Is there anything better we can give to our moms?
Love you, Mom. You gave me an incredible example of love for God, constant cheerfulness, service to others, and fortitude.
I look forward to the day when we meet once again merrily in heaven!
Happy Mother's Day!
My mom passed away last year. We had not been close for many years. I am very conscious of my own hardness of heart in that relationship. That certainly damaged my relationship with my sister, too.
ReplyDeleteMy sister sent a large number of photo's of my mom and the rest of the family. I just wept. Tempus fugit.
Every family has challenges. I'm one of ten children. Our family dynamic is definitely tussling, to put it mildly, but we love each other as well as we can. And people come together to support each other in the struggle. I once read a book by Simon Tugwell (I think he's a Dominican) that said part of the cross we carry is the fact we carry it so badly. I'm saying a prayer for you and your family right now.
ReplyDeleteFrom California,
ReplyDeleteYou had a beautiful mother and a handsome father from the pictures you have shown over the years. May they, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Thank you, California. She was beautiful inside and out and one of the most cheerful people I ever knew, even on her death bed.
