Muhammad flying over Mecca at the beginning of his Night Journey. The square building in the center is the the Kabba. Currently in the British Museum |
If Christians said that Jesus flew
into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday on a winged horse and landed on the Temple Mount we
would be laughed out of existence.
Obviously, those who believe in Muhammad’s claim to have traveled to Jerusalem
either in body or in spirit rely on blind faith rather than common sense. After
reading
Humphrey Prideaux’s account of The Life of Mohamet, there is simply no
compelling reason to believe that Muhammad’s Night Journey was anything other
than a dream unless of course Gabriel, as written before, is Satan in disguise which then makes the Night Journey
demonic in origin, and Muhammad the prophet of Satan.
OBSERVATION: After "ascending" through the seven heavens,
Gabriel suddenly tells Muhammad that he (Gabriel) may not go any farther with
him, therefore Muhammad continues alone through water and snow until he subsequently
arrives in “the presence of God (Allah)”.
COMMENT: Satan cannot be two entities at once (Gabriel and Allah) therefore
has to change from appearing as Gabriel guiding Muhammad through the seven
heavens, to appearing as Allah sitting under the Lote tree in paradise waiting
for his prophet. With Muhammad engaged in continuing the Night Journey by
himself, Satan has ample time to change his disguise.

OBSERVATION: Muhammad said that “God put forth his hand and laid it upon him, and that His hand was so exceedingly cold it pierced to the very marrow of his back and he could not bear it.”
COMMENT: In Dante Alighieri’s Divine
Comedy we find Satan in the last Canto of Inferno frozen waist deep in the center of a lake of ice. God is
never cold. We say the warmth of God or
the warmth of the Holy Spirit, Who as
we know descended as tongues of fire,
not blocks of ice. Never do we say the coldness
of the Holy Spirit or refer to God’s touch as being exceedingly cold. Therefore the Judeo-Christian God did not reach
out and touch Muhammad. That was Satan disguised as God to dupe the ever
foolish Muhammad.
OBSERVATION: According
to Islam, the Night Journey took place twelve years after Muhammad
became a prophet. Muhammad mounted Al-Borak, and in the company of Gabriel,
they traveled to the "farthest mosque" which Muhammad said was on the
Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
COMMENT: Muhammad was born in 570 AD, was 40 years old in 610 AD when
he first became a prophet therefore the
Night Journey, 12 years later, supposedly took place in 622 AD. The location of
this “farthest mosque” was
not explicitly stated but is generally accepted to mean Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. When this Surah
was revealed in 622 AD, a Sacred Mosque already existed in Mecca, and “the farthest mosque” was identified with places
inside Arabia, either in Medina, or a town called Ji’rana, about ten miles from
Mecca.
Unfortunately for Islam’s
timeline, in 622 AD, Palestine had not yet been conquered by Muslim armies, and
contained not a single mosque.
Muslims say that Al-Borak carried Muhammad to the Masjid Al Aqsa the
"Farthest Mosque", which Muslims believe is "the Al Aqsa mosque
in Jerusalem." This mosque was finished in 705 AD, therefore obviously did not exist
before Muhammad's death in 632 AD, and certainly not in 622 AD. Consequently the
reason for the Dome of the Rock to be built on top of the Temple Mount is bogus
and Islam’s claim to the Temple Mount is built on falsehood.

OBSERVATION: Hadiths supply
other details about the Night Journey. Various scholars and writers have suggested places where Al-Borak [Muhammad’s flying horse with wings on his
thighs] was tethered, mostly locations near the southwest corner of the
Haram. However, for several
centuries the preferred location has been the al-Buraq (Al_Borak) Mosque just inside the wall at the south end of the Western Wall plaza. Because of the proximity to the
Western Wall, the area next to the wall has been associated with Al-Borak at
least since the 19th century.
COMMENT: Folks, Al-Borak is
not real. There is no such creature as a horse with wings on his thighs. Muhammad
did not fly on a winged horse from Mecca to Jerusalem and back again in one
night in 622 AD, or ever. If anything happened other than a dream it was not by
divine
intervention. If there was supernatural intervention at all, it was demonic.
...in short, a synopsis of the entire story of Muhammad
by various Catholic saints
There is also the superstition of the Ishmaelites which to
this day prevails and keeps people in error, being a forerunner of the
Antichrist….From that time to the present a false prophet named Muhammad has
appeared in their midst. This man, after having chanced upon the Old and New Testaments
and likewise, it seems, having conversed with an Arian monk, devised his own heresy.
Then, having insinuated himself into the good graces of the people by a show of
seeming piety, he gave out a certain book that had been sent down to him from
heaven. He had set down some ridiculous compositions in this book of his and he
gave it to them as an object of veneration. St
John Damascene (d. 749)

He then seduced the people by
promises of carnal pleasure to which the concupiscence of the flesh goads us.
His teaching also contained precepts that were in conformity with his promises,
and he gave free rein to carnal pleasure. In all this, as is not unexpected, he
was obeyed by carnal men. As for proofs of the truth of his doctrine, he
brought forward only such as could be grasped by the natural ability of anyone
with a very modest wisdom. Indeed, the truths he taught he mingles with many
fables and with doctrines of the greatest falsity. He did not bring forth any
signs produced in a supernatural way, which alone fittingly gives witness to
divine inspiration; for a visible action that can be only divine reveals an invisibly
inspired teacher of truth. On the contrary, Muhammad said that he was sent in
the power of his arms–which are signs not lacking even to robbers and tyrants.
St Thomas Aquinas (d. 1274)

Muhammad had neither supernatural
miracles nor natural motives of reason to persuade those of his sect. As he
lacked in everything, he took to bestial and barbaric means, which is the force
of arms. Thus he introduced and promulgated his message with robberies,
murders, and blood shedding, destroying those who did not want to receive it,
and with the same means his ministers conserve this today, until God placates
his anger and destroys this pestilence from the earth. The very manners Islam
teaches are from a school of vicious bestialities. It remains an impious,
blasphemous, vicious cult, an innovation of the devil, and the direct way into
the fires of hell. It does not even merit the name of being called a religion.
St Juan di Ribera (d. 1611)
