Isn't it interesting that at the same time "safe touch" programs are supposedly teaching kids to protect themselves from predators, schools, like those in Basel, Switzerland, are teaching them using model genitalia and having them massage each other with "warm sandbags." (Kindergarten boys would rather throw sandbags at each other than massage each other with them!)

Here's an excerpt from the article:

The kit for teachers to give sex-education lessons to primary school children uses models and recommends having children massage each other or to rub themselves with warm sand bags, accompanied by soft music, according to The Local, a Swiss newspaper in English.

“Children should be encouraged to develop and experience their sexuality in a pleasurable way,” Daniel Schneider, a deputy kindergarten rector for Basel who helped develop the sex ed curriculum along with experts, had said earlier this year. He added, “It’s important that they learn to say no if they don’t want to be touched in a certain area.”

Just envision the scene. Little Johnny is in "sex box" class. Teacher has the children rubbing each other with warm sandbags. He fills in with individual children. (Use your imagination.) "Is it okay to touch you here? How about here? Does that feel good? Do you want me to touch you here? Why don't you rub yourself here"

Well, maybe the teacher won't do it in class. Maybe it will be an older child in the neighborhood who had the fourth grade version of "sex box" and demonstrates what he learned on little Sally and Tommy who are five years younger.

This is nothing but grooming children for pedophiles.

As for the developers of this, they are the "professional" version of the guy in the bushes in a trenchcoat waiting for his victims.  Parents in Switzerland are up in arms, but the program is mandatory and they will not be allowed to opt out. Isn't it interesting that Switzerland is the same place where they have suicide mills. The culture of death is on the fast track there. First kill the body, then kill innocence. The only solution to this kind of evil is to pray and fast and work to evangelize and convert the culture. Shine the light on evil and advance the light. And may God protect the children.

The Island of Dr. Moreau is for Real!

The Island of Dr. Moreau is a novel by H.G. Wells about a scientist doing experiments to create animal/human hybrids. (Read a synopsis here.) It is chilling to say the least, but it's not real. Unfortunately, I can't say that about experiments in the U.K. being conducted by modern day Dr. Moreaus who are dabbling in their labs using poor little infants created in the image of God in their evil experiments. Talk about science gone mad!

Knights of Columbus Controversy Continued

I've been getting plenty of comments and e-mail flack for my post on the Knights of Columbus. Some of it accuses me of "spread[ing] venom." Other kinder comments address the good the Knights do and compare sinners among their members to the sinners in the Church. They say my position is comparable to urging people to leave the Church because of bad leadership among the bishops. You can read some of the comments here if you're interested.

Let me respond by presenting some scenarios and asking some questions.

Teach your children the truth about marriage -- God's view of marriage. The world didn't create marriage between a man and woman, God did, in the Garden of Eden when he made Adam and Eve and gave them to each other. Two men or two women (or three or four or six) can pretend to be married, but their bodies don't fit together. (Have you noticed?) And they certainly can't create new life with each other.

Those who pretend that fellatio and sodomy are sexual intercourse live in the worst kind of delusion. In a sane society we'd call them crazy, but sin makes you stupid and we live in the sinful culture of death. The question is how much longer will God let this insanity continue? Pray hard. I personally believe the only reason the world is still here is the amount of Eucharistic adoration going on around the world and the number of people receiving the sacraments and praying the rosary. Like the Blessed Mother said at Fatima -- penance, penance, penance. Pray, pray, pray for mercy on our poor deluded world.

Grandma Gruesome Peddles Suicide Kits

At 91 you would think a persons is contemplating the afterlife and where she might spend it. But this geriatric gargoyle is busy sewing up suicide kits to kill people. What do you think the Lord will say to her on judgment day?

As for her being "compassionate," that's a masquerade. Usually the people these folks want to spare from suffering are themselves. I was with both my mom and dad when they died. They both had terminal cancer. It wasn't pleasant, but the pain was manageable with the meds and they both knew that suffering has value. Daddy used to tell us he was getting souls out of purgatory.

