I love Michelle Malkin. She's beautiful and articlate and has a lot of good, old fashioned common sense. And she's not as shrill as Ann Coulter. Here's an article from her Hot Air blog (hat tip to Gary for sending it) about the latest terrorist attempt by a Somali teenager in Portland, now named the "Christmas bomber" for trying to set off a car bomb during a Christmas tree lighting event. Fortunately, the "explosives" were provided by federal agents and there was never any danger to the public. Had it been the real thing the consequences would have been devstating. The cell phone call that was supposed to set off the bomb alerted the agents for the arrest.

Michelle uses the story to recap numerous terrorist attempts showing the "broad spectrum" of the population committing them. Funny, they all look to be Middle eastern and Black Muslim men between the ages of about 18 and 50. I don't see any three-year-olds, grannies, nuns in habits, old men with urine bags attached to their legs, kids in leg braces, old ladies with fake hips and knees, etc. (Hello, TSA, are you paying attention?)

Of course, not all Muslims are terrorists, but that isn't the only threat from Islam. The non-Muslim citizens of Dearborn, MI are struggling with the growing pressure to let the 1/3 Muslim population govern by Sharia Law. Liberal websites are mocking the idea of "creeping Sharia" but where do they think it starts? And are they blind to what's going on in other parts of the world where governments have actually capitulated to the Islamic demand of separate law courts, i.e. the U.K.? What happens to a culture when there are different laws for different populations? Chaos, perhaps? We are seeing the Balkanization of the United States and few seem to be concerned about it, least of all those who swear to uphold our Constitution and claim to care about the "common good."

Islam is a religion of violence. There's no question about it. The Koran preaches violent overthrow of the infidel who refuses to convert and rules its own, particularly women, by bloody punishment. And all the talk in the world about it being the "religion of peace" won't change the reality. Wake up, America!

Targeting American Children for Radicalism

What's all the hoopla about the president talking to the nation's children? Wouldn't it be useful to have a president exhort kids to stay in school, avoid drugs, alcohol, and sex, treat classmates with respect, and be patriotic Americans who love God, family, and country? Not a thing, of course, but we all know that's not the president's message. Obama's addressing the kids is one more sttempt to promote the cult of personality. It isn't about urging kids to be patriotic American, it's about "serving" THE ONE. And that's why parents are up in arms.

Michelle Malkin pegged it when she quoted Obama chum William Ayers who said, "education is the motor-force of revolution." And every time Obama gets ahold of the kids the message is geared, not to be a "teaching moment," but a propaganda session. See the Hollywood video below which Malkin says was shown to school children in Farmington, Utah without their parents' knowledge or consent. She concludes her article saying, "This is why informed parents do not trust the Educator-in-Chief and his 'comrades.' You can take Obama from the radicals in Chicago. But you can't take the Chicago radicalism out of Obama."

Watch these Hollywood democratic clones say they'll flush "only after a deuce and never a single," drive hybrid cars, and work with pro-abortion UNICEF because they luuuuv the president. They'll smile more, use less plastic, and plant trees. They pledge "to be of service to Barack Obama" (while kissing their biceps). This is laughable considering these elites consume more in a month than many large families do in a year. Remember when American's pledged allegiance to the flag representing their country. In the Obama-nation patriotism is passe, serving a partisan political agenda is the new fashion. Get out your barf bag before you watch Demi and her buds do the liberal tap dance. It may sound like a spoof, but they're dead serious (as in expanding the culture of death). Parents beware -- this is one more Alinsky-inspired, community organizing manipulation!

Michelle Malkin has David Letterman's Number

He's "the perv" who holds women in contempt!

David Letterman's perverted joke about baseball player, Alex Rodriguez, "knocking up" Sarah Palin's daughter during the seventh inning stretch was beyond tasteless. Palin was attending the game with 14-year-old Willow. Since when is statutory rape a joke? Letterman claimed later he was referring to the older daughter Bristol, as if that improves his crass comments. Fact is the man is a slimeball beneath contempt who wallows in his own verbal excrement. His perverted "humor" is only matched by his chutzpah! He had the gall to follow this disgusting behavior by inviting the Palins to appear on his show!

