What a week! I still can't wrap my mind around the evil attacks in Paris. So I'll focus on our own insanity here.

On campus students are repeating the antics of the 60s. No, they aren't holding sit-ins at the administration buildings. They're using hunger strikes and manufactured injuries to get people fired and turn campuses into bastions of political correctness rather than institutions for rational discussion. I'm not sure these privileged lefties have a rational cell in their collective brain. (Yes, I know I didn't put an s on brain. There's only one -- the brain of the collective, the puppet master of the left.)

Rodeo Clown Gets the Brass Knuckles from Liberal Leftwing Hypocrites!

Unless you're comatose, you heard about the rodeo clown wearing the Obama mask and asking the crowd if they wanted Obama run down by a bull. The clown was accused of disrespect, racism, yadda, yadda. He was banned from the Missouri State Fair and the leftwing media has been ballistic for several days about what at worst can be called a bad joke.

What's interesting is that the leftwing media stifles yawns when their cronies on the left engage in assassination street theatre. Check out a few photos collected by Michele Malkin. Did you ever see these? If the tea parties had carried signs like this about Obama they would have been all over the press for weeks, but these are from the kind, tolerant, compassionate, loving left. You know, the ones always calling for civility.

Despite the fact that the mob needs fresh meat in the arena since they've finished with Paula Deen, not everyone is getting on the destroy-the-clown bandwagon. One Texas Congressman, Steve Stockman, says the clown can come perform in Texas anytime. Here's what he said according to an NBC report, "Liberals want to bronco bust dissent. But Texans value speech, even if it’s speech they don't agree with… [Liberals] want to crush dissent by isolating and polarizing anyone who questions Obama, even if it's a rodeo clown with a harmless gag.... If you're demanding a rodeo jester be thrown in the dungeons for mocking the king, don't pretend you support a free country.”


You got it, Congressman. Don't mess with King Obama or you can expect to be fired from your job, investigated by the IRS, snooped on by the Defense Intelligence Agency and the FBI, etc. As for freedom of speech, the leftwing media considers any speech that criticizes Obama, even by insinuation, racist hate speech that will be met by the Queen of Hearts' favorite dictum, "Off with his head!" (It couldn't possibly be his liberalism to which people object. Nah!)

Of course, the liberal elite are the real racists who consider black babies abortion mill fodder and adult minorities (both black and Hispanic) voting slaves working for their Democrat overseers.

Free Speech: It's Dead in Maryland!

Not long ago, conservative blogger Aaron Walker  was arrested in Maryland during a court proceeding for violating a "peace order" protecting public figure and Democratic operative, Brett Kimberlin, who is a convicted terrorist (1978 Speedway bombings) and perjurer. What did Walker do? He blogged about Kimberlin. Although he didn't contact him and didn't ask others to contact him, he was accused of "inciting" others to contact him. (If you are feeling like you are reading a Kafka novel, I'm not surprised.)

This is free speech?

Kimberlin is using the courts to harass and intimidate the opposition. The strategy?  Accuse them of "inciting" others and bog them down in legal actions.  (Is he also using the police by SWATing his political opponents?) Check out this outrageous story here and here and here.

In response to Kimberlin's strategy of intimidation, I'm helping to "flood the zone" by blogging about Kimberlin and his absolute disregard for human rights and the rule of law. His front agenda (helping youth through music) has been funded by George Soros' Tides Foundation and by liberals like Teresa Heinz Kerry and Barbra Streisand. It would be interesting to see where all that money is really going.

