Occupy Wall Street is Like the Tea Party????

Robert Knight had a great article in the Washington Times on the media bias comparing Occupy Wall Street to the Tea Party Movement. Let's face it, the folks camping out in our cities, trashing the parks, urinating and defecating in neighbors' yards, attacking police, having sex in plain view, peppering their signs and speech with f this and f that, chanting for bestiality, etc. have little in common with the Tea Parties.

I've attended tea party rallies filled with law-abiding folks waving flags and dressing in patriotic costumes who recognize that the problem is too much government. They bear little resemblance to the crowds in the parks being incited by socialists, communists, and community organizing groups demanding more government and expressing their hatred for the rich and successful. (How come nobody ever objects to Oprah and her empire? Or George Soros? Or Michael Moore? Or Nancy Pelosi, the Clintons, and Al Gore? How come their greed is okay? Some of them came by their wealth in much more suspect fashion than CEOs on Wall Street.)

Boot the Entire Congress?

This post can be easily summarized by this scene from the film, Brewster's Millions. Please excuse the rough language, but it is so fitting I just had to connect it to the post.




There's mounting evidence that the American people are fed up with business as usual on Capitol Hill. Rasmussen is reporting an interesting poll result today. Sixty-five percent (65%) of "likely voters" in their random poll said they would choose to throw out the entire Congress and start over. Here are the questions:

2* Do you have a favorable or unfavorable opinion of the Republican Party?

3* The following results are a combination of responses from questions 1 and 2.

4* Suppose you could vote this fall on whether to get rid of the entire Congress and start over again. Would you vote to keep the entire Congress or get rid of the entire Congress?

5* Do you consider yourself part of the Tea Party Movement? [those who answered "no" or "Not sure" were asked] Do you have any close friends or family members who are part of the Tea Party movement?

A couple of other interesting findings from the poll.

• 82% of Republicans and 78% of unaffiliateds say dump them all. Despite their party’s control of both the House and Senate, Democratic voters are fairly evenly divided: 44% say it’s better to keep the entire Congress, but 38% would prefer to give all the national legislators the heave-ho.
• Among all voters, just three percent (3%) have a favorable opinion of both parties, while 18% view both unfavorably. Seventy-nine percent (79%) offer mixed reviews.
•  
• Twenty percent (20%) of voters nationwide now say they are members of the Tea Party, with another 10% who say they aren’t members but have friends or family members who are. Sixty-one percent (61%) say they have no ties to the grass roots movement. [This is a particularly interesting statistic since it takes about 20% of the population to foment a revolution. Which means that liberals are in big trouble if the tea partiers get really organized!]

Election Day is coming. Go out and vote - not Republican or Democrat, but pro-life! Support candidates who will defend the unborn child who has no voice but yours. And, above all, pray. Pray that the Lord blesses us with men and women after His own heart.

Christine O'Donnell for Senate: "Delaware Crossing the Washington!"

Christine O'Donnell's primary win in Delaware has thrown establishment Republicans for a loop. Falling all over themselves attacking her, they promise not to support her candidacy despite her stunning win. The National Republican Senatorial Campaign, a group that recently solicited me for cash, won't put any money in O'Donnell's battle. She hasn't got a chance, Republican pundits say, and are busy making sure their prediction of defeat is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Karl Rove, who solicited tea party support last year for establishment nominees, is having a tantrum over O'Donnell's win and engaging in personal attacks. Why? Because the party machine would rather help Democrats win (like Dede Scozzafava  did in New York) than work for candidates who actually support the conservative principles outlined in the Republican Party Platform.

Jim De Mint, who did endorse O'Donnell, called the attacks "Republican cannibalism." Others have picked up on a comment made that her win represents "Delaware crossing the Washington." The O'Donnell win is a shot across the bow of the Republican establishment's yacht. Two thumbs up for freedom lovers in that tiny state who trounced Castle 53% to 47%. It certainly was no cliffhanger like the tea party win in Alaska when Murkowski, another liberal in Republican clothing, fell to Joe Miller, a little known lawyer from Fairbanks.

Let's take a look at Mike Castle, the career Republican defeated by O'Donnell, who is so beloved by the Republican establishment. He's pro-abortion, pro-gun control, boasts of increasing school-based health clinics (notorious for promoting contraception and abortion), favors embryonic stem cell research, opposed restricting the transportation of minors across state lines for an abortion, voted against banning abortion in foreign aid funding, supports gay rights. Need I go on? What exactly is "moderate" about this man? It would clearly be better to have an open Democrat in the seat than this RINO who would be working to expand his "moderate" positions for bi-partisan agreement with his anti-life comrades across the aisle.

