Is the Staircase to Heaven Like This?

Among my favorite saints are those who made teaching the faith fun. Here are a few:

Phillip Neri loved to joke and tell funny stories: "Philip understood that it wasn't enough to tell young people not to do something -- you had to give them something to do in its place. So at Carnival time, when the worst excesses were encouraged, Philip organized a pilgrimage to the Seven Churches with a picnic accompanied by instrumental music for the mid-day break. After walking twelve miles in one day everyone was too tired to be tempted." More here...

Don Bosco was known for his acrobatic tricks and magic shows. He would entertain his audience and then teach them catechism. He's the patron saint of magicians. More here...

St. Teresa of Avila is known for saying, "May God protect me from sour-faced saints." More here...

How do you make teaching the faith fun for your children?