Hollywood Light Crew Working for Jimmy Kimmel Uses High Intensity Spotlights to Burn Teen

On June 25th officers from the LAPD ignored the assault by a light crew working for comedian Jimmy Kimmel, who turned high intensity spotlights on a young protestor. Ryan Bueler, a member of the survivors (those born after Roe v. Wade), was participating in the annual Survivors' Boot Camp which was carrying out a Face the Truth type demonstration on a busy street near Kimmel's studio. Kimmel's crew set up to film a stunt taking place later, but apparently got upset with the young demonstrator who refused to move and turned the lights on him from a distance of several feet. The heat from the spotlight partially melted his sign and a plastic bracelet he was wearing. When an adult participant, Jeff White, attempted to turn the lights away from the teenager, he was attacked and his shirt ripped. LAPD responding to the event arrested White but refused to take any action against the camera crew or the man who ripped White's clothing. After police viewed the video they dropped charges against White but still refused to bring any against the cameral crew.

Well, what else is new? I've seen videos showing the LAPD using nunchucks against peaceful rescuers, even breaking their bones. Christians protesting abortion are fair game these days for the modern day Roman tyrants and their legions.

After all, he's got the mainstream media in his pocket and the only thing that prevents him from having total control is conservative radio, FOX, and the alternative media.

Feldblum Appointment Underscores Threat of Homosexual Agenda to Liberty  by Alan Sears

You hear it, in one form or another, every day. For all the fervent debates and spirited arguments and plain old yelling matches we are wont to get into on everything from politics to sports to religion, something deep in the soul of most Americans still holds to our quintessential conviction that “everyone’s entitled to his opinion.”

In our democratic republic, that’s about as democratic as it gets.

Which is why it’s so surprising, sometimes, to learn that not everyone believes this…and why it’s so dangerous when someone who doesn’t moves into a position of powerful government authority.

Consider, for instance, the case of Chai Feldblum, one of a number of President Obama’s recess appointments over the weekend. The President nominated her in September 2009 for a post on the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which governs workplace issues across the country. Ms. Feldblum is on record as stating that “private beliefs” that do not affirm homosexual behavior should not be tolerated in American society.

Not public speech, mind you. Not overt, out-front demonstrations or protests or letters to the editor or call-ins to local radio shows. But “private beliefs” should not be tolerated.

In other words, people who don’t have “private beliefs” like Ms. Feldblum does about homosexual behavior should, under the right circumstances, be prosecuted to the limits of the law.

Gagging Pro-Lifers: Child Killers Deny Women Any Choice but Abortion!

Choice, choice, choice -- it's the mantra of the child-killing industry. But it's a lie. They want to shut down choice for women considering alternatives to killing their children. "You have no choice," they tell her as they walk her into the abortuary, dress her in a surgical gown, and position her feet in the stirrups. "You have your education, your future, yourself to think about....Don't look at the picture on the sonogram; it's just a blob of tissue....You have no choice."

These "compassionate" killers lie to the woman from the minute they answer the phone to make the appointment to murder her baby. Do they offer alternatives? No! Former abortionists and clinic workers tell of how they use marketing techniques to prey on her fears and pressure her to choose abortion. It's one of the most lucrative industries in the U.S. They sell the abortion, get taxpayer dollars to support it, and some even sell the babies' body parts. "You have no choice!" they tell the woman and work to make that grim prophecy true. Bubble zone legislation has been introduced all over the country, but in Chicago an ordinance was introduced recently that is so draconian even the ACLU is fighting portions of the law. The ordinance restricts pro-lifers from walking within 50 feet of an abortuary entrance and within eight feet of a woman entering it to kill her child.

This clear violation of free speech means that someone could approach a woman and ask for the time, but if the person is pro-life, he can be arrested and fined up to $500.00 for violating the no-free-speech zone. And what if the woman approaches the pro-life counselor? Must she keep backing up to maintain the 8-foot bubble?

David Bereit of 40 Days for Life sent out a message to supporters saying,

The law is such a clear violation of First Amendment Constitutional rights that even the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) -- no friend of the pro-life movement -- sided with local pro-life interests in opposing aspects of the ordinance.

According to observers at the council meetings, a Planned Parenthood representative testified that pro-life vigils make it difficult for women to reach their "services," while a representative from a local late-term abortion facility (that has seen business detrimentally affected by 40 Days for Life) directly
mentioned the 40 Days for Life prayer vigil as reason to pass the ordinance.