Now let's take a look at Christine O'Donnell, the candidate the Republican establishment is calling a "nut."  She's pro-life across the board and pro-family, an unapologetic Christian. She opposes gun control and favors control of our borders. She opposes pornography and has called masturbation "a sin." O'Donnell is a pro-abstinence Catholic and a fiscal conservative.

As a voter, who do you resemble more - Mike Castle or Christine O'Donnell? The fact that this traditional young woman is being attacked as a "nut job," not only by Democrats but by Republicans, shows exactly how out of touch they are with the American people. Christine O'Donnell looks like me and many of the voters I know. She is a common sense, principled conservative who believes morality matters. That's why she's such a threat to the hill where morality equals pragmatism, where the most important issue is reelection.

The Republican establisment says nominating conservatives is useless if they can't win in November. They quit before they begin. And they are patently wrong! The only way to change the Republican party is to refuse to nominate their "moderates" who often favor positions that would have horrified voters in the 1950s. Is a pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage Republican any good to us? No. It just gives us one more vote for Planned Parenthood and homosexual rights. Principles are important and fundamental principles cannot be compromised. And if it takes some election losses to get that message to the Republican pharisees, so be it. If they want to win, they will learn to back conservatives.

Pray for Christine O'Donnell and help her make up financially for the lack of support from the Republican Party. Never give to the party hacks who use your cash to support morally bankrupt candidates like Mike Castle. Will excluding the social issues derail the tea party movement?

Bryan Fisher makes the case that the tea parties will fail if they censor the social issues. Here's a portion of his article:

Most folks in the Tea Party movement recognize that it is far worse for a nation to be morally and spiritually bankrupt than to be fiscally bankrupt, and are in the movement, at least in part, because they are alarmed at the moral drift in this country and want to do something about it.

This strain of moral libertarianism is a threat to the Tea Party movement. If the Tea Party is to be an effective voice, it must unapologetically press an agenda of fiscal, constitutional and social conservatism. Authentic conservatism is holistic, and knocking one of the three legs off the stool will prove fatal in the end to the Tea Party effort.

Authentic conservatives are economic libertarians and cultural conservatives. Not one or the other.

Cultural libertarians are not conservatives at all. They have far more in common with the hippies of the '60s than they do with George Washington and Thomas jefferson.

The Tea Party will forfeit its claim to reflect the values of the Founders if it does not affirm the message of cultural conservatism as well as economic restraint. Let's not forget that it was the father of our country who said that religion and morality both are "indispensable supports" of political prosperity

Will Conservatives Abandon the Moral Issues...and Become Irrelevant?

Events of the past few weeks indicate that the battle for conservatism is at a crossroads. With Ann Coulter scheduled to  speak at GoProud's HOMOCON event, and Glenn Beck declaring the gay marriage movement not important enough to engage, we're seeing the further normalization and acceptance of the gay agenda. And is it surprising? Gays have a lot of money. They also have plenty of social acceptance, both in the mainstream media and among the clueless young. They've won the "tolerance" battle convincing millions that sodomy is a civil right and that mutual masturbation and worse is equivalent to marital relations.

The fact is, criticizing the gay agenda will get you attacked and labeled a "nut job" quicker than almost any other issue, even abortion. Let's take one example from the gay playbook. If you want to experience first hand the "jamming" strategy of gay activists (i.e., screaming loud and long against anyone who challenges their agenda), just take a position exposing the vicious homosexual propaganda being paid for and promoted in the public schools with taxpayer dollars. Millions are being spent in Massachusetts alone. The money, among other things, has paid to print and distribute to teens the Little Black Book: Queer in the 21st Century. (Warning: clicking on the link will expose you to disgusting and graphic material. But isn't it interesting homosexuals can call themselves "queer" but if you do, you're a homophobic bigot.)

The black book is nothing but a teaching manual for perversion. You have to see it yourself to believe it and I urge parents with kids in public schools to check it out, because this type of homosexual indoctrination is not limited to Massachusetts.

The "condom guide" includes photos of the erect male organ with instructions on correct condom use. There's another double page describing various types of homosexual sex acts including titles in the margin and their definitions. Here are the titles:  "F***in', Suckin', Spit or Swallow?, Rimming? [with the definition], Watersports (P*** Play), Fisting, Toys, Mutual J***in' Off."

