Guest Post: When an Abortionist becomes a Proselytizer of Catholics

From the looks of it, this woman may be meeting
her Maker soon. Please join me in praying for her
conversion and the conversion of Church leaders
who give her a platform to scandalize the faithful.
Editor's note:

Talk about turning the faith on its head. We live in times when the orthodox (like the dubia cardinals) are sent into the desert and the Herods, Pilates, and pharisees become the honored teachers of the faithful.

Jesus predicted it when he said a time would come when good was called evil and evil good, when people would prefer to have their ears tickled than to hear the truth.  I'm not sure we realized the reality that the people he meant occupied the highest level of the Church. Lord, have mercy on us. Christ, hear us!

Birds of a Feather Flock Together...and That Includes Vultures and Other Birds of Prey...

...who are preying on the flock rather than praying for them. And so it goes.

Dissenting Jesuit James Martin is speaking at the D.C. priests' symposium, an alumni event for Theological College in October. If I were an alumnus priest I'd be skipping this event. But hey, who am I to judge?

The Jesuits are, to say the least, an odd flock these days, reference their superior "baptizing" himself as "officially the first Superior Jesuit in Buddhist Baptism.” And that is coming from the Jesuits' own website which includes this disturbing rainbow image re-posted with an article at OnePeterFive.

Another Suspicious Death LInked to the Clintons

Haiti Official Who Exposed The Clinton Foundation Is Found Dead

An Anniversary from Hell

St. Thomas Aquinas College in Santa Paula, California
Today is the 50th anniversary of the Land O' Lakes Conference.  Isn't Land O' Lakes a kind of butter? Not that Land O' Lakes although that's what I thought of when I first heard about the infamous event years ago.

No, the Land O' Lakes conference was organized by Holy Cross Father Theodore Hesburgh who was the president of Notre Dame University. It's purpose? To revamp the idea of a Catholic University and bring it into the "modern world."

Actually it was more about being accepted by the world and getting a hand in Uncle Sam's generous pockets. The way to do that was to separate the idea of Catholic education from Catholic authority which their statement did.

Camp Kreitzer's Apiary is in the Shenandoah County News

We're doing our part for the environment. Honeybees are a major pollinator of crops, not to mention flowers.

Check out the article in the Mountain Courier here. And be nice to honeybees. Don't put chemicals on your law. Dandelions and white clover are big sources of nectar for honeybees. Besides, they're wildflowers and beautiful. And all those chemicals aren't good for you either! They run off into the water supply. Spend all that lawn service money on the kids and grandkids!

Guest Post: Cardinal Meisner, Pope Benedict and the Leaky Bark of Peter

Mayday, mayday -- calling all shepherds who will
"resist the dictatorship of the spirit of the age."
Benedict XVI: The Bark of Peter is Sinking

By David Martin

The Church continues to lament the passing of Cardinal Meisner of Cologne, who was an outspoken opponent of Amoris Laetita which breaks with tradition by allowing divorced and civilly remarried people to receive Communion. Surprisingly, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI sent a letter of tribute to be read at Meisner's funeral on July 15. In the letter he says:

A Great Quote from Archbishop Chaput: "Heroes not Haters!"

St. John the Baptist, conscience-
pricker extraordinaire!
Commenting on the recent nasty article in La Civilita titled EVANGELICAL FUNDAMENTALISM AND CATHOLIC INTEGRALISM IN THE USA: A SURPRISING ECUMENISM, Archbishop Chaput of Philadelphia made this statement:
Catholics are called to treat all persons with charity and justice. That includes those who hate what we believe. It demands a conversion of heart. It demands patience, courage and humility. We need to shed any self-righteousness. But charity and justice can’t be separated from truth. For Christians, Scripture is the Word of God, the revelation of God’s truth – and there’s no way to soften or detour around the substance of Romans 1:18-32, or any of the other biblical calls to sexual integrity and virtuous conduct. Trying to do so demeans what Christians have always claimed to believe. It reduces us to useful tools of those who would smother the faith that so many other Christians have suffered, and are now suffering, to fully witness.

Dr. Mengele, call your office! Doctors in U.K. say Charlie Gard Case is Hopeless....Why?