This ordinance is all about protecting the child-killing industry which rakes in millions every year, some of which is funnelled to liberal politicians to influence their "pro-choice" votes. Kathleen Sebelius' cozy relationship with notorious late-term abortionist George Tiller included a fund-raiser at the governor's mansion where she was photographed with Tiller and his staff.

Take action against the Chicago no-choice ordinance. Here's how according to Bereit:

PLEASE call Mayor Daley's office immediately at 312-744-3300 to say: "Mayor Daley, please don't restrict freedom of speech in Chicago. VETO the Bubble Zone ordinance!"

So many calls have already been flooding into the mayor's office that they've set up an automated system for the public to speak out on the Bubble Zone. If you get the automated system, here are the steps to follow:

1.) CALL Mayor Daley's office at 312-744-3300

2.) PRESS 1 to submit your opinion on the Bubble Zone ordinance

3.) Then PRESS 2 to vote NO on the Bubble Zone

If we don't push back hard against this clearly unconstitutional law, Planned Parenthood and the rest of the abortion industry will feel empowered to
trample on the rights of pro-life free speech all across the country.

Good-bye to the First Amendment

The first amendment to the Consitution is supposed to protect free speech rights, even the right to display what others find offensive. I personally would not carry a sign with a picture like that although I understand the feelings of those who do. (Where's the compassion for the disenfranchised?) The gentleman could have refused the officer's unjust order and allowed himself to be arrested. It is only by challenging the unconstitutional activities of these people that we can protect our rights. Under Obama they are fast being destroyed. No doubt carrying a picture like that will soon be labeled a hate crime. Funny, you never heard anything about the nastiness of those who displayed pictures of Bush as Hitler. There is a double standard that threatens only one side of the debate.

If you are a conservative (Bush was no conservative; he was hated for being a Republican.), you are presumed guilty of intolerance and hate; if you're a liberal you are compassionate and tolerant no matter how viscious your attacks. Remember Sarah Palin. Heck, remember poor Bristol Palin. Heck, remember the poor folks going to town hall meetings!

Hate is not a family value unless you happen to be in the liberal family tent that houses abortionists, pornographers, sodomites, champions of same-sex marriage, playboys and their bunnies, the Hollywood elite, PETA people who think animals have more rights than people, Rahm Emanuel and his dead fish, and every other nutcase on the planet. When they depict people they don't like as Hitler, they're just telling the truth.

Dems Upset about Americans Daring to Criticize them at Local Town Hall Meetings

It is always so entertaining to listen to the rhetoric of the liberal left. They are upset at the fact that patriotic Americans have the unmitigated gall to actually challenge their enlightened plans for the hoi polloi (that's us). So they are crying about "mob rule" and calling the challenges at town halls orchestrated events. (If they are it just illustrates that conservatives are finally imitating the tactics of ACORN, gay activists, left-wing anti-everything protesters, etc. only without the violence and the total shutdown of free speech.) Check out Michelle Malkin's video example of mob rule! And the left dares to call citizens questioning the health plan quislings "mob rule?" Get real.

Here's the first one to whet your appetite showing lefties storming a Minuteman meeting at Columbia University. This type of treatment is typical on campuses when pro-lifers speak. Hey, I've been at meetings like that. Free speech? Anyone? Anyone?

Portraying the "hate crimes" bill as defending gays against discrimination is a lie. Leftists lynch the truth using any crime that involves a gay to claim a hate motivation. But when a gay murders a Christian, like Mary Stachowicz, the media ignores it and gay activists say "she deserved it." THIS IS NOT A CIVIL RIGHTS BILL. IT IS A SPECIAL RIGHTS BILL. It will deny free speech to Christians and others who object to homosexual immorality. "Gays" already are treated with special protection. When they engage in public nudity and mutual masturbation during "pride" events, police look the other way. This bill will increase hatred all right, hatred against Christians like Mary Stachowicz who cared enough to speak the truth in love. She was murdered for it. The video below has some offensive footage from "gay pride" events. It is definitely not for children, but it is information to wake up adults who think that gays' perverted relationships are equivalent to traditional marriage. They are not!

