The Normalization of Gay Marriage and Gay Ideology!

National Review has unconditionally surrendered to same-sex ‘marriage’

Let us pray to have
a heart for poor sinners!
I found this article truly alarming because it emphasizes how the normalization of "gay" ideology is increasingly infecting conservatism. I'm familiar with a number of the conservative "gays" mentioned in the article. Last year I listened to Andy Gno's book on Antifa. These are men and women who share many of my concerns and beliefs. And yet.....

When acceptance of same sex marriage is mainstream and "normal" we are truly on a rapid descent into the abyss. Remember that this sin is one that "cries to heaven for vengeance." Not only that, but many of these individuals with disordered passions are rearing children. What will that do to the future of our world?

St. Jacinta of Fatima had a heart for "poor sinners" and I'm sympathetic to these same-sex attracted individuals for a number of reasons, but one stands out! I wonder how much environmental factors are contributing to the unmasculating of boys and their sense that they are in the wrong body. Why do more and more young boys feel like girls.

Nevermind How You Feel, Tell Me What You Think!

I listened to Rush Limbaugh on the radio one day last week.  A caller said he noticed most people today will rarely reply to a question by saying, “I think….”  They generally, he said, reply, “I feel…”  The two continued to discuss the difference.  Rush said it is easy to feel anything, but to THINK requires effort, conviction, rational thought and a rejection of the alternatives to the answer given.  How anyone feels can’t be argued with especially when what they say is couched in such a way as to not offend someone else or prevent them from not liking you.

General Mills Goes Gay

General Mills came out of the closet this week at a gay pride event to shill for same-sex marriage. CEO  Ken Peters claims it's necessary to keep their business competitive. Why this statement and why now? Minnesota has an amendment on the ballot in November upholding traditional marriage. In every state that's voted, the electorate chooses real marriage not the faux "let's play house" homosexual alternative.

How can a business that uses cartoon characters to convince families to buy their products for the kids believe that support for sodomite marriage is necessary and good for business? Frankly, I don't think they really do. Like other companies coming out for the gay agenda, there are probably upper level gay executives pushing for this. As for their move being good for business, well, you can be sure that no General Mills products will ever cross my doorstep again even when the house is full of grandkids. No, let the LGBT crowd stuff themselves on Trix, Count Chocula, Lucky Charms, Kix, Wheaties, and Cheerios. I'll miss my Wheat Chex, but will easily adapt to an alternative.  Let's show General Mills that attacking the traditional family is not as good for business as their CEO thinks. And I have a suggestion for a new cereal, Goofballs, with Goofy on the box cover. Disney will probably happily make a deal for the Goofy rights. If not,  General Mills can just use a photo of CEO Ken Peters. And for a list of General Mills other products, go here.

Mary's Land About to Commit Anti-Marriage Abomination

I was born in Maryland so I always sigh when I see this once Catholic state sink another fathom into the abyss of immorality. The House signed a "gay marriage" bill last week and the senate is expected to follow with "Catholic" mayor O'Malley hot to sign it the minute it hits his desk. What should immediately happen after that, of course, is for Cardinal O'Brien to issue an interdict banning O'Malley from Communion until he publicly repents. One would hope the Cardinal has been in communication with the mayor informing him of the serious consequences of his actions should he sign such an immoral bill. But then Democrats in Mary's Land, Catholic or no, are notorious for dissing Almighty God in favor of the latest experiment in social depravity. What are the consequences of moral depravity? Ultimately violence. I have no doubt that we are on the road to a global war unless we imitate the people of Nineveh and put on sackcloth and ashes and repent. Pray for peace this Lent and repent. Changing the world begins with the personal conversion of each one of us. Pray, fast, and give alms -- but make your almsgiving count. Skip CCHD, Catholic Relief Services, and Catholic Charities (no rice bowl for my family). They are all in bed with the feds and have sold their souls to Mammon.

Cardinal Wuerl to give invocation at mayor's inauguration despite his support for gay marriage

Wouldn't Henry VIII love the bench of bishops in the United States -- at least those like Cardinal Wuerl who is scheduled to give the invocation at Vincent Gray's inauguration as mayor of D.C. Gray is a pro gay marriage Catholic who says he attends Mass regularly (and presumably receives Communion while he thumbs his nose at the Church) but that apparently doesn't give the cardinal a qualm.

I wish I could believe that he'll pray that the government of D.C. will stand up for traditional marriage, but the odds of that seem pretty slim. This is, after all, the man who turned a blind eye to Nancy Pelosi's coronation at Trinity College where the Mass was celebrated by the notorious pro-abortion Jesuit Fr. Robert Drinan.

The cardinal has also made it clear he has no problem giving Jesus to those receiving Communion sacrilegiously.

No, there's not much hope that Cardinal Wuerl will publicly offend the high and mighty by raining on the inaugural parade. It would be so outrĂ© and he might be banned from the elite D.C. society. Just think, what if he had no social options but slumming it with ordinary faithful Catholics in the pew?

From the land of lunacy: today a beauty contest, tomorrow? Look at history!