....because he will have no "quality of life."

Now why does that remind me of the German doctors in the Third Reich who ran the T4 euthanasia program? You know, that was the program:
to kill incurably ill, physically or mentally disabled, emotionally distraught, and elderly people. Adolf Hitler initiated this program in 1939, and, while it was officially discontinued in 1941, killings continued covertly until the military defeat of Nazi Germany in 1945. (Source)

Monty Python on Steroids!

Women's sports are finished -- at least for women. Where are the feminists?

The Latest Absurd Manifestations of Transgenderism

My Friend "Joe" the Bullhorn

Which instrument are you in
the Church Militant orchestra?
I used to sidewalk counsel at an abortion mill with a man whose style offended a lot of folks. He was
loud and could be abrasive. When he had the bullhorn, some of the folks on the prayer line got uneasy. "What will he say next?" He was especially hard on the men bringing the women to the abortion mill. I loved him! But, I admit, sometimes he even made me cringe.

You know what? He saved a lot of babies. God used him with his abrasive style to reach the hearts of some who were impervious to the velvet glove. I particularly remember the day we saved a little Muslim baby, the sixth child in her family. It was my abrasive friend who did the counseling when the couple pulled into the driveway.

I thought of him this morning while reading comments on the post I wrote yesterday about Catholic bloggers who condemn other bloggers for condemning.

The Latest on Charlie Gard

Five hour neurologist exam by expert from New York. Keep praying!

The Humorous Situation of Catholic Bloggers who Condemn Bloggers for Condemning

There's an old saying that if you are pointing a finger at someone, there are three fingers pointing back at you. It's true; try it.

And so I'm always amused to find Catholics in the blogosphere who consider themselves kind and luving as they condemn others "for condemning."

Fr. Z and Mike Voris are regular targets as well as anyone who dares to criticize the faux mercy of Pope Francis and the disastrous impact he is having on Church teachings.

St. Telemachus: The Difference One Courageous Soul Can Make!

Where Would You be in the Roman Coliseum in 404 AD?
Give us the grace, Lord, to have
the courage of St. Telemachus.

Would you be sitting in the "sky box" among the pampered and perfumed elite of Rome waiting to watch the "show" begin with excited anticipation?

Would you be in the crowd out for a day of bread and circuses to watch the "match" between the gladiators anticipating the second act when the Chrisitians faced the beasts?

Would you be among the Roman soldiers or those in charge of the animals "just doing their jobs" as they bring the prisoners into the arena and release the hungry animals?

Would you be among the Christians singing and praising God as they faced death?

Or would you be like the lone monk, Telemachus who arriving in a strange city, followed the crowd to the coliseum, and was so horrified when the gladiators began fighting that he leaped over the wall into the arena, stepped between them, and cried out three times, "In the name of Christ, forbear!" The outraged crowd stoned him to death.

24 Congressmen Voted to Fund Transgender Surgery for the Military! Here's the Dirty Two Dozen.

How delusional is this? Would you
want to be in a communal shower with him?
The 24 Congressmen who voted to use OUR MONEY to fund transgender surgery in the military should all be sent packing including Virginia rep Barbara Comstock. They are faux conservatives. If they don't have the brains to know when a man is a man and a woman is a woman, they sure don't belong making decisions that impact our lives.

Not only that, but surgery does not solve the problems of these gender-confused folks. The suicide rate among the transgendered is 20% higher than the non-transgendered. Dr. Paul McHugh, former head of psychiatry at Johns Hopkins, calls transgender feelings a disorder of assumption similar to that experienced by emaciated anorexics who consider themselves obese and literally starve themselves to death. It's a mental disorder! According to an article at CNS News:

On Grammar and The Abolition of Man

What is education doing
to our children?
I just finished reading C.S. Lewis' The Abolition of Man, and, it illustrates what I was saying in my last post -- words matter. Not only that, but the way words are put together, i.e., grammar, matters as well. The saying, "The pen is mightier than the sword." cuts two ways. The pen can be used to spread the truth and goodness as Dante does in The Divine Comedy or the pen can be used to spread the lie and evil like the works of Marx and Hitler.

