Young People "Get It" Archbishop Sample Says at Pontifical TLM Yesterday!

Wish we could have been there! Every time I go to the TLM, I see lots of young people!

Tom Brokaw Fights Back, Responds to Vester's "Ambush" in a Passionate E-mail

I've been chastised by readers for the post about Linda Vester's accusations against Tom Brokaw -- and rightly so. This is, of course, one more he said -- she said situation that can hardly be proven and doesn't involve anything illegal. Vester's own prudence is certainly questionable in her account of the situations she describes.

So here is Brokaw's response to Vester's accusations. These days a man immediately judged guilty if a woman accuses him.

On the other hand, we all know that many powerful figures (more men than women) have taken the liberty of their positions to step over the line in the workplace. The "casting couch" connotation exists because it's a reality. Of course, the reason it's a reality is women have used their beauty and charms to entice and ensnare. Sorry, girls, but it's true.

I emphasize, once again, the behavior we should all exhibit as serious Catholics, whether en or women.  Visit the Catholic Gentlemen website and here's one for you Catholic ladies

How Do You Process the Deliberate Legal Murder of a Toddler?

Is Baby Alfie smiling at Jesus?
Alfie Evans is dead -- murdered very systematically by a tyrannical health service backed up by a liberal, gay friendly judge. It's no real surprise, is it? We're accustomed to the headlines. We followed the story of Charlie Gard

As a mother and grandmother I have a hard time wrapping my mind around this kind of evil where doctors and judges can snatch the authority over children from good parents who love and care for their little ones and deliberately conspire to kill them. Why?

They're Falling Like Dominoes: Is Tom Brokaw the Next Harvey Weinstein?

Linda Vester, NBC correspondent, describes her harassment by Tom Brokaw.

Brokaw denies it, but Linda Vester is no Stormy Daniels.

She is a respected foreign correspondent who covered the news from war zones for NBC. It will be hard to treat her story as a "bimbo eruption."

Vester left television in 2000 to focus on family. She has four children and three step children.

This latest story leads me to ask why some men act like such boars (in heat). I think of the medieval ideal of treating women with respect. The Man of La Mancha reflected that ideal, even addressing the self-proclaimed "slut" Aldonza as "now and forever my lady, Dulcinea." And gradually, she became what he imaged to her.

I Have No Doubt That Vox Speaks for Many Watching the Abomination Taking Place in Liverpool

Alfie Evans and the Damnation of England

Alfie's Case Shines the Light on the Cultural Shift from Medicine's Standard of "First Do No Harm" to a New Standard

And the new standard is don't waste money treating those the medical establishment considers defective. Just say they're "dying" (aren't we all?) and deny them ordinary care, i.e., food and water. We all die very quickly without hydration and nutrition!

Maybe if Alfie's parents were same sex
he would have been more sympathetic. Ya think?
What we're seeing in Alfie's case is a quality of life evaluation that Judge Hayden put very succinctly when he basically swept aside Alfie's humanity saying, "The brain cannot regenerate itself and there is virtually nothing of his brain left." [Oh...and by the way, Hayden is a pro-gay activist. He also condemned to starvation a woman with minimal consciousness. One is tempted to ask if he would like someone to judge his life as he's judged others.]

For a judge to make himself a medical expert in a case he is deciding is seriously problematic.

Tom Evans Tells Supporters to Stand Down: Did Alder Hey refuse to discuss a home plan until he gave this press conference?

Tom Evans' statement sounds like it was written by the hospital.

Is the family now under a gag order with the threat that Alfie will NEVER go home unless they agree to shut up and adopt the "end of life plan?" This announcement comes almost immediately after he discussed how badly they've been treated by the staff at Alder Hey. What a flip!

As the shroud of silence descends, it makes me think of Holy Thursday. "Judas went out; and it was night."

Please keep praying for Tom and Kate and baby Alfie. And pray for the people of the U.K. who live under this kind of medical tyranny. Alfie won't be its last victim!

No Man is an Island: We Need Community!

Our first community is Mom
and Dad and siblings.
I went to lunch yesterday with five friends -- real friends -- not the faux Facebook kind. Fortunately the restaurant wasn't busy so we weren't keeping our waiter from serving others because we shared and laughed and lamented for almost four hours.

We talked about our children and grandchildren, the tragedy taking place at Alder Hey Hospital with the deliberate move to euthanize baby Alfie Evans, about the insanity of gender fluidity and the failure of the Catholic parishes in Bob Marshall's district to support him in his race against transgender narcissist Dan(ica) Roem.

We talked about the books we're reading and how beautiful the bluebells are at Bull Run Park. We laughed a lot and cried a little.

When I left, I felt like I'd visited the fountain of youth. That's what a supportive community of believing Catholics does for the spirit. Hopefully, we'll get together in June for a rosary lunch.

Alfie Fights On: Parents Just Want to Take Him Home

Latest: Alfie Evans' dad reveals how toddler's brave mum is 'keeping him alive with cuddles' as they bid to take him home

A few observations:
  • They keep describing Alfie as "terminal" when they don't even have a diagnosis. We've known people with "degenerative brain conditions" who've lived for years. So what do they mean by "terminal?" Aren't we all "terminal?" Does anyone get out of this life alive?

Why is Alder Hey so Intent on Killing Alfie? Two Motives Suggested...

...and let's face it, it's always about power and/or money!

Robert Moynihan from Inside the Vatican suggest the following from a contact:
