Nabi Sayeth: The clean up and disinfecting of our beloved Catholic Church has begun and it must not stop until completed.

Bishops, Lavender clergy, and unfortunately, members of the laity, often affluent, have together allowed incredible harm to be done to our children, teens and young adults. In addition, the “higher ups” including the papal nuncio (stationed in DC and who serves as the pope’s point man in the US), Vatican cardinals and department heads, and tragically, even the Pope himself, have allowed the WV cover ups to occur and continue without fear of exposure or discipline. Everyone covers for everyone else!

One such cover up involved a clergyman who, though “retired,” continues to fill in at parishes around the diocese. Pat Wash is a very sick sexual deviant.

We had the pleasure of going to Alaska recently on a cruise with a group of about 150 people who are supporters of the Media Research Center, headed by Brent Bozell.  There was a list of “celebrity guests” along to speak daily in panel discussions and one on one interview with Brent about things that concern conservative Republicans in today’s world.

Homosexuals have no place in the priesthood. Men who are attracted to men should not put themselves in a source of continuous temptation. Their disordered sexual drive makes them a danger to young boys and men. If they rise to positions of power in the Church, they have the further temptation to use that power to gain sexual favors by bribery and intimidation. Hey, that's not speculation, we have a number of examples of both heterosexual and homosexual bishops. But most of the abuse was homosexual in nature (more than 70% according to the John Jay Report).

Pope Francis promises accountability. Let's pray he won't be stonewalled and will clean out the nest of vipers in the Church hierarchy.

Pray that every homosexual priest in the country is exposed. (No pun intended.) You cannot live a double life pretending to be a heterosexual who has given up wife and family in service to the Lord when you haven't. Homosexuals give up nothing when they enter the priesthood and they place themselves in a serious occasion of sin.

Our two sons attended an Oblate high school in Virginia in the late 80s and early 90s, Bishop Ireton (BI)  in Alexandria. What a waste of money for parents whose primary concern was learning the faith! I used to fight with the principal over goings on like inviting pro-abortion speakers to the school and indoctrinating the kids in liberal politics during government class. The government teacher worked in the Carter administration and made no bones about his support for a local pol, Jim Moran, a pro-abortion Catholic. I'm not sure if Moran still attends a Catholic parish or switched to a Protestant church. In any case his beliefs have nothing to do with those of Jesus no matter what he calls himself and he continues to advance the liberal pro-abort, pro-homosexual agenda in Congress. Unfortunately, BI was more interested in hob-nobbing with power than teaching the faith.

Under Archbishop Favalora, Miami was a homosexual paradise where pastors had open relationships with their same-sex lovers and embezzled from Church funds to pay for their high-living lifestyle. The 2002 Dallas meeting took a serious problem and ducked it, foisting the blame onto priests and parents and establishing offensive (and expensive) touching programs in most dioceses. While the bishops scapegoated their priests, they excused themselves. And so things go. If you think the sex abuse problem is behind us, you are living in a dream world. Go here, experience righteous anger, and stay or get into the fight. The vigilance of the laity is the best hope for the reform of the clergy and the defense of Holy Mother Church.

How Many of Priestly Sex Abuse Cases Were Based on Fraud?

We live in an age of rampant dishonesty. Studies of students show that many have no problem with submitting plagiarized papers, cheating on tests, etc. Ted Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Joe Biden, and any number of other prominent figures are well-known for submitting plagiarised work. So is anyone really surprised that where big bucks are involved people will lie and cheat? "Love of money is the root of all evils."

A lawyer and retired FBI agent who have investigated over 100 priestly sex abuse allegations in Los Angeles believe about half are fraudulent. Donald Steier, a veteran investigative aattorney, says, among other things,“I am aware of several plaintiffs who testified that they realized that they had been abused only after learning that some other person – sometimes a relative – had received a financial settlement from the Archdiocese or another Catholic institution.” (Emphasis in original.) Hey, the Catholic Church has deep pockets!

Certainly, priests who commit terrible crimes against children must be brought to justice, but, in our system of justice, people have a right to be faced by their accusers and receive a free trial. For many priests the accusation is the equivalent of guilt. How easy for someone with a grudge against a priest to accuse him as pay back. An accusation should bring a serious diocesan investigation. Certainly accused bishops have made sure they got all the benefits of diocesan resources to defend themselves. But many have been quick to sell their spiritual sons down the river.