They're slick, they're con artists, and they'll do anything to pass their extreme agenda!

If you read a history of the founding fathers, you find that most suffered for their ideals. Many ended up destitute and had to start over after the Revolutionary War. Their homes were burned, their belongings confiscated, nine even lost their lives. After his presidency, Thomas Jefferson was deeply in debt. In those days "public service" truly was service. Today, most of those who "serve" in public office leave office rich as Croesus and end up in lucrative jobs using their "connections" to further enrich themselves. To put it bluntly, many politicians prostitute themselves both in and out of office. Integrity and politics are too often strangers.

So is it any wonder to find politicians using sneaky stealth tactics to impose their extremist agendas on the American people? The Democrats are adept at disguising their actions and adding controversial issues to unrelated legislation as amendments, often to appropriation bills that legislators want to pass. Both sides do it, but the Dems have turned it into an art, like those three dimensional stereogram pictures hiding within another picture.

One stealth issue coming up this week is the work of Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vermont). He plans to add the "Hate Crimes" bill (S. 909: The Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act described by opponents as the Pedophile Protection Act) as an amendment to the Department of Defense Authorization Bill. The Amendment is not really about protecting people from crime (hate or otherwise) - laws already exist for that. This is all about giving special rights to homosexuals, lesbians, bi-sexuals and transgendered folks. (Did I miss anybody?) So if your granny gets mugged on the street it's not a hate crime, but if Joe Blow is dressed in an evening gown and stiletto heels and gets mugged he gets special treatment as the victim of a "hate crime."

But it's about more than that. Hate crimes are designed to stifle criticism of the immoral gay lifestyle. In Canada where hate crime legislation has been on the books for some time, church ministers have been prosecuted for quoting Bible passages condemning sodomy. Magazine and newspaper editors are fined for allowing ads critical of homosexual behavior. Bishop Fred Henry of Calgary and Basilian priest, Fr. Alphonse de Valk, were both brought before the Human Rights Commission for defending Church teaching on traditional marriage against the same-sex marriage onslaught. In another Canadian case, Bill Whatcott, was banned for life by a Saskatchewan court from ever publicly criticizing homosexuality. This is the ultimate goal of hate crime legislation - to muzzle free speech against homosexual immorality. Those who engage in sodomy and anal sex are above criticism in the world of "hate crimes."

If Christians don't fight this amendment, we'll have no one to blame but ourselves when we are targeted with the same persecution as our northern neighbors. And, in fact, the persecution has already begun. In 2008 a New Mexico Christian photographer, Elaine Huguenin who refused to photograph the "commitment ceremony" of two lesbians, was prosecuted by the New Mexico Human Rights Division. They said her action defied state antidiscrimination laws for sexual orientation discrimination. She is being defended by the Alliance Defense Fund whose spokesman says they will take the case all the way to the Supreme Court if necessary. Somehow, with confirmation hearings going on that will probably seat activist judge Sonia Sotomayor on the high court, I'm not particularly comforted by that thought. Once the court is packed with judicial activists committed to furthering the liberal agenda, there will be little hope for constitutional rights. When free speech is murdered who will resurrect it?

Is Free Speech Dead in South Bend?

I just spoke by phone with a friend, Sonny Torres, who went to Notre Dame this weekend with his wife Karen to protest the university giving Obama an honorary degree and a platform for promoting his policies which include murdering unborn children. Neither of my friends had any intention of getting arrested, but the Lord apparently had other plans.

