I was so happy to see the announcement that St. Joseph the Worker College plans to purchase the Masonic temple in Steubenville, OH. Our granddaughter lives in Steubenville, with her husband and infant son. When we head back to Wheeling, WV to visit my husband's siblings and their families we always have the double joy of visiting our granddaughter as well. She and her little family are precious to our hearts.

The Post Retreat Culture Shock
Is it too soon to go on another retreat? Returning to the world after a retreat is always a bit of a culture shock. For almost a week I:
- didn't have a single phone call
- didn't see a single newscast
- didn't hear or read a single bit of bad news
- didn't read a single e-mail

The Message of Fatima is More Important Than Ever!
The modern church has downplayed Fatima and its message of a coming severe chastisement if the world doesn't mend its ways. Why is that do you think? Could it be that the message of sin and the need for serious penance is distasteful to the zeitgeist of the day?

A Bishop for Our Time: Henry Edward Cardinal Manning - Lecture 1
I recently came across the quote above from Cardinal Manning. Frankly, I never quite trust anything I see in a Facebook meme, so I looked for the source. The cardinal's statement appeared in a collection of lectures:

Our Lady of Good Success and her Warning to the World
What if someone predicted accurately what would happen next week or next month. If it was something common, "The sun will rise next Thursday at 5:30 a.m." of course you would not be impressed. We all know that, short of the end of the world, the sun will rise. [For those literally minded, we are well aware that the sun doesn't "rise" but the earth rotates giving the illusion of the sun rising as different parts of the earth are exposed to her rays.] But suppose the person told you something unusual, that seemed unlikely, and it came to pass. Perhaps they predicted a tragedy was about to take place, a train would be derailed or you would be diagnosed next week with a terminal disease despite the fact that you had no symptoms and seemed to be in the pink of health.

Freemasonry has invaded the Church
Many Catholics no doubt wonder what has happened to our beloved Church. She is a battered and abused bride. Did you ever see a picture of a woman who's husband has infected her with syphilis? I won't post a picture because it's pretty gruesome. The Church has been infected by evil. Even though she can never be destroyed, she can be presented to the world in rags and tatters and made a mockery as the picture above illustrates. Holy Mother Church is being assaulted by a number of evil clerics intent on her destruction. They can never succeed, but they can do a lot of damage to the faith.
Why has it happened? There's a one-word answer.
Freemasonry.

It's First Friday? Great! Let's Party!!
| Orlando's Baldwin Park First Friday Festival is held EVERY First Friday |
If my two friends had overheard me ask another Catholic, "Are you going to First Friday?" they would have been astonished to know that meant going to church instead of partying all night because First Friday to the secular world and First Friday to Catholics are two different things. One is the Catholic Church's First Friday Devotions in reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the other is indeed a party - First Friday Festivals in almost every city, town and community in America and across Western civilization.

Freemasonry: What all Catholics Should know about it!
The subject of Freemasonry is complicated. It has a long and mysterious history involving people across several continents and individuals whose personal reputations we often find difficult to criticize. My own father and grandfather were Freemasons My brother is also a Freemason, and though I have tried diligently to convince him to leave it, he is certain it is not what I believe it to be. I know these men to be good and decent fathers and husbands. I have lived with them and loved them; it is difficult to imagine they were involved in anything as ugly as Freemasonry has proven to be.

Freemasonry and the Catholic Church
How a Priest becomes a Mason
by Arnaud de Lassus
Originally published in Action Familiale et Scholaire, No.161
This translation made from SPES - Seminário Permanente de Estudos SociopolÃticos Santo Tomás de Aquino, http://spessantotomas.blogspot.com
In 1999 a book was published anonymously in Italy entitled Via col vento in Vaticano and which, according to the editor of the French edition, "came from a group of dignitaries of the Vatican, 'the Millennialists', who broke the law of silence".
It is a collective writing describing various disorders affecting the Holy See. The chapters are of unequal value and some call for serious reservation. Chapter 18, The Smoke of Satan in the Vatican, treats of Freemasonry and exposes, on four pages of great interest, the process implemented to get prelates to affiliate themselves with the sect.