El Paso Catholic Priest Calls Homosexual Activity an Intrinsic Moral Evil

Go here to see the article by Fr. Michael Rodriquez warning the faithful about the intrinsic evil of homosexual activity and its advancement. To admonish the sinner is a spiritual work of mercy. Ditto when a priest points out to the enabler that he is cooperating with evil. This is not mean-spirited, lacking in compassion, intolerant, or any of the other nonsense that homosexuals spout as they "jam" their agenda down the throats of traditional American families. Pray for homosexuals enslaved to lust, but never let them intimidate you into silence. And a great big thank you to Fr. Rodriquez! Now if we could just get the homosexuals out of the priesthood.

Standing up for the Truth at a Cost

The pope recently said that the greatest crisis is not the attack from outside, but the sin within the Church. Mike Voris at the Vortex speaks about it in one of his latest video commentaries which had special meaning for me because it talked about the cost of speaking the truth.

Fr. James Haley knows exactly what that cost is. When he brought information to Bishop Loverde he ended up being thrown out of the rectory and essentially cut off from the family of the Church. For a year he was silenced and shunned, but when he responded to a legal deposition exposing the horrors he discovered the persecution escalated and he became a man without a church, an outcast from his brothers, the rejected man.

A pastor of mine once said that there is no one deader than a dead priest because he has no family and is easily forgotten. There are few people to pray for him. But I think even "deader" than he is is a priest like Fr. Haley who is not only forgotten, but a pariah.

This is the cost of exposing the homosexual priest problem and a few priests have paid it. Most just leave, but some, forced out but reluctant to start a new life, live in a perennial limbo.

And is the problem really behind us? When an entire diocese (Miami) is exposed as being run by a homosexual cabal, one can only wonder how many others operate in the same way? How many continue to keep the secret?

Look at a diocese filled with dissent and there is likely a homosexual connection. The truth and the lie cannot coexist. And the homosexual bishop or priest is living a lie. He pretends to choose a celibate lifestyle, i.e., not to marry, but he has no interest in marriage in the first place. His choice of the priesthood, rather than being a sacrifice, puts him in his ideal situation. He is surrounded by men, some homosexuals like himself. He lives with men, vacations with men, enjoys the company of men and no one thinks anything of it. It's normal. His "special friend" raises few alarms.

Milwaukee under homosexual bishop Rembert Weakland is a perfect example of the dissent-ridden church created by a homosexual. The most immoral sex ed programs were introduced there. Dissent was rampant. Cleaning up the mess, like the fifth work of Hercules (to clean out the Augean stables in a single day), is a daunting task. And the problem is multiplied many times over throughout the U.S. with bishops who may be homosexual themselves or homosexualists who enable the ongoing problem.

Another aspect of the problem is that homosexuals also tend to be narcissistic. The homosexual priest loves being the center of attention. If he's a pastor, he's the Lord of his parish. He may use the money of his people to redecorate his rectory with lavish accoutrements. On the altar he stands in the spotlight. He enjoys the attention. He preaches sweetness and light or, in some cases, a watered down orthodoxy. But one thing is for sure. He will not preach the fullness of the truth about the Church's sexual morality. He cannot. And he is often the ringmaster at the liturgical circus.

Even if he is trying to live a faithful life, his disordered nature makes his situation untenable. If he is assigned with a priest to whom he is attracted, he lives in a constant occasion of sin and a serious state of tempation -- like a man living with his fiance before marriage. If his confessor tells him to get out of the situation, where can he go? If he is in the closet, how does he explain the situation to his bishop? No, homosexuals do not belong in the priesthood -- ever. Those who are already there should never be given a position of authority. It is simply too dangerous. We have seen the result in the chaotic situation in the Church today. Not to deal with it head on and vigorously is irresponsible.

As the pope said, the greatest attack on the Church comes from sin within.  Part of the sin, I believe, is the attack on good priests who dared to expose the pornographic horrors in the rectory closet and on the rectory computers. Part of the sin is continuing to downplay the seriousness of homosexuals in the priesthood as some bishops do. And part of the sin is the omission of preaching the fullness of the truth to the people in the pews.

Let us pray for persecuted priests and for our beloved Church. She is also a victim, the battered bride of Christ.