There is one kind of suffering that has no value at all -- hell. This lady is likely to find that out personally if she doesn't repent.

Baby Joseph Gets Tracheotomy and Will Be Going Home Soon

According to Cardinal Glennon Hospital, Baby Joseph received a tracheotomy today and is doing well. The baby will stay in the pediatric intensive care unit for 7-10 days then be transferred to another pediatric hospital temporarily before returning to Windsor where the family hopes to have a few more months together with their little son. French Woman Admits to Suffocating Her 8 Newborns

This AP story reports that many are horrified over what this woman did? Why? The babies were unwanted. Doesn't she have self determination. And her method of post natal abortion is a lot more compassionate that pulling a baby out feet first, stabbing him in the neck with a scissors, and sucking out his brain or burning his skin off with saline solution.

 Hey, this woman was just pro-choice and her choice was no babies. The natural development of the abortion mentality is infanticide and we've been moving that way for years. Why should anyone be surprised and horrified (except for those pathetic pro-lifers who are always waving the bloody fetus) when it actually happens? There's not much difference between the full term baby and the little ones shown in the trash bag. Maybe her lawyer should try to get the charge changed to performing an illegal post natal abortion.

Extreme Cases Make Bad Law

An English stroke victim, Tony Nicklinson, is fighting for the right to have his wife kill him with a lethal injection. He says he has no quality of life and wants to be dead, but as a stroke victim in "locked in" state, he cannot do anything for himself. He cannot kill himself or even participate in his own suicide. He needs to be directly killed. He is challenging the law to make it possible, seeking the assurance that his wife will not be charged with murder. The irony of the news story below is its ending, where the reporter talks about death releasing Tony from a "living hell." But what if the "release" results in his plunging into eternal hell, the unquenchable fire?  Is it worth trading 20 years of suffering for an eternity's worth?

 

We do not belong to ourselves; we belong to God. Suffering has value. My own brother (55) who suffered a debilitating stroke last summer and has also contracted a seriously debilitating condition called recurring transverse mylitis also has limited quality of life. But rather than focusing on his own suffering, John has been offering his suffering for others and praying and keeping his sense of humor. Granted, his condition is less severe, but terrible nonetheless.

The worst scenario will be the result if the Nicklinsons are successful in changing the law. Every handicapped individual will be at the mercy of caregivers who may believe they are better off dead. Legalizing the murder of Tony Nicklinson would endanger millions of sick and suffering people. Look at the euthanasia laws in the Netherlands where people are being offed without their consent. Will England be next?

Self Proclaimed "Devout Catholic" Nancy Pelosi Gets Planned Parenthood Award

Nancy Pelosi is arguably one of the most effective proponents of child killing in the country, so effective, in fact, that Planned Parenthood established a new award (Champions of Women's Health) to recognize her efforts in passing the massive expansion of abortion in Obamacare. Here's what PP says about her on their website:

As the first female Speaker of the House, Rep. Nancy Pelosi was instrumental in the passage of the historic health care reform legislation. During the health care reform debate she led her female colleagues in Congress as they stood strong against attempts to insert the Stupak abortion ban into the bill. Yup, from PP's perspective Nancy is a "champion." Already, Obamacare is providing $160 million for abortions in Pennsylvania and PP, as the nation's largest abortion provider will no doubt get the lion's share. And that's just the beginning.

What ever happened to that famous "executive order" that was going to prevent tax dollars from killing children? It was the Joker's trick from the beginning. Similar funding is expected to spread to the other states so the abortion largesse will be expanding exponentially. Meanwhile, if you're elderly and need a hip replacement good luck.

Obamacare was never about health care. It is the biggest expansion of the culture of death in my lifetime. Maybe it will even fund my death since I'm one of those pesky baby boomers who need to be hastened into the next world to save money. No doubt someone in the administration is working up a cost-benefit analysis right now about anyone over 60 who isn't a member of the Democrats' Beltway aristocracy.

