Climate Change Hysteria: Whatever Happened to Real Science? And Free Speech?

Can we blame the great Galveston hurricane of
1900 that killed 8,000 people on global warming?

They are falling under the weight of money (truckloads of money) and political correctness.

Let's face it. There's lots of money in hyping the "climate change" hysteria which used to be "global warming" until it became evident that we are in a cooling trend. (Just look at Al Gore making millions off of alternative energy sources, while he powers his own mansion and private jet with conventional ones.)

So now, in order to keep the hysteria on the front burner, we need to criminalize "climate change" skeptics.

Make denying climate change a crime!

Associating the hurricanes with global warming is silly. We haven't had a major hurricane landfall in twelve years. Explain that. And hurricane Harvey isn't the worst storm on record:

The big one is coming and are we really surprised that it's going to hit Oregon, the death capitol of the country? Oregon is one of the few states in the country that allows physician-assisted suicide, but it is also one of the most liberal on all social issues. There is no doubt that liberalism kills. It especially kills the soul. And this country is the Land of Loony Liberalism on steroids!

Remember Jonah? He went to Nineveh and walked from one end of the city to the other warning the people that the Lord was going to destroy the city in three days. What happened? The people repented in sackcloth and ashes. The disaster was averted.

Could that happen in the United States? Of course. But the U.S. doesn't seem too interested in repenting. Something like 20 million people on Facebook celebrated sodomite marriage by putting the sodomy rainbow on their profiles. How do you think God liked that? It was He who designed marriage between one man and one woman creating a union of love for the creation of children and their upbringing. It's His book that describes what happened to the city that gave sodomy its name.

Personally, I fully expect to see an increase in natural disasters in the United States. You can't flip off God without serious repercussions. I hope all believers will imitate the little children of Fatima who offered all the sufferings that came their way for poor sinners and made many heroic sacrifices to save sinners from hell. We can mitigate disasters by our prayers and sufferings. Please pray for our poor, distressed country.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.

One More Natural Disaster: What Next?

My husband and I stayed after Mass this morning to pray the Miraculous Medal Novena for the poor people of Joplin and other places struck by natural disasters. I know I will make some people mad by saying this, but our world has sowed the wind and now we are reaping the whirlwind -- literally. These mega-hurricanes, earthquakes, and tornadoes are predicted as part of the chastisement. Read Matthew 24.

We are a sinful nation. The U.S. has been incredibly blessed and we have responded with contempt toward our Creator. Our sins have unleashed disasters. If you doubt that it's possible, consider the Blessed Mother warning the three little children of Fatima that World War I was a punishment for sin and that if mankind did not change there would be another worse war. It happened!

Can anyone look at us today and pretend that we are better than the people of the 1920s and '30s? Today we murder millions around the world by surgical and chemical abortions every year. So-called "contraception" dwarves those numbers killing millions more. Promiscuity, both homosexual and heterosexual, has turned many into rutting brutes. Divorce destroys families. Every week it seems there is another attack on Jesus and the Blessed Mother through obscene books, art shows, movies and plays. Mary said at Fatima that clothing would come into fashion that would offend her son very much. Watch Dancing with the Stars if you want an example.

We deserve the chastisement!

Joplin is no more guilty than any other place. Neither is Birmingham or New Orleans or any other city experiencing disasters. If God targeted evil places, I think Washington, D.C. would head the list. Joplin is Anytown, USA. They have (or had) their Planned Parenthood facility that offers the morning after pill and a local crisis pregnancy center that tries to save the babies and offers help to women. They have a Catholic church and school (St. Mary's) with adoration in the parish. Both were demolished and the pastor had to be dug out of the rubble after taking refuge in the bathtup of the rectory. Many protestant churches were destroyed as well.

The purpose of discipline is to call us to repentance. Pray and help the people of Joplin by choosing a worthy charity and donating money to the relief effort. But then help our poor country by falling on your knees and begging for mercy, especially through the intercession of Mary, the Mother of God.  If we don't change and convert look for more of the same.

Epicenter of Japanese Quake Near Akita: A Warning?

The Blessed Mother's apparitions and messages to Sr. Agnes at Akita are among the most frightening ever given by a messenger from heaven predicting global catastrophe with fire falling from the skies. Is it just a coincedence that the epicenter of the Japanese earthquake was so close to Akita or is it a dire warning? Go here for more.... And listen to the Blessed Mother's words. Repentance and reparation may not be able to avert the punishment our world so richly deserves, but it can mitigate it.

If men do not repent and better themselves, God the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the (biblical) flood, such as never seen before.

Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful....The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church, in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops....

Churches and altars will be sacked. The Church will be full of those who accept compromises, and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.

This Lent commit yourself to daily recittion of the rosary. Do penance in reparation for the sins of the world. Pray hard for priests and bishops, especially those leading their flocks to hell. And follow the admonition of St. Padre Pio to "pray, hope, and don't worry."
