Man can certainly damage the environment. Let's see a little concern over birth control chemicals in our drinking water causing sex changes in the fish. That's real! And we could use a little hand-wringing over GMOs that are poisoning breast milk, etc. Global warming is moonshine shenanigans!

NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, NOAA, are collecting data from thousands fewer temperature reporting stations than they did in 1970. The smaller sample size is compromised by locating the remaining stations in urban areas and not compensating for the localized warming known as the urban heat island effect.

The global warming extremists claim a scientific consensus. They don't have it! But those scientists who disagree are marginalized, their papers are suppressed, and they are squeezed out of the grant process, etc. If you want to understand the other possibilities for temperature fluctuations and see the agenda for controlling populations watch the video.

What's the motivation? Money is a big one. In 2009, the estimate of money (mostly government) flowing into green technologies and the environmental movement was $94 BILLION globally.

The three movements, independent but natural allies, promoting the global warming scam are those who want population control, one-world government, and earth worship. Among the suggested "fixes" for global warming, Al Gore wants to expand abortion and birth control in the third world. (Why is the solution of the rich always to kill the poor?) Prince Phillip actually said in an address to the World Wildlife Fund, "If I were reincarnated, I would want to be returned to earth as a killer virus to lower human population levels." (No wonder Christ said it was hard for the rich to get into heaven!)

Voris describes the eugenic history in the U.S. Thirty states had sterilization laws on the books in the first half of the 20th century. Blacks were particularly targeted. The last law was stripped form the books in the 70s. Hitler borrowed our ideas and was funded by the Rockefellers and the Carnegies. This is why people need to understand history. This is all about maintaining an elite group. We are being manipulated "through guilt and fear."

The EPA is the Church's Friend?

I have to admit that when I see the Environmental Protection Agency posing as a friend of religious congregations, my suspicious mind begins whirring as all the neurons, or whatever they are, start looking for connections.

Energy Star for Congregations is a program of the EPA and the Department of Energy. Consider that both of these  departments are unconstitutional. Exactly how are they going to help us? Well...there's a big effort to force the "greening of America" on us which is really about forcing us to do all the things the government says are good for us. Just as the Cap and Tax legislation has all kinds of draconian clean energy proposals in it including the energy home inspector coming to check your appliances before you can sell your home, I expect the Energy Star program is really about changing the ways congregations think and enlisting them in the government's environmental scam.

I did a search on the Energy Star website on "global warming" and came up with 1800 hits. What do you think this is really all about?

As Ronald Reagan often said, the most frightening words in the English language are, "I'm from the government and I'm here to help you."

Right!

In the new world order I fully expect to see morality defined as using low water toilets, coiled mercury lightbulbs, smart cars, and of course, aborting all those unwanted babies so we can save the planet for the wolves, polar bears, snail darters, and beetles...oh, and of course, old growth forests.

You Gotta Give Al Gore Credit for Chutzpah!

After weeks of silence, Climategate's Chicken Little is back in the barnyard running in circles and screaming that, not only is the sky falling, but the world as we know it is about to end. And his megaphone, the New York Times, is always happy to amplify his nonsense. A recent op-ed repeated all the same old scare-mongering without one iota of scientific data to back it up. Oh...but he did tell his readers to ignore the man behind the curtain. All the fraud and dishonesty is dismissed and swept away with a flourish. You gotta give the guy credit for chutzpah! What a humbug! I know I'm mixing my metaphors but Al Gore is definitely a bizarre combination of Chicken Little stirring up all the gullible barnyard beasts and the humbug Wizard of Oz pulling strings and using smoke, fire, and mirrors to maintain his powerful position in the Emerald City. It's time to put the guy in the hot air balloon (which he can fill with his own emissions) and send him off into the atmosphere. Hopefully he'll land on a deserted island where he'll have to learn to work for survival. That could be the first honest labor he's ever done.

One conservative addressing global warming pointed out that fellow conservatives need to get serious in addressing the issue by doing their homework. I agree. There's plenty of solid evidence available to refute the hot air and theatrics being spouted by Gore and his liberal cronies. In addition to the links available at the Laigle's Forum post, my favorite documentation comes from John Coleman, founder of the Weather Channel.

Keep the pressure on the frauds who are using the man-made global warming hoax to gain wealth and power and turn the citizens of the United States into serfs on their fiefs. Cap and tax, carbon offsets, etc. are all about redistributing income and plenty of it will end up in the pockets of demagogues like Al Gore.

It's being used to justify massive tax increases and the control of every aspect of our lives. Those who try to get the facts out about global warming are caller "deniers" as if to link us with the same kind of crazy people who deny the Holocaust.

Do You Feel Sorry for this Climategate Fraud?