I can't help feeling sorry for Nancy, though. She either has convinced herself there's no hell or that nobody goes there. Meanwhile she's racing headlong and heedless toward that place of neverending fire. It's the "new direction" she and her cronies are taking America.

Please pray for Nancy. She did, after all, have a baptismal day when the priest clothed her in a white garment and claimed her for the Lord.  That she has traded that garment for the devil's livery is a tragedy. And remember the rejoicing in heaven over one repentant sinner. Where there's life, there's hope of conversion. Besides, Nancy isn't really the enemy; she's only marching under his standard with smoke in her eyes and sulphur in her soul. May God help her to see the light before it's too late.

Chastity Bono Petitions Judge to Change Name and Gender

Don't you love the virtual reality culture. A doctor cuts off your breasts and fools around with other parts of your anatomy and then tells a judge, "Abbra-kadabbra, Chastity the woman is now Chaz the man."

If Chastity/Chaz insisted she is Napoleon or Attila the Hun, she would be put in a straightjacket and escorted to the mental ward. But in the politically correct world of "You can be whatever you want to be," Chastity can pretend she is a man and the whole world bows down to her insanity.

Where is the little boy of the fairy tale who says, "The Emperor has no clothes?" It isn't just Chastity who needs a reality check, but the nutcase doctors who go along with this charade. The verdict is still out on the judge who will hear the case on May 6.

A Partnership Made in Hell!

If you take money and other goodies from demons, they always want something in return. Rumpelstiltskin demanded the firstborn child of the miller's daughter for spinning straw into gold. Mephistopheles demanded Faust's soul in exchange for knowledge. Which leads me to a question about pro-abortion foundations pumping money into Catholic Relief Services. What do they expect to get from it? Respectability? Silence about their funding of population control and other evils? What exactly are the bishops through the USCCB selling by taking blood money from two of the biggest promoters of child-killing around the world? That's the question explored by Randy Engel in her article, Catholic Relief Services Forms Partnership with the Death Peddlars:

According to the CRS official website (www.crs.org), the Gates Foundation is “guided by the belief that every life has equal value.” CRS praises the foundation’s work “to help all people lead healthy, productive lives,” and “to ensure that all people… have access to the opportunities they need to succeed in school and life. …”

In exchange for perpetuating this glorious deception and maintaining a silence on the Gates/Buffett world-wide killing machine, CRS has received in excess of $40 million for global and agricultural development and financial services for the poor from 2003 to 2009. Compared to the billions Bill and Melinda Gates and Warren Buffett and his family spend on their true passion – baby killing and. population control – it’s a drop in the bucket, of course, but I’m sure they consider their money well spent. In reviewing the anti-life record of the Gateses and Buffetts, one they have successfully keep out of the public eye, thanks to organizations like CRS.

Engel goes on to itemize the massive funding by these two foundations of pro-abortion and population control groups. The list is a Who's Who of child-killing: Planned Parenthood, NOW, NARAL, Catholics for a Free Choice, Center for Reproductive Rights, Population Council, Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, and on and on. The foundations have funded embryonic stem cell and cloning research and clinical trials for RU-486. The involvement of these two groups advancing the culture of death with their multi-million dollar grants staggers the imagination.

On the other hand, the Gates Foundation gave CRS 2.9 million dollars in food grants in 2008 and a million for Haiti relief after the recent earthquake.

What do they get for their money? Glowing articles on the CRS website:

"Thanks to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, CRS will be able to ramp up our efforts to serve those suffering from the effects of the global food crisis in these three countries," said CRS President Ken Hackett. "Our partnership with the foundation will help us to meet the immediate needs of hungry families, while investing in greater agricultural production to provide more food in the future." You can find dozens of articles linked to the CRS website that glowingly refer to the projects and programs funded by the Gates and Buffett foundations. What you won't find is any criticism of their efforts to kill off the children of the poor (or the middle class, or blacks, or Asians, etc.). In fact, I challenge you to do a search on the internet trying to find any criticism from the USCCB about the anti-life activities of these death peddlars. I couldn't find anything. Not a single thing. Nada! Zero! Zilch! The  silence speaks volumes.

