Funny that all the people justifying draconian lockdowns and other damaging policies “if we can save one life” are now silent. They couldn’t care less about Fauci’s policies destroying so many businesses and throwing so many people into poverty and even driving people to suicide. They justified it all because “one death was too many.” And of course all the deaths were Trump’s fault including, presumably, the ones caused by Andrew Cuomo in New York. But the rising death toll from the “vaccines” is apparently okay with them. I wonder if they can spell hypocrisy.

The Kentucky Derby, the first of the three Triple Crown races, is the first Saturday in May. Here's a great Catholic joke to tell friends at a Derby party.
The Priest, the Protestant & the Horse Races
One day while he was at the track playing the ponies and all but losing his shirt, Mitch, a Protestant, noticed a Catholic priest step out onto the track and bless the forehead of one of the horses lining up for the 4th race. Lo and behold, that horse – quite a long shot – won the race! Before the next race, as the horses began lining up, Mitch watched with interest as the old priest once again stepped onto the track. Sure enough, as the horses for the 5th race came to the starting gate, the priest made a blessing on the forehead of one of the horses. Mitch made a beeline for a betting window and placed a small bet on the horse blessed by the priest. Again, even though it was another long shot, the horse the priest had blessed won the race!
Mitch collected his winnings and anxiously waited to see which horse the priest would bless for the 6th race. The priest again blessed a horse, another long shot. Mitch bet big on it, and it won! Mitch was elated!
As the races
continued, the priest kept blessing long shot horses and each one ended up finishing first. By and by, Mitch was pulling in some serious money. By the
last race, he knew his wildest dreams were going to come true. He made a quick
dash to the ATM, withdrew all his savings, and awaited the priest's blessing
that would tell him which horse to bet on.
True to his pattern, the priest stepped onto the track for the last race and blessed the forehead of an old racehorse that was the longest shot of the day. Mitch also observed the priest blessing the eyes, ears, and hooves of the old nag.
With all those blessings Mitch knew he had a winner and bet every cent he owned on the old horse. He then watched dumbfounded as it come in dead last then dropped dead at the finish line. Mitch, in a state of shock, made his way down to the track area where the priest was.
Confronting the priest
he demanded, “Father! What happened?! All day long you blessed horses and they
all won! Then in the last race, the horse you blessed lost by a Kentucky mile.
Now, thanks to you, I've lost every cent of my savings – all of it!”
The wise old priest sadly nodded with sympathy. “Son,” he said, “that's one of the problems with you Protestants. You can't tell the difference between a simple blessing and the Last Rites.”

Choose one or the other: this or...
City Journal published an article by Theodore Dalrymple (pen name of Dr Anthony Daniels) titled When Islam Breaks Down. Dalrymple said, “No Muslim in an Islamic society would dare to suggest that the Quran was not divinely dictated through the mouth of the Prophet but rather was a compilation of a charismatic man’s words, and incorporating, with no very great originality, Judaic, Christian, and Zoroastrian elements.” He is correct. No Muslim in an Islamic society would dare say that because he would be killed.

Guest Post: The Pope's Call for Prayer and the Upcoming Vatican Health Conference Featuring Anti-Life Speakers
Pope Francis’ call to prayerfully end the pandemic has a hidden agenda

Pope Francis announced Wednesday that the Marian Shrines of the world will lead the prayers of the Rosary during the month of May to invoke the Virgin Mary's aid in ending the COVID pandemic.
"The initiative will involve in a special way all shrines in the world to pray for the end of the pandemic," the Pontifical Council for Promoting New Evangelization said in a press release April 21.

