Pope Francis often described the Church as a "field hospital" for sick people. Thinking along those lines, I see Bishop Athanasius Schneider as a doctor who correctly diagnoses the plague invading the Church when so many "doctors" claim the patient is healthy. He brought up five wounds in his December 18th meeting with Pope Leo and described what he sees as the prescription for healing. One of those wounds dealt with the Traditional Latin Mass and the situation with the SSPX.

Is Your Novus Ordo Mass the One Described by Bishop Schneider? I'm Betting Not!
I don't go to daily Mass these days. One of the things that impacted my decision was a description of a wedding a priest friend attended at a very conservative Lutheran parish. The groom, a widower and a Catholic was marrying a Lutheran woman whose branch of Lutheranism is the most conservative, even more than the Missouri Synod Lutherans. She wanted to be married in her church by her minister. They got permission from the bishop so all was in order.

O Lord Give Us Holy Priests! Preserve us from the wolves supporting AUSCP
Examine this picture carefully. It's from the website of the Association of U.S. Catholic Priests (AUSCP) who just ended their annual confab in San Antonio on the very fashionable River Walk. See any roman collars? See many young men? The theme was "Sex and Spirituality Pastoral Considerations." I had to laugh when I saw that, but not surprised. Dissident and heretical clergy always seem to have one thing on their minds: sex, sex, and more sex.

Of Puffery and Pulchritude: White-washing the Bad Bishops!
Have you ever noticed that diocesan "newspapers" are filled with puffery and pulchritude to make the diocese and the bishop look good? I usually glance at the headlines of The Arlington Catholic Herald and, every now and then, read an article, but for the most part, it's not worth the time. A standing joke with our previous bishop was to count how many of his photos graced the pages. Well, after all, the diocesan paper is the Catholic version of the celebrity fan magazine. Make the bishop look good.

How Can You Identify a Bad Bishop? Sometimes it's Easy!
Unfortunately, we have numerous examples of bad bishops in this country. That sad situation leads me to shake my head ruefully while reading the quote attributed to St. John Chrysostom:
Gustavo García-Siller
The road to Hell is paved with the bones of priests and monks, and the skulls of bishops are the lamp posts that light the path.
Two weeks ago I did a post about the Archbishop of San Antonio, Gustavo García-Siller, persecuting a good Catholic family and essentially trying to destroy their retreat center (their livelihood) by banning any diocesan events there. It led to groups violating their contractual obligations, an obvious serious moral violation against the eighth commandment, especially with no evidence of wrongdoing. The archbishop violated every Catholic admonition on how to handle disagreements. If you have a mind to, you can read the original post:
Is there no limit on the injustice bishops are willing to inflict on faithful Catholics?

An Important Message from Archbishop Vigano to the People of the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C.
Written by Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò

| Editor's comment: False Shepherd Wilton Gregory, walks in the footsteps of his predecessors, McCarrick and Wuerl. Wake up, Catholics. Don't follow these hirelings. Gregory was identified by Dr. Richard Sipe as a homosexual. He can't be trusted? |

Signs of a Bad Bishop? He Treats Jesus Like a Frisbee and Denies that Mass is about "Worshiping Jesus."

Bishop Bransfield's Immoral Shenanigans Keep Coming!
As for disinviting Bransfield to the bishops' meeting, I will happily make a list of others who should be deep-sixed starting with Wuerl, Cupich, and any bishop who promotes the homosexual lifestyle by supporting Fr James Martin and other heretics of his ilk. It's high time the good guys formed another group like the orthodox nuns did years ago. Stop meeting with these wolves to scandalize the sheep.

Break the Silence: - Archbishop Viganò's Third Letter
![]() |
| Elephant? What elephant? |
+ Carlo Maria Viganò
19 Ottobre 2018
Archbishop Viganò's third letter is a must-read for anyone who wants to understand the crisis in the Church! After all, you can't solve a problem unless you understand it. And the archbishop minces no words about the central problem, the elephant in the room, being covered with flowery wallpaper by the liars and sycophants at the Vatican.

The Longstanding Rotten Stench of Cardinal McCarrick
We can pray that this latest scandal of a high level cleric will make those in charge accountable, but it's not likely. Read the article and see how McCarrick, the pharisee, told his priests they would be responsible for their own defense if accused of abuse knowing full well that he was absolutely guilty. So he had all the resources of his diocese to defend himself, but any innocent priest facing a false accusation from a money-grubbing liar with a grudge would be on his own. Great spiritual father, eh?

Do You Know Your Bishop?
INTRODUCTION: Jesus said, "By your fruits you shall know them." That doesn't sound like an admonition to live in blind acceptance of everything people say and do because "who am I to judge?" We are, in fact, called by Christ to evaluate and judge the fruits of those around us so we can make sound moral decisions.

Fulfillment of the Prophecy that "False Teachers" will Arise Among Us!
For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions. (2 Timothy 4:3)Peter also blew the warning trumpet when he wrote:

W.C. Fields in a Roman Collar: Will the real Bishop Lynch Please Stand Up!
| Bishop Lynch or WCF? |
![]() |
| W.C. Fields or BL? |
Lynch is notorious for his homosexual proclivities, his enabling Terri Schiavo's murder, his suppression of Eucharistic Adoration in his diocese, and his steering millions in diocesan contracts to his buddies. And now he has the audacity to blame Catholics for a Muslim terrorist attack. The man has no shame!
That Lynch is retiring is a blessing, that he should have been removed as a wolf in sheep's clothing is obvious, that he will continue ministering in retirement is probable.
If I were in that diocese I would urge our adult children to keep our grandchildren as far away from him as possible. It appears to me that Lynch illustrates the same attitude toward people that Fields did when he said, "Never give a sucker an even break." To the Florida "shepherd," the people in the pews were just patsies providing him income to pay off lawsuits for homosexual predator priests whose activities he covered up and to keep him living in the style to which he'd become accustomed.
Good-bye, Bishop Lynch. Please have the decency to go quietly into the night where you might consider repenting of all the damage you've done to Holy Mother Church. You've embarrassed us long enough. (N.B. Apologies to W.C. Fields)