Who is making strong statements? Fr. Tom Euteneuer of Human Life International. What's the likelihood he'll ever wear a pectoral cross?

CRS is one more department of the USCCB that is tainted by association with the culture of death. As Engel points out in her article:

Unlike the CCHD, which should be disbanded, CRS, founded in 1943, has a long history of legitimate service to the Church especially in regard to refugee settlement and emergency disaster relief programs. The tragedy is that it has become just another compromised entity of the American Bishops’ national bureaucracy which systematically poisons everything it touches. The removal of the Bill and Melinda Gates and Buffett Foundations from the roster of CRS partners/donors list is important, but the problems with CRS run much deeper and are unlikely to be resolved by the liberal, leftist establishment and staff that runs and controls the USCCB.

In closing I return to the question of what these radically pro-abortion, pro-population control groups are trying to buy with their money. I can only presume from my, albeit limited, research that their goal is Church silence about their evil agenda. It's the same silence the state buys with the tax exempt status which keeps so many bishops gagged trembling that they'll lose Caesar's gold if they boldly speak the truth.

Pray that the Lord will wake up our shepherds with the words of Deuteronomy. "I set before thee this day, life and prosperity, death and destruction. Choose life that you and your children may live." Jesus told his followers that you cannot serve both God and money. Choose God or choose Mammon. Trying to choose both is a partnership made in hell.

Is the Manahattan Declaration Compromised?

Have you read the Manhattan Declaration? It's the ecumenical document that addresses the issues of abortion, embryonic stem cell research, euthanasia and assisted suicide, same sex marriage, and conscience protection for those refusing to support those immoralities. It's a wonderful document in many ways and eloquently addresses the issues. But there's a serious omision: contraception.

Roe v. Wade wasn't the court decision that made abortion inevitable. It was Griswold v. Connecticut. That decision plucked out of thin air the "privacy" claim that undergirded Roe. Just as Roe demolished all the laws in the country against abortion, Griswold demolished all the laws against contraception, laws put into place in the 19th century by a Protestant Congress as a matter of fact. And it was the acceptance of contraception and the contraceptive mentality that led, as surely as night follows day, to abortion.

Eminent Catholic lawyer Charles Rice recently pointed out the problem with the Manhattan Declaration in a thoughtful piece in The Observer, an independent paper that serves Notre Dame and St. Mary's in South Bend. Here's an excerpt that addresses the serious flaw in the document:

MD, unfortunately, misreads the origins of the “culture of death.” MD describes “the cheapening of life that began with abortion” and “the license to kill that began with the abandonment of the unborn to abortion.” Legalized abortion, however, and the other evils denounced by MD, are not origins, but rather symptoms of the contraceptive ethic that dominates our secularist, relativist and individualist culture....

In Humanae Vitae, Pope Paul VI predicted that the acceptance of contraception would place “a dangerous weapon … in the hands of … public authorities …. for applying to … problems of the community those means acknowledged to be licit for married couples ... Who will stop rulers from … imposing upon their peoples … the method of contraception which they judge to be most efficacious? In such a way men would [place] at the mercy of … public authorities the most personal … sector of conjugal intimacy” (No. 17).

The failure of MD, in its catalogue of legalized promotions of the “culture of death,” even to mention the entry by government into the business of subsidizing by contraception the rejection of new life, is inexcusable. Once that role of government was conceded, the other evils denounced by MD were predictable. Perhaps the purpose of MD was to put together a coalition of signers that would include proponents of public funding of contraception. If so, MD politicized and trivialized itself....

MD forthrightly calls attention to evils that transcend the political as a challenge to reason, nature and God himself. MD itself would have transcended the political if it had called on the American people to put their primary reliance on prayer. Without a confrontation of contraception and its promotion by government, and without a serious call to prayer, MD invites dismissal as just another syncretistic manifesto cast in powerful prose that misses the point.