This is for children, remember. The book also includes a list of Boston bars and clubs for "the discerning queerboy." (And they say they aren't recruiting? )

Now the head of Mass Resistance who's been fighting this perversion is Brian Camenker. In my book he's a hero who deserves the thanks of parents everywhere for exposing the dark underbelly of the public schools. And yet when he's invited to participate in local tea party events, a RINO named Christen Varley who, besides being an establishment hack, also heads a poltically correct tea party with some of her friends has gone after Camenker bigtime. Varley, a friend of the liberal media in Boston, is trying to undermine any meetings that include Camenker. She managed to get most of the speakers at one tea party rally to back out which caused the event to be cancelled. (Bunch of cowards!) She also got writer Don Feder to cancel at another tea party event that went on without him. (I'm sure disappointed in Don Feder!)

The big danger to the tea party movement is that they'll buy the lie that they need to restrict the issues to fiscal conservatism and dump the moral issues. If they do that, the movement is dead, just one more useless version of what we have already. What's bringing this country down is our moral collapse. The financial crisis is the direct result of the moral collapse. A quote often attributed to de Tocqueville pegs it.  "America is great because she is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, she will cease to be great." We long since ceased to be good. Can we reclaim our moral heritage? I don't know. But one things for sure; we won't do it with political correctness. We need moral warriors. Brian Camenker illustrates the fighting spirit that made America great. He's a brave man. Pray for him and for his group. We need them!

Blacks Defend Tea Party Against Racism Charge

The liberals want to present monolithic pictures of blacks as liberals and the tea partiers as racist. This video puts the lie to both pictures. Black conservatives may represent a small group or they may be the spearhead of a growing group who are beginning to see that liberalism is destructive. In any cases I applaud these articulate conservatives!

Black Racists Attack the Tea Party Patriots

The Tea Party Movement must really scare the liberals because they sure are trying hard to paint them (and I consider myself one) as racists with white hoods stashed in their closets and nooses, crosses, and torches in their garages. Their crime? Criticizing our black president and his liberal politics and trying to take the country back from big spenders who want to keep every American, black or white, down on the plantation as wage slaves serving the Federal Government and the governing class.

How many people are gullible enough to believe the nonsense tarring every tea party activist as a racist in a white hood? Probably plenty. If you repeat a lie often enough even if you have no proof, many people will swallow your poison. Goebblels knew that and was a master at propaganda.

I've been to several tea party events and didn't see a single racist poster. I did see one with Obama as a witch doctor, but I didn't consider that any more racist than George H. Bush accusing Reagan of "voodoo economics."

I saw a lot of anti-tax posters - very clever posters, in fact, including a child with one showing a piggy bank being hammered by the feds. I didn't see any mass produced posters so common at all the Obama rallies where union members (paid to attend?) filled events. There were even three dimensional signs and street theatre type protests. One man carried a model of the Capitol overrun with very real looking rats with the faces of Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, etc. A couple was pushing a wheelchair holding a skeleton with a sign saying, "I'm still waiting for my operation."

I did see the poster of Obama as the Joker. But, hey, that was just a remake of the George Bush joker poster. Racist? I don't think so. What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. How come it's only mean when conservatives do it?

Note in this video the discussion of the second amendment and "arming" themselves against the "enemy" which is the tea party. The implication of violence is clear.



The accusaton of the NAACP recently about the "racist" tea party participants is the typical race-baiting of an organization that has walked in lockstep with the liberal democrats. They deserve to be challenged to prove their allegations. Where are the photos and videos of racist actions? Of individuals hurling the N word and carrying posters that say "lynch Obama." If they had proof it would be all over the mainstream media. They don't have it. They lie to advance their own agenda. No doubt their are racists among the tea party supporters. But it certainly is not endemic to the movement. For crying you loud there are plenty of blacks among the speakers.

As for racism, it cuts both ways. And the evidence of black racism including the president's own behavior (Remember his attack on a white police officer? He was white so he was presumed guilty.) is not insignificant.

NAACP's latest attack on Tea Party prompts response

The head of the Black Panther's in Philadelphia shows his "tolerance" discussing "white crackers". in the video below. These are the folks attacking the "tea party racists." If it weren't so pathetic it would be laughable.

One Smart Lady: Victoria Jackson

Victoria Jackson may play the dumb blonde, but after watching a bunch of her tea party videos, I'm sold on this lady. This video, particularly, shows she is "dumb" like a fox. Her beautiful testimony to the unborn and her obvious religious underpinnings make her a courageous witness. She reminds me of Gracie Allen in her humor heyday playing the comedienne to George's cigar smoking straight man. Pray for Victoria Jackson as she goes around the country speaking the truth in her inimitable style.

