Fr. Pfleger Will Leave the Church Rather than Obey His Bishop....Let him go, Cardinal George

Controversial pro-Obama priest would leave Church rather than take position at high school

Well, it's official. After all, he said it on the radio:

"I want to try to stay in the Catholic Church,” Pfleger told [radio] show hosts Smiley and West. “If they say ‘You either take this principalship of [Leo High School] or pastorship there or leave,’ then I’ll have to look outside the church.”

Take that, Cardinal George! Fr. Pfleger, who placed his hands in yours on ordination day and promised obedience, just won't go. He'll leave Holy Mother Church rather than obey.

It won't be the first time a prodigal runs away from home. And this prodigal has been doing that for years, running away from the faith and taking his people with him. He's a prodigal right in the comfort of his own parish, which he's turned into a three ring circus. And his protestations against doctrine have resulted in little, if any, actions taken to correct his dissent (a polite word for heresy).

Pray that the cardinal holds his ground and that Pfleger means what he says. Can you imagine this man as a principal overseeing the Catholic education of youngsters, or any other education for that matter? One hopes the cardinal hasn't taken leave of his senses, but expects this rebel in a roman collar to do exactly what he says -- leave -- just like Judas. On the other hand, it was Lucifer who said, "I will not serve."

Pray for Fr. Pfleger. And if you aren't familiar with his clownish antics here's a sample. I look forward to the day we can say, "Good-bye and good riddance to your heresy. Come back when you 'come to your senses.'"

Where Are Equal Rights for Christians? "Gays" are more equal than others!

Chicago police did nothing to protect the rights of Catholics when "gay" hate-mongers trespassed at Holy Name Cathedral Feb. 14th to chant and threaten church-goers who were called "bigots." Who are the real bigots? Those who harrass and intimidate others to accept the lie that "gays" deserve special rights. A depraved sexual lifestyle, whether it's same-sex sodomy, promiscuity, adultery, fornication, self-abuse, bestiality, polygamy, polyamory, pornography, etc. is not a civil right. And most of those engaging in sexual immorality don't demand it. To treat the "gay" issue as a "civil right" comparable to discrimination against blacks is an insult to the memory of Martin Luther King and all those who struggled and even died for equal rights. The founders never intended to provide constitutional protection to lust. Same sex attraction has no more right to special privileges than sado-masochism and other perversions. Whose to say the man who likes his women whipped and tied to the bed wasn't "born that way as well?"

As for the police being instructed to allow this to go on, it was a shameful betrayal and discrimination against Catholics. Imagine for a moment that these bigots were KKK members at a black church or skinheads on the property of  a synagogue, or pro-lifers outside Planned Parenthood. Do you doubt that arrests wouldn't quickly follow? Is there any possibility that the law would have been suspended? Unthinkable!

But Chicago has always been the city of corruption and now it's Rahm Emmanuel's town. Catholics can expect the dead fish treatment. After all, we're just "mackeral snappers" who deserve whatever we get. Prepare for more of this. Verbal harrassment now; clubs and steel bars in the future. As Fr. John Hardon often said, "Raise your children to be martyrs." But follow the example of the calm Catholics outside the cathedral and pray for the poor deluded men and women who are slaves to their lust. Satan is never satisfied with sin and sinners being tolerated, he demands that evil be declared good and good be declared evil, hence the attack on the Church.

It's no surprise; in fact it was foretold. "In the last days, mocking, sneering men who are ruled by their passions will arrive on the scene....You are forewarned, beloved brothers. Be on your guard lest you be led astray."  (2 Peter 3: 3, 17) But there's a warning to the "protesters" as well. "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil." (Isaiah 5:20) In the end, no one will avoid the reckoning.

Pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for the grace of final perseverance for yourself and for those in proximate danger of hell.

Who's in Charge in Chicago? Sure Doesn't Look Like Cardinal George after the CCHD Debacle!

The situation in Chicago with regard to the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) is beyond shameful!

Orthodox Catholics saw signs of hope that at the local level where the annual collection began, CCHD would see real reform. But the liberals in roman collars (Do they wear roman collars?) apparently ruled the day. They pulled the rug out from under the reform and got the cardinal to renege on grants to pro-life groups, authentic charities as compared to grants that pay salaries to community organizers so they can work to elect politicians like Barack Obama. In Chicago it's back to business as usual.