Falsehood always bears the stench of the evil one. Furthermore, it complicates and confuses. Truth, on the other hand, is as clear and transparent as a freshly washed pane of glass. Lucifer, the "light bearer," who made himself all darkness by his rebellion against God, now delights in spreading that darkness and tripping up souls with a cacophony of confusion.
Such is the situation we find ourselves in with the many conflicting voices expressing opinions about the morality of taking the Covid "vaccine." The first confusion is calling this gene therapy a "vaccine." It's not, as many medical professionals point out. But that's not the subject of this post.
The subject is a question: Is it moral to take the "vaccine?"

|God appearing as Love.|
Mother Teresa said, “Where there is love, there is God.” I saw God at the local pet shop Friday night where I stopped after work to buy food for our family’s pet rabbits.
The aisle with rabbit food also has food for guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils and ferrets, plus cages and various products for each type of animal. I was looking at the bunny treats when God quietly slipped into the aisle and stood beside me. He appeared as Love.
An old woman shuffled into the aisle. She had close cropped grey hair in no particular style, old Bermuda shorts, a T-shirt and a dingy pink sweater. The right side of her face was darkened with some sort of bumps on her skin and she had very few remaining teeth.
We were beside each other, kind of shoulder to shoulder but facing opposite directions since she was looking at hamster cages on the other side of the aisle. I looked at her and she looked at me. We both smiled. Then I went on trying to choose pet food for the rabbits.
Suddenly a boy about age 7 raced into the aisle. He was excited and trying to make up his mind which of the 3 hamster cages he liked best. One cage had a circular staircase with a box at the top for the hamster to sit in, another had an attached ball so the little thing could run to its heart’s delight and the third had several tunnels and tiny box houses on top.

saved Spain from Communism.
Franco won the Spanish Civil War against the Communist Left who have forever viciously attacked him and his memory, even to the point where Cancel Culture decided that Franco must not lie in peace - his dead body had to be dug up and laid to rest somewhere else out of the memory of the Spanish people whom "he saved from the worst fate that could befall any nation in the 20th century - conquest by Communism" and all its evil horrors.
"We must divest ourselves of the vilifying lies of the Left and their political poison. Franco was not a tyrant, not an oppressor, and certainly no totalitarian. He may have been too severe toward his enemies, but he never enslaved his own people. He had a cool head, great intelligence and formidable reserves of courage and will, a lion's heart and a cold-steel backbone. He thought war was a hateful business, was never a fascist nor had the smallest belief in any kind of Utopia or system." - Dr Warren Carroll, The Last Crusade
Did you ever see The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch? Professor Pausch taught at Carnegie Mellon University. The “last lecture” is a presentation of what you would want to say if you knew it was your last lecture. But for Pausch it really was. A young husband and father, he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He wrote a book in the last few months of his life for the benefit of his children. I don’t agree with everything in the book (he was pro contraception, for example), but it’s worth reading. Impending death focuses the mind.
As we left Texas for home this morning after visiting our son and his family, I wondered. Will this be our last visit? Only God knows. Wouldn’t it be illuminating to ask ourselves often: will this be...the last day of my life? My last birthday, or Christmas, or the last Mass I ever celebrate or rosary I ever pray? Will this be the last book I’ll ever read or the last letter I ever write? Will this be the last time I speak to or hug this grandchild or the last conversation Will this be the last post I write or the last comment I ever leave. Some day the answer will be yes. Will My guardian angel approve of those lasts? And what will the last moment of life find me doing? Loving Jesus I hope and letting Him love me. May my last words be, “My Jesus I trust in You!”

You’re not! St. Paul reminds us that, “None of us lives as his own master and none of us dies as his own master....Both in life and death we are the Lord’s.”
If you want to lead a happy life love God and His commandments. Sin is the cause of all unhappiness. Anyone who lives with the Lord as Master recognize that nothing “just happens.” Everything, both joy and sorrow are gifts that offer us an opportunity to grow in holiness. Are you sick? What an invitation to grow in patience and in love of neighbor by offering your sufferings for others. Are you healthy? What an opportunity to use your good health to serve and perform the duties of your state in life with energy! Are you treated with contempt? What an opportunity to unite your humiliations with Christ on the cross. Are you honored? What an opportunity to express your gratitude to Jesus Christ publicly and attribute all your success to HIm.
As St. Paul says, “Both in life and death we are the Lord’s. That is why Christ died and came to life again that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.” Have faith and trust in the Lord and His love for you. “Perfect love casts out fear,” even fear of a virus that 99.8% of people survive. Death is inevitable and even that sad prospect is an opportunity to serve to the very end.
My Jesus, I trust in you.

