Nabi Sayeth: The Sex Abuse Crisis is Impacting the Suicide Crisis

Nabi Sayeth: In Part I, I presented to you for your consideration the “thinking” that exists in the mind of the person who contemplates suicide. Suicide is a choice, an act of control when a man, woman or child thinks that life is overwhelmingly out of control. It’s their way of taking control of the pain and confusion.

But because they are so incredibly self-focused, they do not consider other options to remedy their confusion nor do they take into account the devastation they leave behind to the lives of the very people who love them the most.

In Part I, I was so bold as to write that the clergy sex abuse scandal is a contributing factor to the rise in the suicide rate. There are two ways that this is so:

The Polish former papal nuncio to the Dominican Republic, Joseph Wesolowski, who's under house arrest in the Vatican for sex abuse of minors in the Caribbean nation should move over. Read the article below and ask yourself what the heck is going on when a priest trains children to lick his body and has them on their hands and knees in front of him at the level  as his crotch. Where exactly does that put their faces?

And notice the long stick he uses. I once picked up a slim volume of medieval cartoons in a book store showing knights in armor. I quickly realized it was what passed for medieval porn with swords, spears, and other long objects used as phallic symbols. Now why did this priest and his stick bring that to mind?

This "Father Director" and the nuns who are enabling this perversion should all be under house arrest at the Vatican with Wesolowski!

Think about it. This priest is perverting the minds and hearts of minor children. And he continues his sick antics unmolested by Vatican discipline. Meanwhile, six priests of the The Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate are suspended a divinis (a severe punishment usually restricted for serious crimes) for attempting to leave the Institute and be incardinated in a diocese. What canon law does that violate? Isn't it a priest's right?

So can someone explain exactly what is going on ? Anyone? Anyone?

The infamous Fr. Sparks and his infamous publisher, Harcourt

The article excerpt below appeared in 2001 in Catholic Family News as part of a longer piece. Randy Engel sent it to me after I posted about Fr. Sparks speaking in the Diocese of Orange, CA. If you're interested in seeing the complete article leave a comment. If Bishop Tod Brown were really serious about "protecting children" he would follow his own policies. The diocese publishes a flyer called Respecting the Boundaries. Here's a bit of the content:

Either sexual exploitation or sexual abuse can include physical contact from the church leader or representative such as:

􀂃 Sexual touch or other intrusive touching (i.e. tickling, wrestling, or other physical contact) that causes uneasiness or discomfort

􀂃 Inappropriate gift (such as lingerie).

􀂃 A prolonged hug when a brief hug is customary behavior.

􀂃 Kissing on the lips when a kiss on the cheek would be appropriate.

􀂃 Showing sexually suggestive objects or pornography.

􀂃 Sexual intercourse, anal or oral sex.

Sexual exploitation or sexual abuse can also include verbal behavior such as:

􀂃 Innuendo;


􀂃 Sexual comments;

􀂃 Tales of sexual exploits or

􀂃 Making sexual proposals.

There's no doubt that Fr. Sparks explicit sex talk about women's breasts and the size of his organ and his blasphemous remarks about Jesus and the saints violates boundaries. If Bishop Tod Brown really means to create a safe environment for children and adults in his diocese he needs to ban Fr. Sparks permanently!