Why did the drafters of the Manhattan Declaration leave out the serious evil of contraception? Even abortifacient "contraception" including the morning after pill, is not mentioned. One can only presume that contraception was seen as a sticking point for potential supporters of the effort. For example, one public defender of contraception is James Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family and a signer of the Declaration. Presumably there were many others.

Does this serious flaw "invite dismissal as just another synretistic manifesto...that misses the point" as Charles Rice asserts? My gut instinct is to say yes, but when I examine the list of supporters who I admire and respect I feel a little intimidated to say so. But then I think of the millions of babies murdered by abortifacient birth control who dwarf the numbers killed in abortion mills. Was it right to make them invisible? And what about the souls of those who, not only are willing to kill the body, but the soul. If an act of intercourse was meant by God to result in a child and the couple thwarts the natural end of the act, do they not kill a soul will the absolute non-existence of a soul? After all, the aborted babies continue to exist, but the little one who is denied existence is denied the face of God for all eternity.

I've read the Declaration several times and part of me really wants to sign. But so far I just can't get around that sick feeling in the pit of my stomach that somehow it's a compromise I don't have the right to make.

 

ALERT: Stopping at McDonald's May Be Child Abuse!

I used to think it was a joke when folks talked about the food police banning Big Macs. But it's not a joke any more. Parents in Scotland have had their children removed because the kids are overweight. That's now considered "abuse." Is it on the horizon here? No, it's already here.

This is the insanity of the culture of death where stabbing a baby in the head and sucking out his brains is a legal exercise of "choice," but buying your kid a big mac is an act of abuse. The families who have these grossly obese children need help, not a criminal record and having their kids snatched! I live in one of the fattest counties in Virginia. Is Social Services going to bring a scale to school and take all the children who are more than 100 pounds overweight? How about 50? How about 30? 25? Somebody wake me up; it must be a nightmare!

By the way, the last time I was in a public school there were vending machines filled with candy bars, chips, oreos, sugary sodas, and other unhealthy treats. Can parents with obese children sue the school system for putting temptation in their children's paths? Government nannies, heal thyselves.

Targeting American Children for Radicalism

What's all the hoopla about the president talking to the nation's children? Wouldn't it be useful to have a president exhort kids to stay in school, avoid drugs, alcohol, and sex, treat classmates with respect, and be patriotic Americans who love God, family, and country? Not a thing, of course, but we all know that's not the president's message. Obama's addressing the kids is one more sttempt to promote the cult of personality. It isn't about urging kids to be patriotic American, it's about "serving" THE ONE. And that's why parents are up in arms.

Michelle Malkin pegged it when she quoted Obama chum William Ayers who said, "education is the motor-force of revolution." And every time Obama gets ahold of the kids the message is geared, not to be a "teaching moment," but a propaganda session. See the Hollywood video below which Malkin says was shown to school children in Farmington, Utah without their parents' knowledge or consent. She concludes her article saying, "This is why informed parents do not trust the Educator-in-Chief and his 'comrades.' You can take Obama from the radicals in Chicago. But you can't take the Chicago radicalism out of Obama."

Watch these Hollywood democratic clones say they'll flush "only after a deuce and never a single," drive hybrid cars, and work with pro-abortion UNICEF because they luuuuv the president. They'll smile more, use less plastic, and plant trees. They pledge "to be of service to Barack Obama" (while kissing their biceps). This is laughable considering these elites consume more in a month than many large families do in a year. Remember when American's pledged allegiance to the flag representing their country. In the Obama-nation patriotism is passe, serving a partisan political agenda is the new fashion. Get out your barf bag before you watch Demi and her buds do the liberal tap dance. It may sound like a spoof, but they're dead serious (as in expanding the culture of death). Parents beware -- this is one more Alinsky-inspired, community organizing manipulation!