Isn’t it time to stop acting like the Wuhan virus is a death sentence? There are a number of effective protocols that nip the virus in the bud. It’s a sad thing to think that “experts” and the mainstream media deliberately withheld information about Covid treatment because deaths from the disease served the agenda of terrifying the populace into accepting draconian, tyrannical control. If you have another explanation let’s hear it. Dr. Fauci knew in 2005 that HCQ was an effective treatment against corona viruses, so why did we only hear about wearing masks and social distancing? Why not information about strategies to enhance the immune system, like taking Vitamin D? Most of the deaths are occurring in people who are seriously deficient! Let’s face it. The capacity for greedy and evil men (generic term meaning men and women) to willingly sacrifice human life to the BIG agenda fills history books and the Wuhan strategy proved to be incredibly successful at increasing government control by terror! Expect a second wave that mirrors the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security’s pandemic game, SPARS 2025-2028. Since the first “game” worked so well, why would they not try a repeat?
If you can’t trust the government “experts” there are others out there whom you can trust. Check out these treatments.

...the types and images of the past prefigured the perfect and eternal reality which has now been revealed. The presence of what is epresented makes the symbol obsolete: when the king appears in person no one pays reverence to his statue. How far the symbol falls short of the reality is seen from the fact that the symbolic Passover celebrated the brief life of the firstborn of the Jews, whereas the real Passover celebrates the eternal life of all mankind. It is a small gain to escape death for a short time, only to die soon afterward; it is a very different thing to escape death altogether as we do through the sacrifice of Christ, our Passover. If you love Jesus and His commands, you have nothing to fear. The law of God is for our good like the instruction manual for your car. Would you try to run your car on vinegar? The law of God is the instruction manual for a happy life, and death is the door that leads to paradise if you use that manual and follow its instructions!

St. Peter tells us to stay awake! And his letters could be personal messages to us they are so relevant to our own time. So prick up your ears and listen to this passage from the First Letter of St. Peter:
"Do not be surprised, beloved, that a trial by fire is occurring in your midst.

MORE AND MORE MEDICAL DOCTORS ARE SPEAKING OUT ABOUT THE CHINESE VIRUS PROPAGANDA! WHEN WILL WE LISTEN TO THE HONEST EXPERTS INSTEAD OF SNAKE OIL SALESMEN LIkE DR. FAUCI?
I thought Jill Biden looked pretty tacky on Election day. She and Kamala seemed to be going for the Easter Egg basket look. And the matching blue gloves -- mmm...not a good choice in my opinion. What's wrong with black leather gloves? They're always in fashion!

As for women priests, that would indicate approval for same-sex marriage - lesbianism in this case - because theologically the Bride of Christ is the Church therefore priests, as alter Christus, are married to the Church. If women are priests they would be married to the Church which would indicate lesbianism.
Additionally, married men and women as priests would indicate approval of polygamy since a priest as a married man would be married to his wife and to the Church. And a woman priest married to a man and to the Church, or a woman priest married to another woman and the Church, would indicate approval of poly fidelity.
Furthermore, transgender people would be in an uproar to get equal rights to the Priesthood of Christ. A transgender woman would really be a male priest; a transgender man, who is really a woman, married to a lesbian could be a priest. The result of that would be to remake the Bride of Christ into a gender neutral entity so that no parties would be offended by the Church being cisgender.
In addition, all of this would mean that the laity would likewise be able to participate in such unions.
A lot of people are focused on the number of deaths from the Chinese virus. They fulminate over anyone who won't join them in their handwringing hysteria accusing them of being hateful, calloused and not caring if people die. You would think there were bodies piling up in the streets.

Every Good Friday my husband and I read Dr. Barbet's description of the passion from A Doctor at Calvary. The meditation is based on his expertise as a surgeon and a student of the Shroud of Turin. It's not too late to enter into this moving description of Jesus' sufferings. You can find it here and you will never look at the crucifix in the same way.
Lord Jesus, our crucified Savior, have mercy on us.
Redeemer of the world, have mercy on us.
By Msgr. Athanasius Schneider, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Saint Mary in Astana