I did find the picture below very interesting because it's the same slogan used against pro-lifers. Anyone who's ever attended a pro-life rescue or march has heard the chant, "Racist, sexist, anti-gay; born again bigots, go away." What does that tell us, boys and girls? These folks are apparently the same gang recycling their trite message. They certainly aren't very original, or truthful for that matter. I always wondered why a racist bigot would risk arrest and ridicule to rescue black and other minority babies from the butchers at abortion mills.

Rasmussen Reports says, "On major issues, 48% of voters say that the average Tea Party member is closer to their views than President Barack Obama. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 44% hold the opposite view and believe the president’s views are closer to their own." Read the rest here.... 

What do you think of the tea party movement?

I'll be upfront. I love the tea party movement! I've attended two events at the Capitol. The first was the massive September event where hundreds of thousands marched. Just thinking about it brings a smile to my face because it was like a giant fourth of July event. The spirit was upbeat. People in patriotic costumes were everywhere. Most of the signs were hand made. The crowd was filled with people of all ages. The sense of humor was incredible. One fella pushed a skeleton in a wheelchair with a sign that read, "I'm still waiting for my operation." People were friendly and helpful. I've never attended anything as upbeat, even the annual March for Life (but maybe that's because people are freezing).

According to a March Gallup Poll more than 25% of Americans support the tea party movement. That's a higher percentage than the number of patriots who supported the founding fathers. Most revolutionary movements attract only about 20% of the population. With this kind of support and the energy that fills the movement, the socialists in Congress better pay attention. They are no doubt gearing up with immigration "reform" to steal the November elections. But more Americans these days are paying attention. So watch out Barack, Joe, Nancy, Harry, Barney, and all you tyrants in ties and pin-striped suits. The patriots are coming.

Savior of the Republican Party?

Well, Scott Brown won an election because he's personable, articulate, drop-dead handsome (which sure doesn't hurt in our American Idol culture), ran a smart campaign, and was the only "conservative" game in town - but primarily because he promised to oppose the president's unpopular health care plan. Now that he's safely in office, he's already dissing the people who contributed heavily to his campaign -- tea party activists. In mid January he claimed he didn't even know those people. And maybe he doesn't want to, because after all -- they (we) are the great unwashed who really believe in the constitution and traditional values.

Brown didn't mind knowing the tea party people last April when he addressed a rally in Worcester. He didn't mind carrying some tea party videos on his website and accepting the tea party "money bomb" that helped propel him into the Senate. Now he's throwing them under the bus. Thanks, Scott. Just like a politician!

This is one more indication that Brown lacks integrity. Will it be politics as usual behind the mask of "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington?" Pray for Scott Brown, but don't buy into the hype that he offers conservatism anything new. Being a fiscal conservative is all well and good, but we sure don't need another social liberal in Congress, especially one who sees himself as a "leader" as he told Barbara Walters. He's handsome and a smooth talker for sure, which are two reasons he won and the accountant in New York didn't. Whether he's going to be good for conservatism is another question. And one thing I can predict with almost 100% accuracy: the temptations of Capitol Hill will not be good for his soul. Will he withstand them? He's already demonstrated he couldn't even withstand the temptation to lie about his connections to the tea party movement. He should have been thanking "those people" for helping to send him to the Senate.

Below is a video of a portion of the Scott Brown/Barbara Walters interview. Despite his Everyman image, the interview demonstrates that Brown does not stand for those of us who defend traditional values. He's another "big tent" Republican with a few bones thrown to the pro-life community. It should concern every serious Catholic that someone as charismatic as Brown is now perceived as the "savior" of the Repbulican party and perhaps the icon of what a Republican should be, i.e., a "moderate." There ain't nothing "moderate" about butchering babies and turning a blind eye to the abomination of same-sex marriage as long as the states choose it. But here we are back at square one with a popular big tent Republican trivializing the most important issues of our day.

Black Preacher Debunks the Slander Against Tea Party "Racists"

Community Organizing at its Ugly Worst! President Obama, Call Off Your Thugs!

The Washington Times has an interesting article this morning, Health reformers targeting 'enemies.' The very first paragraph reads: "The plan for a series of grass-roots demonstrations Tuesday to promote President Obama's health care agenda calls for tightly scripted events and an 'escalation' of efforts against 'enemies' of reform."

Note the tactics straight out of the Alinsky playbook: 1) identify an enemy, 2) freeze him, 3) choose a tactic your mob [okay, Alinsky doesn't call his lackeys a mob] will enjoy. [Union thugs enjoy "escalating" against their opponents, especially if they can do it with steel-tipped boots and brass knuckles.]

