Inspiration for Sunday: A Black Prophet...

...who could have been talking about all the rabble rousers and race baiters at the NAACP like Al Sharpton when he made the statement below. They are the real bigots who want to keep blacks on the liberal plantation pimping for money and power by playing the race card ad infinitum.

Did you know the NAACP rejected black conservative groups from their national convention? It doesn't fit their agenda. And I wonder...do you think black youth are taught anything about these black heroes like Booker T. Washington and George Washington Carver? How about modern black heroes and role models like Clarence Thomas, Ben Carson, Mia Love, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Allen West, Alveda Washington, Star Parker, etc.? Somehow...I really doubt it!

  1. I learned about Booker T. Washington and George Washington Carver in grade school in the 1950's. So much for white racism, eh?

  2. Of course many black figures were Republican. The Republican Party used to be the party of northern progressive politics. They were considered the liberal party then. But the modern Republican Party has little to do with that Republican Party. Today, they are essentially the old Southern Democratic Party, or Dixiecrats, who stood against equal rights for blacks. Around the time of FDR, the party ideologies flipped, and the Democrats became the liberal party, and the Republicans became the party of conservatism, opposing all forms of progress for blacks.

So any proud claim of great black leaders being Republicans cannot be made without understanding the history of the party ideologies over time.

  3. And here's another. http://www.freedomsjournal.net/2011/10/22/urban-legends-the-dixiecrats-and-the-gop/

Liberals love to rewrite history. But there are plenty of faux Republicans who are really social liberals more in line with the Democrats. Which is why I consider myself an independent Republican. Even when I was a precinct chairman in Alexandria I wouldn't give out literature for country club Republicans like John Warner who was pro-abortion.

The establishment didn't care much about my precinct anyway because it was solidly Democrat.
