Next Doctor of the Church: St. John of Avila

He was born in 1500 and influenced both St. Teresa of Avila and St. John of the Cross. He re-evangelized the Andalusia section of southern Spain which had suffered so long under the Moors. In Spain, St. John is honored as the patron of priests. Read more here....