The article goes on, "The document, a copy of which was obtained by The Washington Times, details specific talking points, tactics, props and strategies to stage the protests. It lists goals that include action that 'mobilizes our base by animating existing anger about private insurers.' The HCAN field plan dictates that each protest will include a minimum of 30 participants, target only health care insurers CIGNA, WellPoint and United Health Care and showcase what it calls 'victims,' or people who have either lost insurance, can't afford it or were denied coverage because of pre-existing medical conditions....The field plan says the protests should attract media coverage that 'creates villains or enemies that serve as a contrast with our side; validates the need for affordability and the public health insurance option; [and] forces the other side to respond.'"

The organizers are getting more and more transparent and their tactics are no longer a mystery. Honest liberals need to wake up to the fact that they are nothing but pawns on a chessboard being used by unscrupulous politicians for their own purpose. The immoral men and women of both parties do it, liberals just do it more effectively. One big difference -- the mainstream media goes after Republicans, remember Richard Nixon and his "enemies" list? You won't read about this in the New York Times. They stopped being journalists years ago and are nothing but shills for liberal politicians.

One other thought - When you consider that Obama promised "hope" and "change," this escalation of ugly mafia-style tactics is shocking. America, you voted to put a community-organizer-in-chief in the White House. He's running his administration according to Alinsky's Rules for Radicals and turning the country into a banana republic. Push back with prayer, letters to the editor, support for real conservatives, and join the tea party movement.

Don't let the organizers win by default. As Edmund Burke said, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for enough good men to do nothing."

One More Tea Party Racist, eh?

Lloyd Marcus could give Frank Sinatra a run for his money. But as a black conservative he doens't count. He's what liberals describe as oreos or Uncle Toms. Guess he's a racist as well since he opposes the president. Watch the video below for the touching story of one black man who's character shines through as well as the character of his faithful father who loved his family enough to get them out of the ghetto of public housing. Lloyd's story is dramatic and touching and reveals how racism really ends.

Liberals are the real racists. Their policies have destroyed the black family. Daniel Patrick Moynihan identified the problem in 1965 in what has come to be called The Moynihan Report. Without suggesting specific solutions, he clearly identified the problem:

Three centuries of injustice have brought about deep-seated structural distortions in the life of the Negro American. At this point, the present tangle of pathology is capable of perpetuating itself without assistance from the white world. The cycle can be broken only if these distortions are set right.

In a word, a national effort towards the problems of Negro Americans must be directed towards the question of family structure. The object should be to strengthen the Negro family so as to enable it to raise and support its members as do other families. After that, how this group of Americans chooses to run its affairs, take advantage of its opportunities, or fail to do so, is none of the nation's business.
The fundamental importance and urgency of restoring the Negro American Family structure has been evident for some time. E. Franklin Frazier put it most succinctly in 1950:
"As the result of family disorganization a large proportion of Negro children and youth have not undergone the socialization which only the family can provide. The disorganized families have failed to provide for their emotional needs and have not provided the discipline and habits which are necessary for personality development. Because the disorganized family has failed in its function as a socializing agency, it has handicapped the children in their relations to the institutions in the community. Moreover, family disorganization has been partially responsible for a large amount of juvenile delinquency and adult crime among Negroes. Since the widespread family disorganization among Negroes has resulted from the failure of the father to play the role in family life required by American society, the mitigation of this problem must await those changes in the Negro and American society which will enable the Negro father to play the role required of him."61

Nothing was done in response to Frazier's argument. Matters were left to take care of themselves, and as matters will, grew worse not better. The problem is now more serious, the obstacles greater. There is, however, a profound change for the better in one respect. The President has committed the nation to an all out effort to eliminate poverty wherever it exists, among whites or Negroes, and a militant, organized, and responsible Negro movement exists to join in that effort.
Such a national effort could be stated thus:

The policy of the United States is to bring the Negro American to full and equal sharing in the responsibilities and rewards of citizenship. To this end, the programs of the Federal government bearing on this objective shall be designed to have the effect, directly or indirectly, of enhancing the stability and resources of the Negro American family.

Moynihan saw the War on Poverty as a great opportunity. What happened instead? Welfare policies of the Johnson years, made it more profitable for black women to throw men out of the house because Uncle Sugar would pay more than their men could make. Teenagers who wanted out of the house could get benefits by having babies out of wedlock. Their little ones grew up without fathers and often without maternal supervision either. Gangs often take the place of families. The War on Poverty inflicted more damage on the black community which continues suffering from its effects to this day.

Lloyd Marcus was saved by a good father who did more for race relations than a hundred bills introduced in Congress.

It isn't the tea party conservatives who are racists and make race relations worse. It's liberal politicians who couldn't care less about minorities except when they can buy their votes on election day.