Lewis' book is about education and how relativism leads to the "abolition of man" making him little more than a social experiment of his "conditioners." It begins with a discussion of an unnamed work Lewis calls the Green Book which is a "little book on English intended for 'boys and girls in the upper forms of schools.'" Lewis doesn't name the book or the authors because, "I do not want to pillory two modest practising (sic) school-masters who were doing the best they knew." At the same time he decries the evils he sees in the "actual tendency of their work."

He particularly emphasizes a "momentous" paragraph where the authors attribute statements of judgment to personal feelings when they write, "This confusion is continually present in language as we use it. We appear to be saying something very important about something: and actually we are only saying something about our own feelings."

Words Matter!

Fr. Martin's Grammar Problem

Liars know it for sure. Remember when Bill Clinton played games with words. He "did not have sex with that woman." Of course, it all depends on your definition of sex. And then there's the definition of the word "is." Liars like to play with word meanings and that's what Robert Greving illustrates in his article. And no matter how many liars like Fr. James Martin try to dance on the head of a pin the words will still mean what they say -- whether it's truth or a lie.

The homosexual attraction is disordered. It is not "differently ordered" any more than a man's attraction to his dog or to using asphyxiation or BDSM to get it on. Call things what they are and don't play the word games so popular with the Left who never met an idea they couldn't warp and twist. Words have power. Let's make sure the words we use advance truth!

Pediatric Expert, Dr. Paul Byrne, Defends Charlie Gard's Right to Treatment - #IAmCharlieGard

Charlie Gard in a system of death

In case the link isn't hot on your server: http://www.renewamerica.com/columns/byrne/170712

This is an important article and it doesn't just relate to Charlie Gard and his parents! It's all about brainwashing the public into thinking the "experts" know what they're talking about and should be able to make decisions for you. The doctors say keeping Charlie alive is "inhuman." What's inhuman is deciding that a sick child isn't worth the trouble to treat.

Teaching Values Through Storytelling!

From a master story-teller
“We human beings are story-tellers, we pass on our values through the stories we tell. This is particularly true of Catholics, who get their identity through their histories, which they see as salvation history linking them to the saving actions of Christ. So, for Catholics, doing history – passing on the values by telling stories – is a pastoral imperative. We must look where we have been in order to know where we are going.”
                          Edmund Campion, Australian Catholic Lives

Jesus was a storyteller. His stories related truths by describing relationships with family (The Prodigal Son), nature (the barren fig tree), authority figures (the talents, the unjust steward, and the master's dinner), and neighbors (Dives and Lazarus and the lost coin).

"Novel" Thoughts after Adoration: and the Second Letter of St. Peter

What novel are you living in?
"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness. . . ." A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens
Sometimes I think we are living in a novel. Dickens' story of the French Revolution certainly applies to our age of "enlightened" evil that recognizes 50 or 60 alternative "genders" and promotes the murder of the vulnerable while championing the rights of trees and bugs. Calling our time the "age of foolishness" hardly encompasses the idiocy.

Really? Teenager Gets Belligerent with Police and Demands they Return Her Bong!

This story and the accompanying video (See below.) have troubling implications for the future. This kid, Logan Huysman, is 18 and a legal adult.  She obviously thinks she can do whatever she pleases without consequences. (Although perhaps she was high on drugs at the time.) Can you imagine our country in her hands? I hope she gets a few days in jail and a big dose of community service where she'll be exposed to people in need. I wonder if she's ever done a lick of work in her life.

The bruises on her arms are no surprise considering she is apparently anemic (because of her drug use, perhaps?) and violently resisted the officers who were trying to get her under control. Be sure to read the police statement on the website.

I give the officers credit. They were calm, professional, and simply persisted in asking for her cooperation.

Guest Post: 'Born-Again' Theology: Sin and be Saved

Visit of Nicodemus to Christ by American
artist, John La Farge, 1835-1919
By David Martin

Of the various heretical sects that have prowled the earth in these latter times in defiance of the One True Church, perhaps the most adamant and hypocritical has been the "Born-Again Christian" movement, a Protestant sect which perverts Christ's teaching that "a man must be born again" to be saved. (John 3:3)

In the Gospel, Jesus tells Nicodemus, "Amen, amen, I say to thee, unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God." (John 3:5) This verse of scripture refers specifically to the sacrament of baptism in the Catholic Church. Jesus says we must be born again through baptism if we want to be saved. Note that the application of water is indispensable, without which there is no being born again.