How would any mother respond to such an offer? Her spokesman dismissed it saying, “The Palins have no intention of providing a ratings boost for David Letterman by appearing on his show. Plus, it would be wise to keep Willow away from David Letterman.” Yup, parents have an obligation to protect their daughters from dirty-old-men in trenchcoats even when they're verbal perverts who leave the trenchcoats in the closet and disguise themselves in suits and ties.

Letterman has a history of attacking Sarah Palin. Why does the left hate this beautiful and articulate woman so much? Don Suber at Daily Mail has a theory:

"Too many American liberals cannot handle a strong, good-looking, intelligent, independent woman who disagrees with them — and so they make the crude, cruel and sexist remarks — including those about raping them or their 14-year-old daughters....

"So-called feminists stand on the sidelines like so many Silda Spitzers or Elizabeth Edwardses or Hillary Clintons, standing by their menfolk while the boys treat women like dirt. Heck, Mrs. Edwards even served as her husband’s attack dog against any critic — even as she knew he was sleeping with his mistress of many years.

"Consider the lack of any reaction by the left to David Letterman’s crude remark that Gov. Palin is buying make-up for that 'slutty flight attendant look' insulted not just her but every woman. How could any woman respect such a man?

"And yet the left said nothing."

Ultimately, NOW added Letterman to its "Hall of Shame," but I suspect they are snickering behind their backs. After all, Palin isn't a "real woman" because she doesn't support the feminist sacrament of abortion.

As for David Letterman - the dirty old man deserves a nighttime visit from a few good men with a bucket of tar and a feather pillow.

Congratulations, taxpayers, you are $700 billion MORE in debt!

Well, Congress did it. They signed the bailout bill, the biggest government takeover in the history of the United States. Barney Frank who is a primary culprit in this debacle should be impeached, but instead the democrats on the hill are making him a savior. The fella whose boyfriend was pimping from his townhouse has (with help from the rest of the gang) financially raped our children and grandchildren, but will anyone in government call him to account? Not likely. And liberal Massachusetts voters will probably send him back with bigger margins than ever in the next election. Ditto for Connecticut's Chris Dodd.

I hope people will take the time to peruse this bill. It is the biggest barrel of pork ever. Michelle Malkin talks about it saying, "They put a gun to our heads....Washington’s pork-stuffed panic mob forked over $700billion/$850billion/$1 trillion-plus of our money over to the Chicken Littles, who handed it over to Foxy Loxy at the Treasury Department."

And they're already oinking for more and the Democrats are doing a good job of convincing people that this is the Republicans' (read George Bush's) fault. It's not, it started with Jimmy Carter and was exacerbated by Clinton, but the "solution" may be. Bush could have backed a real, economically-sensible strategy instead of this monster filled with earmarks, but he's a big-government guy and this let's government grow exponentially. Christian economist Dave Ramsey will discuss the aftermath of the bailout on his radio program Monday. You may want to listen.

One thing's for sure, panic reactions generally lead to bad solutions and this is a case in point. It's just the beginning, folks...watch for more bailouts to come. By the way, did you know that while the focus was on the banks, Congress voted to give a $25 billion bailout to the auto industry in September? Of course, it was ONLY $25 billion.

For Christians I think the message is pray and get out of debt. Give the country a good example. If you can't afford it, don't buy it. Continue to share what you have with the poor through charities you know are trustworthy (the Missionaries of Charity come to mind). Don't give your hard-earned money to the Catholic Campaign for Human Development which funds some of the very organizations that contributed to this mess and do not help the poor. Also, be sure to see how your senators and congressman voted. If they supported the bailout bill, boot them out in the next election. I'm happy to say, my Virginia Congressman, Bob Goodlatte, was one of the brave house members who said NO! Outgoing Senator John Warner and Democrat Jim Webb both voted yes. SHAME!

One last piece of advice. If you live in the country it might be a good idea to raise some pigs. At least you can eat that kind of pork when things get really tough -- maybe some chickens too for bacon and eggs.