I thought of killing myself, says climate scandal professor Phil Jones

After reading the above article I had to scratch my head. Why would the press run it? What's the news? That Professor Jones is suffering from depression? And that he stands by his fraudulent work 100%? Does the public really care? And did Professor Jones really get death threats? After all, he and his pals lied about scientific data. Might he not also lie to arouse the sympathy of the world? And is the media an enabler? Poor Professor Jones, victim of those big bad global warming deniers.

Of course, it's possible he got death threats. I have no doubt that people can be brutal. I have a file full of personal hate mail including several anonymous letters that could be perceived as threatening. I tend to shrug. Anonymous hatemongers are such cowards, I doubt they're much threat.

But why should we feel sorry for Jones anyway. After all, these guys rejoiced in their emails over the death of a scientist who was a global warming skeptic. And they colluded to make sure that those scientists outside their club would never be published in the peer reviewed journals they controlled and even those they didn't. Couldn't let any facts that contradict their lies see the light, could they?

I hope readers will pray for Jones and all the liars with Ph.D.s after their names. He would have no trouble sleeping at night if he repented of his actions, humbly apologized, and made a firm purpose of amendment henceforth to be an honest man. Is that so hard?

But I'm glad he has a five-year-old granddaughter to give him a reason to live. He should reflect on the example his actions have given her and resolve to offer her a better one in the future.

Can you believe anything they say on global warming?

Climate scaremongers have been wringing their hands over the melting of the Himalayan glaciers. One problem - once again the data is false. And it also appears that leading scientists knew and hushed up the fact to prevent embarrassment at the Copenhagen summit. Rajendra Pachauri, head of the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) knew for months that data about glacier melt in the organization's report was wrong. But as part of the basis for the Copenhagen meeting, he did nothing to correct it claiming ignorance. Baloney! As The Times (UK) reported:

Mr Pallava interviewed Dr Pachauri again this week for Science and asked him why he had decided to overlook the error before the Copenhagen summit. In the taped interview, Mr Pallava asked: “I pointed it out [the error] to you in several e-mails, several discussions, yet you decided to overlook it. Was that so that you did not want to destabilise what was happening in Copenhagen?”

Dr Pachauri replied: “Not at all, not at all. As it happens, we were all terribly preoccupied with a lot of events. We were working round the clock with several things that had to be done in Copenhagen. It was only when the story broke, I think in December, we decided to, well, early this month — as a matter of fact, I can give you the exact dates — early in January that we decided to go into it and we moved very fast.

If you believe this nonsense I have a bridge here in Woodstock I'd be willing to sell, one of the few covered bridges left in the country as a matter of fact. And speaking of money, in a related story The Times reported that:

The chairman of the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), has used bogus claims that Himalayan glaciers were melting to win grants worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.

Rajendra Pachauri's Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), based in New Delhi, was awarded up to £310,000 by the Carnegie Corporation of New York and the lion's share of a £2.5m EU grant funded by European taxpayers.

There you have it, boys and girls. Once again love of money leads to lying and falsification of data. If you believe these climate change gurus after repeated demonstrations of their lies, you need to have your head examined. Remember the old adage, "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me."

Who Benefits from Global Warming?

December was REALLY COLD! Did you notice? It was the 14th coldest in the contiguous United States for the past 115 years. It also set records in other parts of the world. Check out examples here and here and here.

Obviously one month does not a climate make. But what does? I get into arguments with global warming hysterics who insist that temperatures at different places don't matter. But of course they do. The aggregate of temperatures around the world over time is part of the data. After all, it's the collection of weather measurements from many places that indicates what's happening on the planet. Unless, of course, there's a global armpit to measure the "planet's fever".

Anyone with half a brain and a little life experience (even a non-scientist)recognizes variations in climate from year to year. Many scientists have associated warmer periods on the earth with high sunspot activity and cooler periods with low activity. The theory that mankind is responsible for temperature variations is typical of the godless sense that man is the center of the universe. Forget it, folks, we're not. My theory that sin causes global warming by opening fissures from hell is just as likely as all the nonsense about greenhouse gases.

Read up on the biosphere. Scientists find that when CO2 increases, vegetation grows a lot faster. It's self-correcting. I don't know if man will ever have the capacity to destroy the planet. I doubt it, because I think the Lord will return before he lets that happen. But I know one thing for sure. It's frigid out there and if you don't like it go somewhere else because no matter what you do it'll still be cold ouside.

As for "scientists" with their computer models who tell us what will happen ten or twenty years down the road, I'll believe it when the weatherman can accurately predict what will happen next week. The last time I depended on a ten day forecast for a travel destination, it showed sunny and warm temperatures which didn't materialize until the day we were returning home. Cold and rainy with occasional cloudy would have been more accurate. And you think these guys can predict the demise of the planet in a century?

