This would help to advertise to those desiring to illegally infiltrate into America that the Commonwealth wants to unconditionally welcome them. With no vetting whatsoever, gang members such as MS-13, rapists, drug smugglers, child molesters and human traffickers are apparently to be allowed to infiltrate into the Old Dominion, and, through her, into the rest of the nation - just as long as such criminals claim to be merely migrants.

I'm so sick of all the hand-wringing and crying by liberals over parents being separated from their children at the border. These are the same folks who don't mind separating babies from their moms by tearing them limb from limb and sucking them out of the womb even in the 9th month of pregnancy.

So much of this propaganda is just liars lying.

I watched a CNN video of Anderson Cooper criticizing Trump's executive order allowing families to stay together. In the video were the iconic pictures of the little girl crying while her mom is being searched by border agents. But her dad (who has a job in Honduras) recently stated that his wife, who paid a coyote and left Honduras without even a good-bye, was never separated from the child.

• The Left often blends legal and illegal immigrants to make the case that we are not at risk from "immigrants." That doesn't hold water when only illegals are evaluated.
• A large number of Americans would still be alive if we protected our border from invasion. If the lives of 17 students at a Parkland high school are important enough for the Left to demand gun control, shouldn't the murders of many more Americans by illegals spark a call by the Left for border control? Can you spell hypocrisy?
• If the victims of illegals' crimes were yourself or your mom, dad, son, daughter, brother, sister what would you do? Would you want to live in a "sanctuary city?"

I am concerned at how the left is being allowed to determine the terminology used to define the whole immigration issue. Those who have entered our nation illegally are not immigrants, they are infiltrators. Immigrants respect the laws, customs and traditions of the nation that is graciously hosting them. They also intend to enhance the life of that nation with the blessings of their own historical and cultural heritage. Infiltrators, on the other hand, furtively enter a nation. They despise its laws and traditions and treat it much as a parasite treats a host, sucking out its life-blood while infecting it with lethal pathogens.

It is sad that we allow drug traffickers, human traffickers, violent gang members, rapists, kidnappers, jihadists and murders to be dignified by Democrats with the name, “immigrants”. Also, the lax enforcement of our immigrations law demanded for years by many Democrats has encouraged parents to urge their unaccompanied vulnerable children to go on a hazardous journey to America through a gauntlet of merciless human traffickers and drug smugglers looking for some more “mules” to transport their lethal contraband into the United States. It is interesting to note how many Democrats want to treat such parents as human rights’ heroes, while at the same time they want to vigorously prosecute for child neglect any American mother, who merely leaves her  sleeping child in her house for two minutes, while she gets a cup of sugar from a next-door neighbor.

Pope Francis will no doubt say anyone speaking out against this is a racist driven by fear of anyone different. And so would the Peace Justice, and Human Development Committee of the USCCB with their recent idiotic racist examination of conscience. I don't doubt their description of it as "inspired by Pope Francis." It begged for satire in the fashion of "You might be a redneck if...." Maybe I'll do that in my next blog post. We can all use a little laugh these days.

That really makes me scared, but I'm just a dumb muggle after all. What do I know? Then there's actor Adam Baldwin tweeting that he's "Darth Trump." In fact that's become a standing joke. There's even a Star Wars video where they dub in Trump talking in place of Vader's lines. Sounds like free publicity to me. But are you hiding under the bed yet?

Consider what's going on in the collapsing German Church which gets megabucks from the government and ask if the same thing, in a different way, is happening here in the U.S. A billion dollars (plus the tax exemption) can buy a lot of silence, don't you think?

Measles Outbreak Caused by What?

The politically correct explanation for the measles outbreak is to blame parents who are refusing vaccinations. But isn't it interesting that hardly a word is being said about the illegal alien invasion. The fact that the outbreak started in California makes at least a strong circumstantial case for the likelihood that the "epidemic" is directly linked to Obama's policies of open borders and distribution of potentially sick illegals, especially children, to most states in the nation. (See here.) While the Post article pooh-poohs the idea that illegals are a cause of increased rates of disease, it points out that border security agents are contracting diseases and parasites like chicken pox, scabies, lice, etc. Now if they are getting those is it really unlikely that measles is a problem as well? Most of those officers are probably required to have up-to-date measles vaccinations. Chicken pox isn't mandatory. So how many cases of measles are connected to illegals? Is anyone even looking at it? Disease outbreaks are complicated, but it seems to me that liberals go out of their way to disavow any connection between the massive invasion of medically unscreened illegals and the rise in diseases which have been relatively rare in the U.S.  Political correctness is dangerous when it refuses to consider a common sense question and call for serious study. I agree with Ben Carson who certainly has the credentials to question the politically correct meme.
