I have a simple, honest question: should these vile events prevent us from attending Catholic Mass and avoid the Sacraments because it condones the blasphemous and heretical actions of the Pope and Rome?
No, they should never prevent us from going to Mass.
Just a thought. I am an Anglican Priest, and strongly considered joining my best friend who was an Anglican Priest as well and leaving Anglicanism during Benedict's tenure as pope. This was due to the terrible unfaithfulness of the majority of Anglican leadership in the Episcopal Church in the US. I am sorry to see how the Roman Catholic Church has decided to follow their model, and seems to be running away from Traditional Christianity and Faithfulness to God's Word as well under Francis.
Well, don't let that bother you. I'm a former Episcopalian and can tell you that being Catholic is the biggest adventure there is on the face of the earth. Therefore follow where God is leading you which is obviously into His Church. He has plans for you.