A lot of people benefit from hysteria. Al Gore is a global warming profiteer making millions off the hysteria he hypes around the world.

Be a good steward of the earth; live a virtuous life. That's the best insurance for saving the planet. It closes up the fissures from hell that poison the air. That's the only real "man-made" global warming.

Below is a video of testimony from Al Gore to Congress. I was disappointed with the failure to really grill Gore. His non-answer illustrates that the best defense is a good offense. The Congresswoman should have pursued the question and asked if he was willing to have an independent financial audit of his books. Does the non-profit pay him a salary for serving the company on its board or for other duties associated with his involvement? You can funnel all your money into the non-profit and get it back again. Planned Parenthood, after all, calls itself a non-profit as well. How much do they pay their staff? The fact is that Al Gore has increased his personal wealth from a millionaire to a multi-millionaire since leaving Congress. Where is the money coming from? How much is he really making from selling his green snake oil?

The Climate Summit Boondoggle in Copenhagen is having a negative impact on the global carbon footprint. The Wall Street Journal reported the following:

Majken Friss Jorgensen, managing director of Copenhagen's biggest limousine company told the London Telegraph on Dec. 5th that she reckoned that between her and her rivals the total number of limos in Copenhagen for the global warming conference has already broken the 1,200 barrier. The French alone rang up last Thursday and ordered another 42. "We haven't got enough limos in the country to fulfill the demand,' she says. 'We're having to drive them in hundreds of miles from Germany and Sweden."

And the total number of electric cars or hybrids among all those limos? "Five," said Ms. Jorgensen.

They should have held their sessions via GoToMeeting.com. Think of all the carbon emisssions poor Mother Earth would have been spared, not to mention the city of Copenhagen. All those political gasbags emitting CO2, not to mention methane, is more than one city should have to bear.

The Weather Outside is Frightful....Must be Global Warming!

All I can think about today is snow. Lots of it! It reminds me of the snow scene in Dr. Zhivago. This is the closest we'll ever get to a Russian winter, I expect. Where's global warming when you need it?

When we got up this morning we had close to a foot already and it's supposed to snow all day and into the early evening. We will definitely have a white Christmas because this isn't going anywhere soon. Opening the doors is a challenge even where they are in semi-protected areas.

Fortunately, there's a four wheel drive Yukon in the garage (I know, I know, Al Gore wouldn't approve.) so hopefully we will make it out to Mass tomorrow. But even that is a big question mark since our driveway is about 100 feet long and I expect the snow plows will do a number on the end of it requiring a serious dig out.

Larry tried pushing the snow with our John Deere tractor which is equipped with a small snow plow, but it was a hopeless task. We need a scoop and dump truck for this amount of white stuff.

So we are officially snowed in (Better than being snowed out. Back in 2003 when we had two back-to-back storms with about 18 inches of snow, we were returning from a trip and couldn't get into our driveway. Fortunately, the gentleman who plows out the church lot came over and dug us in.)

What will I do as I admire the beauty outside my window? Write more Christmas cards, bake some cookies, and maybe decorate the tree. A time like this in our frenetic world is an invitation. But also a challenge for those who MUST be out in it. Pray for their safety. I'm thinking particularly of all the dear staff at the nursing home where I take Communion on Sundays. Some of them live on the other side of the mountain. May God protect all those who must travel in this winter blizzard and carry them safely to their destinations. Everybody else, have the sense to stay home and enjoy the view.

Chicken Little Lives and is the Governor of California

Arnold Schwarzenegger is known for his action films filled with sex and violence. But hey, he's now producing comedy, namely ridiculous doomsday films promoting the global warming scam. A man whose state sends IOU's to citizens instead of tax refunds presumes to predict that within a century much of California will be underwater. The doomsday is real in California, but it's out-of-control government spending. Get that under control, Arnie. And somebody please send the guv a memo about the faked global warming data. The temperature has been dropping in the last ten years and even when it was warming it wasn't as warm as the Medieval warm period. Maybe Arnie only reads the mainstream media and the lies put out by his own people.

On the other hand, he could be living in a virtual reality world like the movie set of The Day After, one of the dumbest movies ever made.

As for California, I can't get too upset at the prospect of a third of it sinking into the ocean. Too bad it's a hoax. As the old joke asks "what do you call ten lawyers (or a third of the state of California) on the bottom of the ocean?" Answer: a good beginning. Hopefully Arnie's hysteria will drive more people to abandon the state of insanity and move elsewhere.

To my friends in California, come to Virginia. We can use some sensible people to balance the liberals who live in the northern suburbs outside of D.C.

Climategate: When Scientists Are Frauds!

The thousands of emails leaked from the hacked Climate Research Unit at East Anglia University show exactly how bogus the global warming hoax is.

