Is Pope Leo Francis II? The Papal Posse Addresses Tough Questions!

The Prayerful Posse offers a clear response to the confusion in the Church. I always find their discussions well reasoned, calm, and charitable. What a blessing in today's hysterical world! If you want out of the weeds of confusion, they can help.

Who Is Pope Leo? Where Does He Stand on Grave Issues of the Faith?

Who Is Pope Leo?
I wrote yesterday that I would share a timeline today about my concerns with Pope Leo's actions since occupying the chair of Peter on May 8th. This list is hardly exhaustive. I could have written much more: about the danger of ecumenism and syncretism under Leo, the LGBTQ pilgrimage and soft-peddling of Church teaching on sexuality, welcoming heterodox spokesmen, calling the migration invasion a "sacrament of hope," playing footsie with Communist China, etc. Consider this list as the tip of the iceberg. I suspect there will be more to come.

Some Good Signs about the New Pope. Let Us Not Leap to Negative Judgment!

This episode from the series about the conclave and the new pope is well worth watching. Robert Royal feels some optimism about the election of Cardinal Robert Prevost because of his selection of the name, etc. "You can be in continuity with a previous pope and yet at the same time practice a sort of innovation," he said. That Pope Leo came out on the loggia wearing the traditional vestments (unlike Francis) was a big difference.

The Way the Vatican is Dealing with Those who Love the TLM is "Not the Style of God!"

The papal posse and Dr. Peter Kwasniewski boldly address what the pope and Cardinal Roche are doing to those faithful who attend the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM). Fr. Gerald Murray, a canon lawyer, calls it "a basic violation of Church order" to throw Catholics out of the churches. "There is no reason why any parishioner should be thrown out of his parish church. Absolutely none!...It's a persecution of Latin Mass Catholics plain and simple and it can't be justified....This is damaging the Church." Watch this episode. The first twenty minutes deal with the latest papal document restricting the TLM.

Nabi Sayeth: Humble People Listen to God's Messengers

Nabi Sayeth: In troubled times, times of confusion, God sends His messengers to us called “Nabi” or “Prophet”. Prophets were hard-linked conservatives who in Old Testament Times were sent by God, first to the king and then to the people to call them out for having turned away from God’s way and to call them to obedience to His will.

As you might imagine, human egos got in the way. The kings enjoyed their power and deluded themselves into thinking they were in control. To prop up the kings, there were employed in the royal court priests and prophets who sang the kings praises and told him only what he wanted to hear but never what he NEEDED to hear. To break up this monopoly on the king’s attention, God called His prophets to speak His words of judgment to them

Sunday Meditation: Holy Week Begins....On Betrayal and the Church in China

Our Lady of China, pray for the
persecuted underground Church.
Holy Week begins. The betrayal is imminent, a betrayal that continues throughout history like the expanding ripples in a lake. Judas isn't far from us. He lives in our hearts and we can see him in the larger events occurring around us as I realized once again this morning with sorrow.

I was reading a LifeSiteNews article reprinted in The Wanderer about Cardinal Zen and his dismay over the Vatican betraying China's underground Church and recognizing the unfaithful bishops excommunicated by previous popes.

What a head-shaker!

The suffering Church in China must be feeling the same betrayal as Catholics in England watching their bishops bend the knee to a lustful monarch who began the systematic dismantling of the Church. Except for St. John Fisher, I'm not aware of a single courageous English bishop who defended the faith.

Fr. Spadaro and the Long Knives for Raymond Arroyo!

My colleague at Restore D.C. Catholicism has a great post on Fr. Spadaro's attack on Raymond Arroyo.

Father Spadaro Points Long Knives At Raymond Arroyo - Call Him Out On It

Spadaro retweeted a silly Twitter post calling for EWTN to be put under interdict unless they fire Arroyo for daring to criticize some of the appalling swill being brewed at the Vatican. Really...the vindictiveness of these clerics staggers the imagination. They strain at the gnat of orthodoxy and swallow whole the camel of heresy. I posted on Spadaro awhile ago pointing out how disingenuous he is. That seems to be a common quality of FOF (Friends of Francis).