Read the story here about how liberal clergy, led by Fr. Larry Dowling, deep-sixed the reform being implemented by local CCHD head, Rey Flores. Which leads me to ask: Who exactly is in charge in Chicago? Seems like Chicago style politics have taken over the chancery. Did Dowling give Cardinal George his marching orders and then send Rey a dead fish?

If this doesn't convince Catholics to boycott the CCHD, they aren't paying attention!

When Will Fr. Pfleger Be Disciplined, Cardinal George?

Fr. Pfleger Advertises he's a Liar and a Hypocrite. Surprised?

Fr. Pfleger, the Chicago torchthrowing priest has admitted on Facebook that he's a liar and a hypocrite. When will the Archdiocese of Chicago do something about this renegade who regularly defies the Church and agitates against doctrine? His admission that he's a liar casts into doubt his statement that when he urged a crowd to "snuff out" a legitimate business owner who sells guns, that he didn't know the term meant to kill him. Yeah, right. But he's non-violent. He also mentioned "dragging" the guy out of his establishment like a rat. But we can expect he wanted the folks he was inciting to snuff the guy out with hugs and kisses.

Cardinal George, when will you remove this embarrassment to the Church? He hates you and all the Church leadership and holds you in abject contempt. And yet you honored him. Can you please explain? Read about this latest fiasco here and be sure to check out the other articles linked at the bottom.

Oh, and if you have a minute send an email to the Archdiocese to complain. Fr. Pfleger is anointed by God to bring people to Christ, but his behavior is narcissistic and evil, leading people to hold the Church in contempt. He acts like a clown, but is actually the ringmaster turning the Archdiocese of Chicago into an X-rated circus with Cardinal George in  the role of the trained monkey. Wake up, Your Eminence. This man hates the Church. Why do you enable him?

Meanwhile, my friend and brother in Christ, Fr. James Haley,  remains in limbo - thrown out of the priesthood for daring to tell Bishop Loverde about homosexual priests in the Diocese of Arlington - priests with extensive porn collections, some of whom were embezzling from their parishes. Which leads me to ask: What's in Fr. Pfleger's closet and on his computer?

Please, Cardinal George, You Can't be Serious

Sometimes I wonder if some of our Cardinals and Bishops live in the same country...or even on the same planet. I could hear the Twilight Zone music playing as I read Cardinal George's statement on behalf of the U.S. bishops congratulating President Obama on his baffling award of the Nobel peace prize. The statement was gracious, to be sure, but can the cardinal possibly believe what he said? I've copied the Catholic News Agency article below with my comments.

Washington D.C., Oct 13, 2009 / 12:39 pm (CNA).- Speaking on behalf of the U.S. bishops, Cardinal Francis George offered his congratulations to President Obama after he received the Nobel Peace Prize. The Chicago cardinal noted that though more work needs to be done, the U.S. president has already contributed to peace nationally and internationally. [Specifics please. Many commentators believe Obama is contributing to a destabalization of foreign relations. Are we safer because Obama is president? Exactly how, Your Eminence?]

Cardinal George, who is the president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops as well as Archbishop of Chicago, released a statement yesterday expressing his “congratulations to President Barack Obama” on his receiving the Nobel Peace Prize.

The cardinal acknowledged the comments of many critics who have noted that though he has discussed peace, the president has yet to yield results. [Exactly! But he has plenty of results expanding the war against the unborn and the weak and vulnerable.]“As he has graciously said, much of the work of realizing a more peaceful and just world for all persons and nations remains to be done; but the prize was given because as President of the United States he has already changed the international conversation,” the cardinal remarked. [Again...Your Eminence, what are you talking about? Has he increased respect for the weak and helpless?]

Fox News reported last week that the award committee chose the president due to his work to reduce nuclear weapons, his commitment to easing tensions with the Middle East and his dedication to cooperation. [President Obama has the same foreign policy as Rodney King. "Let's all just get along." The only way to get along with him, however, is to adopt his agenda. The division on the floor of Congress where we have never seen so much acrimony reflects the level of cooperation throughout the country. Nada!]
The chairman of the Norwegian award committee charged with selecting the peace prize recipient, Thorbjoern Jagland, said that although the president’s initiatives have yet to bear fruit, “Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world's attention and given its people hope for a better future.” [There is no hope and no future for the unborn who are targeted for annhilation as never before. And the expansion of the death culture to the elderly is clearly on the agenda with rationing and denial of care.]

