This young woman is an activist defending the rights of those with Down's Syndrome. She's spoken before the U.N. She's also worked to help the Irish people keep their laws protecting babies in the womb.

As the culture of death zooms in on the sickest members of our human family, we need voices to stand up and speak out. And so I was glad to see these stories about Pope Francis meeting with little Alfie Evans' dad and speaking clearly about the evil of abandoning the sickest and most helpless among us:

Abortion for Rape: An Unacceptable Exception

Abortion for rape? NO! If you favor that, essentially you believe the child should be executed for the crime of the father. Also, the impact on the mother from abortion is similar to the consequences of rape. Raped women feel dirty, have lowered self esteem, are often depressed and even suicidal. The same thing happens to post-aborted women. So the rape victim who aborts gets a double whammy of bad consequences! In addition to that, when the woman aborts, she does to the baby what the rapist did to her -- uses violence against someone weaker. Abortion is NEVER the answer. Love, support, assistance, encouragement...help the pregnant rape victim get through the crisis. Many women say their children represent the one positive thing from the rape. Watch these women rape victims witness to their experiences. I am unconditionally pro-life and invite you to share this information with those who say, "I'm pro-life except for rape and incest." Don't diminish the value of these beautiful witnesses to life. God called them from the womb and with their mothers' cooperation they became something beautiful for God.

Another Reason to Vote for Todd Akin...

He's a rescuer! Democrat Patrick Murphy in Florida running against Allen West was arrested years ago in a drunken brawl. Todd Akin was arrested for defending the right to life of babies. In my book, that's one more reason to support him. He was willing to put himself on the line to protect the weakest. Isn't that what we should expect from our "public servants?"

Sometimes the Pressure Gets Results

You can count on the mainstream media to illustrate press bias with their coverage of the March for Life. I've attended about 34 of the the 39 marches and I've rarely seen a fair story. The photos almost always show close ups for the marchers to hide the size of the crowd and then the tiny group of counter protesters gets all the coverage with long quotes, etc. My biggest laugh was the year they reported that there were 10,000 pro-lifers and a "smaller crowd" of protesters. Yeah, the smaller crowd was about two dozen. Well, this year was no different, but CBS got deluged in negative comments and relented with a few long shots of the crowd. I guess hundreds of negative posts calling you blatantly biased is embarrassing. I'm surprised. I didn't think they had the capacity to be embarrassed by their dishonesty. Surprise!

It's this type of bias that has misled so many Americans into believing the leftist rhetoric about "choice." Those of us who know and love the truth need to keep the pressure on dressed in the armor of God and holding our ground. So suit up, Church Militant, and never give up an inch to the liars who believe their job isn't to report the news but make it up.

Personhood for the Unborn

The personhood movement is advancing all over the country. To see what's happening in your state go to Personhood USA. Here in Virginia, Delegate Bob Marshall has introduced HB 112 which recognizes all unborn children as persons with constitutional rights.  Unfortunately, the bill is not being supported by the Virginia Catholic Conference or the Virginia Family Foundation, presumably because they believe a court test would not be upheld. But the fact is, that there could not be a better time for personhood bills. Chief Justice John Roberts made it clear in the recent decision on campaign financing that the court is not a slave to precedents based on flawed interpretations. Roe v. Wade is a perfect example of a court legislating rather than interpreting the Constitution.

We've been using the incremental approach now for almost 40 years. It isn't working as the video below argues. It's time for personhood! If you live in Virginia contact the members of the Courts of Justice subcommittee and ask them to support HB 112. If you go to the subcommittee page you can get their contact information by clicking on their names. Please help get this bill out of subcommittee. It's time for  personhood for our unborn brothers and sisters. Don't let them continue to be our 21st century Dred Scotts, considered less than persons and suction fodder for the abortionists. If you live in another state visit the personhood website linked at my blog and check out what's happening in your state. If nothing is, maybe you can be the catalyst to start something. Remember, all politics is local and we can be salt, light and yeast in our state and county governments.

There's a great video circulating the internet with a pro-life speech by a twelve year old who is articulate, confident, and beautiful. My only caveat is the statement she makes about the woman's decision to have "unprotected sex." In view of the fact that many women who have abortions say their birth control method failed, the birth control mentality itself contributes to abortion.

Watch the video and see for yourself what the pro-life movement is nurturing in the cradle. The future is ours because it's the Lord's. Thank Him for the little warriors He's raising up from among the abortion survivors.