The Third World Dumping Ground for Pervert Priests: The Legacy of Archbishop Rembert Weakland

I blogged today at my Bishop Loverde, Where is Fr. James Haley blog about the revelation that Archbishop Rembert Weakland used a small African village as his dumping ground for homosexual pervert Fr. James Tully. Just as the secular first world considers the children of the poor fodder for their abortion machines, homosexual bishop Weakland apparently considered the children of the poor in Africa chickens for his homosexual chicken hawk confrere. The wickedness of this reeks to high heavens as the article I quoted shows. If well-to-do parents of the first world were vulnerable to manipulation by abusive bishops, how vulnerable are the parents in poverty-stricken villages of Africa? 

If you have the stomach for it, visit the blog and read the story. I won't blame you if you don't. 

Pray for the conversion of all those involved in this tragic situation and pray that the problem of homosexuality in the priesthood will be resolved. It hasn't gone away. The recent expose of the gay superculture in Miami illustrates it. Frankly, I'm not convinced that the so-called "safe touch" programs like VIRTUS that hide the homosexual nature of the problem can possibly solve it.  And I do have a question for Weakland's brother bishops: Why have we not heard one word from you about the disgraceful behavior of this man who spent his entire career as bishop of Milwaukee destroying the faith and enabling abuse? Your silence speaks volumes about the nature of the problem.

Psychiatrist Confirms Cardinal Bertone's Statement

Dr. Richard Fitzgibbons, a psychiatrist with extensive experience treating priest-abusers confirmed Cardinal Bertone's statement linking homosexuality with abuse. The cardinal's remarks have brough a tsunami of criticism from the politically correct mainstream media and the homosexual activist community.  A Catholic News Agency article covered Fitzgibbon's remarks. In part, the article reads:

A U.S. psychiatrist with experience in treating priests with pedophilia disagrees that there is no link between homosexuality and sexual abuse of children. “Cardinal Bertone's comments are supported completely by the John Jay study report and by clinical experience,” Dr. Richard Fitzgibbons told CNA. “In fact, every priest whom I treated who was involved with children sexually had previously been involved in adult homosexual relationships.”

Fitzgibbons, who has been the director of Comprehensive Counseling Center in West Conshohocken, Penn. since 1988, has worked extensively with individuals suffering from same sex attraction (SSA) and priests accused of pedophilia. He also presently serves as a consultant to the Congregation for the Clergy at the Holy See....

In his 2002 “Letter to Catholic Bishops,” Fitzgibbons identified priests prone to sexual abuse as having suffered “profound emotional pain” during childhood due to loneliness, problems in their relationships with their fathers, rejection by their peers, lack of male confidence, and poor self image or body image. Fitzgibbons said that these experiences lead priests especially to direct their sadness and anger towards the Church, her teachings on sexual morality, and the Magisterium.

He also noted that priests who have engaged in sexual misconduct with minors suffer from a “denial of sin in their lives.” “They consistently refused to examine their consciences, to accept the Church's teachings on moral issues as a guide for their personal actions, or regularly avail themselves of the sacrament of reconciliation. These priests either refused to seek spiritual direction or choose (sic) a spiritual director or confessor who openly rebelled against Church teachings on sexuality,” the letter said.   (Complete article here... )

Fitzgibbons also mentions the prevalence of narcissism in the West and its impact on priests. All anyone has to do to confirm that problem is spend a few minutes on Facebook where young people (and not so young people) post hundreds of photos of themselves often in provocative and immodest poses, not to mention posting updates on the minutiae of their lives.

The media attack on Cardinal Bertone is no surprise. It is part of the broader agenda to undermine the Church. It will continue until Jesus returns. The fact that so many members of the hierarchy have fueled the attack through their irresponsibility and, sometimes, downright evil actions, is no surprise either. Jesus had his Judas and there are plenty of Judases in the Church today.

Remember to keep praying for priests in this Year of the Priest, especially the priests wearing mitres and carrying the shepherd's crook.

Is the Homosexual Priest Problem Really Behind Us?

You would think homosexual priests would be cautious these days about abusing kids in view of the risks inherent since the massive exposure. But homosexuals tend to be risk takers who enjoy the thrill of danger. Perhaps that explains the recent case of Fr. Antonio Cortes. Homosexual men simply cannot be ordained to the priesthood. It is too great a danger - not only to the children and the men involved, but to Holy Mother Church. Consider the damage done by Archbishop Weakland who, even in retirement, is continuing to scandalize and damage the faith.

And who among his brother bishops will call him to account?

It is clear that the laity must rise up against these evils because apparently our shepherds will not.

May God have mercy on us.