Cardinal George added that Obama has already contributed to peace in the United States as the “remarkable and historic achievement of his election” has already “changed the relationships between men and women of all races.” [Like the relationship between Professor Gates and Officer Crowley? Anyone who disagrees with the administration's policies is accused of racism. Does that bring people together?]
“The rich diversity of United States society is now more surely anchored in a national unity that is better able to foster the peace we all are challenged to pursue,” the cardinal said, concluding his statement by asking for God's blessing on “the President and his family.” [This is just baffling. What national unity? The Cardinal needs to get out more. The national tea parties do not show national unity, they show an American electorate deeply divided by Obama's massive socialistic takeover. The Cardinal's statement on behalf of the bishops is doublespeak. Obama is moving us inexoribly toward the nuclear war Mother Teresa predicted as the fruit of abortion. For the Cardinal to play diplomatic pattycake with the president is beneath him and shows abandonment of his role as teacher. It particularly shows abandonment once more of the helpless babies in the womb. They deserve better, Your Eminence.]

Statement of Cardinal George, President of United States Conference of Catholic Bishops on FOCA

“If the Lord does not build the house, in vain do its builders labor; if the Lord does not watch over the city, in vain does the watchman keep vigil.” (Psalm 127, vs. 1)

The Bishops of the Catholic Church in the United States welcome this moment of historic transition and look forward to working with President-elect Obama and the members of the new Congress for the common good of all. Because of the Church’s history and the scope of her ministries in this country, we want to continue our work for economic justice and opportunity for all; our efforts to reform laws around immigration and the situation of the undocumented; our provision of better education and adequate health care for all, especially for women and children; our desire to safeguard religious freedom and foster peace at home and abroad. The Church is intent on doing good and will continue to cooperate gladly with the government and all others working for these goods.

The fundamental good is life itself, a gift from God and our parents. A good state protects the lives of all. Legal protection for those members of the human family waiting to be born in this country was removed when the Supreme Court decided Roe vs. Wade in 1973. This was bad law. The danger the Bishops see at this moment is that a bad court decision will be enshrined in bad legislation that is more radical than the 1973 Supreme Court decision itself.

In the last Congress, a Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) was introduced that would, if brought forward in the same form today, outlaw any “interference” in providing abortion at will. It would deprive the American people in all fifty states of the freedom they now have to enact modest restraints and regulations on the abortion industry. FOCA would coerce all Americans into subsidizing and promoting abortion with their tax dollars. It would counteract any and all sincere efforts by government and others of good will to reduce the number of abortions in our country.

Parental notification and informed consent precautions would be outlawed, as would be laws banning procedures such as partial-birth abortion and protecting infants born alive after a failed abortion. Abortion clinics would be deregulated. The Hyde Amendment restricting the federal funding of abortions would be abrogated. FOCA would have lethal consequences for prenatal human life.

FOCA would have an equally destructive effect on the freedom of conscience of doctors, nurses and health care workers whose personal convictions do not permit them to cooperate in the private killing of unborn children. It would threaten Catholic health care institutions and Catholic Charities. It would be an evil law that would further divide our country, and the Church should be intent on opposing evil.

On this issue, the legal protection of the unborn, the bishops are of one mind with Catholics and others of good will. They are also pastors who have listened to women whose lives have been diminished because they believed they had no choice but to abort a baby. Abortion is a medical procedure that kills, and the psychological and spiritual consequences are written in the sorrow and depression of many women and men. The bishops are single-minded because they are, first of all, single-hearted.

The recent election was principally decided out of concern for the economy, for the loss of jobs and homes and financial security for families, here and around the world. If the election is misinterpreted ideologically as a referendum on abortion, the unity desired by President-elect Obama and all Americans at this moment of crisis will be impossible to achieve. Abortion kills not only unborn children; it destroys constitutional order and the common good, which is assured only when the life of every human being is legally protected. Aggressively pro-abortion policies, legislation and executive orders will permanently alienate tens of millions of Americans, and would be seen by many as an attack on the free exercise of their religion.

This statement is written at the request and direction of all the Bishops, who also want to thank all those in politics who work with good will to protect the lives of the most vulnerable among us. Those in public life do so, sometimes, at the cost of great sacrifice to themselves and their families; and we are grateful. We express again our great desire to work with all those who cherish the common good of our nation. The common good is not the sum total of individual desires and interests; it is achieved in the working out of a common life based upon good reason and good will for all.

Our prayers accompany President-elect Obama and his family and those who are cooperating with him to assure a smooth transition in government. Many issues demand immediate attention on the part of our elected “watchman.” (Psalm 127) May God bless him and our country.