It's interesting (in a masochistic sort of way) to watch the lunatic hysteria over Miss California's statement about "gay marriage." First of all, Carrie Prejean WAS politically correct when she said how wonderful it was to live in a country where people could basically "choose one or the other" (same sex or opposite sex marriage). If she had stopped there the gay community would be licking her Miss USA diamond tiara. But she then had the courage to give her politically incorrect personal opinion, "In my family and the way I was brought up" marriage should be between a man and a woman. (Shocking! horrifying! how dare she?) Interestingly, the audience agreed with Carrie measured by applause. (You can hear it yourself on YouTube.) Nonetheless she is now a target for every gay activist on the planet and all their fellow travelers.

Perez Hilton illustrated how utterly despicable and without any trait of the gentleman he is. (As one wag put it, "You first have to be a man to be a gentleman.") First he described this lovely young woman as a "dumb b----" because she didn't answer the question to his liking. Then he apologized. Then he retracted his apology (presumably after he tested the waters of popularity) and said he was actually thinking the "c" word. Barbarian is probably too kind a description to use for Perez Hilton. (Pray for him. That's what Carrie said she would do.)

Obviously The question had only one acceptable answer and one purpose -- to increase and advance the gay "marriage" agenda. On Larry King, Hilton said, “I do expect Miss USA to be politically correct" so it was clearly the "gotcha" question. Whichever contestant got it, she was supposed to be a patsy and shill for gay "marriage." (It's certainly interesting that the Christian contestant who was willing to stand up for her true beliefs drew the question - and admitted praying her way through it. I wish she had prayed herself into a modest bathing suit.)

One of the big losers in this controversy in my opinion is the Miss USA pageant and their affiliate, Miss California. Miss USA has been losing viewers over the past few years and this controversy is likely to alienate many, especially conservatives whether people of faith or just people of sense. The Miss California organizers were downright pathetic! Instead of apologizing for the vile and infantile behavior of Perez Hilton, they chose to attack Carrie Prejean instead. According to columnist Michelle Malkin, "The pageant director of the Miss California contest, Keith Lewis, sent a note to Hilton throwing Prejean under the bus: 'I am personally saddened and hurt that Miss CA USA 2009 believes marriage rights belong only to a man and a woman...Religious beliefs have no place in politics in the Miss CA family.'"

Huh? Does this guy realize that the voters of California agree with Carrie not Hilton? And let me ask him a question. Is it okay for atheists and humanists to have an opinion on politics? Are only Christians disqualified? Will they be screened out in future Miss California contests? Maybe Lewis needs to review the Nuremberg Laws in Germany that disqualified Jews from participating in German society. Or the Jim Crow laws that discriminated against blacks. Is intolerance a virtue when practiced by gay activists and liberals?

This controversy is not insignificant. It's a warning to all those who espouse politically incorrect views. Basically -- you have no rights. If a woman can be denied a beauty title for her non PC views (as Hilton said was the case) what about others? Will Christian teachers be barred from public school classrooms? What about doctors, other health care workers, and hospitals -- will they be forced to participate in abortions? Will ministers who talk about the sinfulness of sodomy be arrested for hate speech as in Canada? Will people's thoughts and opinions be surveyed before they can get a job? Will they be fired if they contribute to the "wrong" party or support a proposal like Proposition 8?

The thought police were at the Miss USA contest and they deep-sixed Carrie Prejean's chance to win because she stated her OPINION. In view of the real threat of hate crime laws, reinstatement of the fairness doctrine, legislation threatening doctors and health care workers who oppose abortion, etc. does anyone really think this is limited to a beauty contest? Christians may not be forced to sew crucifixes on their clothing, but the discrimination will be just as real and is already well underway.

Unfortunately, Perez Hilton speaks for many in this country today including the fellow travellers who buy the lies of the gay activists. Do the research, folks. More and more the gay community is embracing the lifestyle and vile rhetoric of its most extreme members. Those who disagree will be made to suffer for it: today, the Miss USA contest, tomorrow a job, the day after...? Look at history.

A Modern Tragedy - Isabella's Story

Isabella was conceived in 2001, not in the loving embrace of a mom and a dad, but in the office of an infertility specialist inseminating Lisa Miller with the sperm of an anonymous donor. Lisa and her lesbian partner, Janet Jenkins "got hitched" in Stowe, VT in 2000 during a brief vacation there and then returned to Virginia where the civil union wasn't recognized. They moved to Vermont, but the relationship collapsed and Lisa returned to Virginia with Isabella. Things went downhill from there and Lisa petitioned for an end to the civil union in Vermont.

Lisa and Janet both come from troubled pasts. Janet's brother committed suicide. Lisa cared for years for a mentally ill mom who was abusive. Reading their story is a lesson in how lesbians are made, not born.

To make a long story short - Lisa left the lesbian lifestyle and tried to gain full custody of Isabella. Janet wants full custody and the legal battle has raged in both Virginia and Vermont. Tomorrow the parties go to court once again in Vermont and it's possible Janet, the non-biological parent who remains in the lesbian lifestyle, will gain full custody of Isabella. Please pray and fast that this does not happen. You can keep up with this case by joining the Facebook group "Only One Mommy."

This case is just a preview of the disaster that homosexual civil unions/"marriages" are for children. It also illustrates the truth of Catholic teaching on marriage and sexuality.

Scripture tells us that the sins of the parents are visited on the children. Isabella's tragedy is just one more example of this truth.
