I have no problem with a "well-regulated militia" bearing single-shot, muzzle-loading shotguns that can be seen slung over the shoulder at 200 yards.
I do have a problem with anyone being able to purchase a semi-automatic, multi-ammunition clip hand gun that fits in your pocket.
I've yet to hear of a law-abiding citizen with a gun make a significant difference in stopping a gun crime. I think when bullets are flying, everyone ducks. I am totally for a ban on all assault weapons and mega-clips. If hunters feel the need to continue hunting, they can keep their rifles - even though I could never befriend or understand anyone who derives pleasure out of wounding and killing an animal, I am willing to make a compromise for "tradition."
Yep.
ReplyDeleteWithout the Second, the there would be, there will be, no First.