The born-again sect detracts from baptism and the institutionalized Church. Its objective is to prevent man from being reborn into Christ, that is, to prevent his baptism into the Catholic Church. Accordingly, it instigates rebellion against the vows made at baptism that we remain allegiant to the Church of Rome.

Thought for Monday from Fr. Tom: Do Hormones Rule?

"Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence at Boston Public Library!
Hey, scandalize our kids with our tax dollars!
As long as a person gives higher priority to his hormonal orientation than to sacred discipline offered by God’s call to holiness, a compulsive urge to embrace the agenda of the Culture of Desecration and Death will dominate his life.

Witness how blasphemy, lust, greed, vulgarity, vitriol and violence have become normalized, and even normative, in the lives of those who allege that the arousal and appeasement of resentments and addictions should be the norm for authentic freedom.

Fr. Tom Collins

And as evidence that lust and vulgarity "have become normalized," check out the Boston Public Library's insanity. The library inflicted on children the perverted group, the "sisters of perpetual indulgence", i.e., drag queens who mock the Catholic Church, to read stories to preschoolers. Here's the announcement published by the library:

Criticize Him All You Want: #TrumpHasaHeart!

Can you imagine Bill Clinton or Barack Obama doing this? Not hardly. Obama wanted the marines to hold an umbrella to keep him from getting his widdle head wet. Despite all his faults Trump is a person who has a heart for those who protect and assist him. I loved this!

The Dark Side of the Moon

Polish hero, General Sikorski
When I mention "The Dark Side of the Moon" to most people younger than me they assume immediately I am referring to a rock band, but what I have in mind is far from entertainment of any kind.  It is the title of a book published in London in 1946, with a preface written by T.S. Eliot.  The real author was to have been Polish General Wladyslaw Sikorski, who died unexpectedly in a plane crash off the coast of Gibraltar on July 4, 1943.

The General had collected many personal testimonies of Poles who had been subjected to the most unthinkable horrors at the hands of the Russians who took them captive and used them as slave labor and worse.  It is widely speculated that the crash was in fact not an accident, but rather an assassination.  As long as their beloved leader was alive, the hopes of the Polish army held captive by the Russians was also alive and well and the possibility of having them transfer this loyalty to the Russians against the Germans didn't stand a chance.  Without his inspiration and the dream of regaining their country, they would fight anyone, alongside anyone, simply to survive.

The Venom of Sin: “Penises are simply part of a woman’s body”

Anything goes
Heterosexual people know that a real woman will never have a penis and a real man would never be able to bear a child. This type of rubbish-think is the fantasy world of the transgender agenda where God is absent therefore “anything goes”.

Zinnia Jones is a man from Orlando who thinks he’s a woman and therefore calls himself “Zinnia”, a transgender woman who leads other people into sin. Zinnia thinks that straight men should want to have sex with men who dress as women because genitals are “only flesh” and all you heterosexual guys out there need to deal with it and just get over it. The number of straight men looking only for a biological female mate to marry and have children with is artificially inflated by social stigma and biases because Zinnia knows that straight men want to have sex with her but refuse to ever admit it and cover it with transphobia. Zinnia repeatedly teaches that penises are simply part of a woman’s body and for straight men to desire only biological women should be an outlier and marginal position.

#DraintheVaticanSwamp

Edward Pentin exposes the drug-fueled homosexual cabal at the Vatican. God bless him for not being afraid to earn the enmity of top Vatican officials.

And which of the Vatican officials is sitting on the rock thinking of ways to rid himself of this troublesome Vatican reporter?

Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio?
Cardinal Walter Kasper?
Cardinal Lorenzo Baldisseri?
Fr. James Martin?
Any number of others at the Vatican!

Well...as I used to tell my children: "Just because someone is wearing a roman collar doesn't mean he's telling you the truth. It's more true today than 25 years ago when my children were teenagers. Now I'm repeating that advice to my older grandchildren. Test the spirits. And if it stinks, don't eat it!