After six hours of joining in the protests off campus, Karen and Sonny left to begin their long ride back to Virginia. But they got turned around and pulled into the parking lot of a credit union bordering the university campus to get their bearings. As they did, they noticed a group of police cars gathering and officers putting up barricades which appeared to mark the route of the Obama motorcade. So Karen and Sonny got out and Karen pulled out her sign, a half posterboard sheet, that read, "Shame on Notre Dame!"

A few minutes later a police officer came over and told them they'd have to move back 50 feet from the road which they did even though several others were standing closer. As they walked back with the officer, they objected to being singled out and asked why those walking on the sidewalk weren't being moved back. The officer spoke into his phone and a minute later they were surrounded by cops and Karen was summarily arrested, handcuffed, hauled off, and charged with criminal trespass.

In the meantime Sonny, still in the credit union parking lot, watched as a growing crowd gathered along the route, one person carrying a sign that read, "We're proud of Notre Dame" and another with a sign praising Notre Dame president, Fr. Jenkins. Sonny went over to the officer who spoke to them originally and asked why Karen was arrested and these people weren't. The officer claimed Karen "was belligerant" (if you dare to ask a question, you're "belligerant") and then threatened Sonny with arrest as well.

Sonny stayed in the parking lot another fifteen minutes or so and watched the officer sit in his car twenty feet from a group of about 80 people not 50 feet from the street, not ten feet, but actually sitting and standing on the curb practically in the street itself. Apparently none of those who came to worship at the feet of the abortion president was trespassing even though they gathered in the same place, even closer to the street, on ground forbidden to my friends because of Karen's sign, an unwelcome form of speech.

After talking to Sonny, I called the jail and spoke to Deputy Vawastowski (Is she a polish Catholic?) who told me Karen was charged with criminal trespass and her bail was set at $250. She could not give me the statute under which Karen had been charged and said she had no other information, but it would be on the arresting officer's charge sheet.

Now, let's recap this and make everything perfectly clear. Approximately 100 people ended up milling around in the same area as my friends, some much closer to the street within the forbidden 50 foot zone. But the only individual singled out for arrest FOR TRESPASSING was a woman holding a sign that said, "Shame on Notre Dame!" Those bearing signs of approval were unmolested. If this isn't a first amendment violation and a case of false arrest I don't know what is.

The Department of Homeland Security may have pulled their "right-wing extremist" report, but it's clear that pro-lifers are in the sites of law enforcement who will use any pretext to shut them up and make sure the abortion president won't be embarrassed by their signs. The deputies in this case acted like little brownshirts I'm sad to say. (My brother is a retired police officer and one of my heroes. It pains me when I have to criticize law enforcement officers who abuse their authority.)

I hope when you read this you're as angry as I am and will call the jail and protest the false arrest of my friend Karen Torres. The number at the South Bend jail is 574-245-6518. Ask them why they didn't arrest any of the other 50-100 people in the same area who were obviously trespassing as well if my friend was. If you call, please be polite, but express your concern that Karen's was singled out, a clear violation of her right to free speech.

Department of Homeland Security Backs Down, Pulls Report

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has egg on its face. This morning the Washington Times reported that the "right-wing extremism" report has been pulled. The document labeled pro-lifers, veterans, those who oppose illegal immigration, and others as potential domestic terrorists. No evidence, mind you, just bigoted stereotyping of those who subscribe to conservative principles of government. A liberal administration that considers "profiling" anathema when it comes to Muslim men in turbans, had no problem profiling those who respect the lives of unborn children.

While this action is welcomed, it would be naive to think that deep-sixing a report based on bigotry will change the mindsets of liberals who demonize their opponents. Recall that DHS head Janet Napolitano originally defended the report and refused to apologize. The tiger may be pretending to be a pussycat at present, but those who love liberty better maintain their vigilance.

Thoreau once said that in the unjust society the only place for the just man is jail. Read about one just man unjustly sent to jail for defending the unborn and exercising his constitutional right to free speech outside an abortion mill. His prison sentence from a tyrannical judge is a warning to all of us. Pray for Pastor Hoye and his family.