What are some of the revelations?

1) There is a small cadre of scientists who work together to promote a single view about global warming based on manipulation and falsification of the data. They Control the Hadley Center which controls the global data on temperature and they control the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change)whose data they have also manipulated. When the data can't be trusted the results can't be trusted either.

2) Orchestration of a controlled, closed system with attacks on individual scientists and journals. If an editor requires independent names to review an article the incestuous group of scientists provide each other's names to orchestrate and control publication of data and blacklist those scientists who question the politically correct view.

3) Falsification of the past:

changing the data, altering the temperature record, deleting data - Is this not a criminal conspiracy in view of the impact on global climate meetings?

"We must get rid of the Medieval warming period." Jonathan Overpeck (The Medieval warm period is the warmest time in history, but that conflicts with the the desire to present man-made global warming. Obviously man-made carbon emissions during the middle ages were limited so the period is an embarrassment to global warming scientists.)

4) Collusion is clearly evident in the emails and is also being demonstrated by the media and the scientists covering for each other as though this is no big deal. It is, in fact, a very big deal. There should be a criminal investigation. Many people (Al Gore comes to mind) are making millions of dollars off of hyping green technology and screaming that the sky is falling. As usual "follow the money." It reveals a lot.

George Will gets my vote for the Voice of Common Sense Award. His article Dark Green Doomsayers points out that only 30 years ago the same folks wringing their hands over global warming today were running in circles hysterically warning of the coming ice age. Then and today the message was the same: massive starvation, the end of life as we know it, etc. Will aims a hit at one of my favorite Chicken Littles, Paul Ehrlich, the bug scientist who wrote the attack on babies called The Population Bomb. Well, the bomb turned out to be a dud and if all the babies aborted since 1973 were alive today we'd have a lot more taxpayers contributing to our economic base.

Read the article and laugh. These guys don't care about the climate; they love hysteria. It does two things -- 1) Makes money to SOLVE THE PROBLEM (even if it doesn't exist) and 2) Provides an excuse to expand government control.

God calls us to be good stewards of our world. That doesn't mean we have to swallow the snake oil being peddled by the likes of Al Gore.

Talking about weather, global warming, and carbon footprints

It's in the 40s today in Shenandoah County and is supposed to hit 60 degrees tomorrow. That must be a warning to us and proof of global warming. The planet is heating up and we all better build our arks in the back yard so we can hop in and slam the doors when the polar ice caps melt and the coastlands disappear under rising ocean water. Be sure to stock plenty of seasickness pills.

On the other hand, we just had one of the coldest Novembers on record with many cities in the southeast experiencing record lows. Augusta, Georgia recorded the sixth coldest November since 1900 and Asheville the chilliest in ten years. Perth, Australia had the coldest November of the past 37 years. So this must be a warning that we are entering a new ice age. Better stock up on thermal underwear and prepare ourselves for more of what the northeast is suffering: ice storms, frigid temperatures, and power outages.

Meanwhile, the glaciers in Norway and Alsaska are growing despite the fact that they were shrinking in the 80s. If shrinking glaciers point to global warming what do expanding glaciers point to?

The founder of the weather channel, John Coleman, has called global warming a "total myth" and a "scam." Coleman and 30,000 other scientists (including 9,000 PhDs) may sue Al Gore and others selling carbon credits for fraud. Coleman says the manipulated hysteria over global warming has become an "environmentalist religion."

Ho-hum who cares, you say? Well, how about the impact biofuels are having on the third world where the cost of grain has skyrocketed because it is now being grown for cleaner-burning fuel, thus creating food shortages. Al Gore's environmentalist hoax takes bread out of the mouths of babes literally. I doubt he loses any sleep at night. After all, Gore is a long-time anti-natalist who with President Clinton aggressively promoted population control in the third world. What's a few million starved poor folk in Africa who don't look like the Gores anyway? - Fewer carbon footprints messing up the planet.

Elitists consider the teeming masses in the third world a threat and the Clinton-Gore Cairo Conference of 1994 made it absolutely clear that population control, particularly in the third world, was at the top of their priority list. Could it be that global warming is just one more way to promote de-population? Already, voices clamor for carbon taxes on newborns who will clutter up the planet for eighty years or more interfering with the lifestyles of the the rich and famous whose favorite tourist attractions are overrun with the hoi-polloi these days.

As for global warming, I'm not worried about it. Even the global warming scare-mongers are changing their tune, singing a new song about "climate change." It's hard to sell global warming in the middle of some of the coldest weather on record. Meanwhile I'm rooting for Coleman's lawsuit against Al Gore and I plan to enjoy the unseasonably warm weather tomorrow. It's a nice break from all the unseasonably cold weather we've had lately.