Corruption at the Vatican: Drain the Swamp!

“Lower than the Rome of the Borgias”

High-ranking priest caught in cocaine-fueled gay orgy in Vatican apartment

Why report bad news? Because ignorance is not bliss! Corruption among high level churchmen is NOTHING NEW. Even Judas, one of Christ's nearest and dearest, committed treason against Our Lord. Who knows whether greed was his only deadly sin?

So never let things like this scandal damage your faith. Let it, instead, fuel your desire to pray and sacrifice for Holy Mother Church, especially for the clergy who are under multiple assaults from the demons.

We all have guardian angels. We also, no doubt, have at least one devil assigned to tempt us. (Read The Screwtape Letters.) The cartoon with the devil whispering in one ear and an angel whispering in the other is truer than you imagine.

A Reflection from Fr. Tom: Are you abiding in one serious unrepented sin?

Is this your message to Jesus Christ?
Below is a reflection I am having printed in next Sunday’s bulletin. I am ever fearful of accepting Satan’s standing offer to pastors – Satan will grant a pastor a flourishing and vibrant parish, provided each of his parishioners be allowed to abide in one serious unrepented sin.

In Christ,

Fr. Tom Collins
-----------------------------------------------------------
One hundred years ago at Fatima, Our Blessed Mother warned of the seriousness of the sin of  Catholics, who refused or failed to participate with reverence, attention and devotion at Sunday Mass. The Third of the Ten Commandment directs us to keep holy the Lord’s Day. For those who are members of the Catholic Church, obedience to this requires, unless there is a serious reason preventing a person from joining in this worship, participation each week at Sunday Mass. Since God is the perfection of integrity, communion with Him and others through regular reverent worship of Him is essential for growing in integrity, both as individuals and as a community. Failure to worship Him gradually leads to spiritual malnutrition and the perversion of one’s soul, mind, body and relationships. Thus it is not surprising that the decline in regular Sunday worship in our nation has been paralleled by a concomitant disintegration of the moral fabric of our nation.

Another Chance for Charlie! Will the Court Respect Parents' Rights?

Keep praying!

Charlie Gard’s mom: Our baby is ‘not in pain and suffering’

Sacrilege: It's Real and It's Serious! Don't Compound Your Sins by Committing It.

By Fr. Tom Collins

It was once observed that, while a fly can irritate a king, it cannot offend a king. Only a person can offend another person. This simple observation is filled with profound wisdom, a wisdom that has been seriously eclipsed in the consciousness of many Catholics in the Western world. This eclipse has been manifested to me numerous times in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. As appreciation of the importance of this sacrament in the spiritual life has been lost to many Catholics, even those who do regularly confess their sins often indicate a rather superficial understanding of the actual sanctifying dynamic of this sacrament.

Beth Wore Glasses

I grew up in Beaumont, Texas and lived in a neighborhood full of kids who were told what we almost never hear anymore: "Get out of this house and GO PLAY!" Sometimes the mothers would get together for coffee at the kitchen table of one or the other's house and while some were closer than others, no doubt there was a fair amount of gossip among all of them that was bound to have occurred on any given day. And for sure one of their favorite things to talk about was the fact Ann King was pregnant AGAIN. The King's lived next door to my family and their oldest, a daughter named Beth, was my age and a favorite playmate of mine for jacks and baby dolls and coloring books.

Congressman Steve Scalise Back in the ICU

Trump is so mean to us! Wah!
While the media wring their hands over the Trump wrestling video claiming they are all in danger of violence because of it, REAL victim of leftwing violence, Steve Scalise, is back in the ICU.

The liberal media never miss an opportunity to stir up hatred against conservatives with their fake news, and then hold pity parties for themselves when Trump sends them to the back of the press room.

Beware the Charmer and Always Go Slowly in a New Relationship!

When I was teaching fourth grade at St. Louis School in Alexandria, I had a student whose young aunt was dating the "ideal" man who came to Church with her and put on all the masks that made him look like he would be the ideal husband. I used to see them together in Church. She dated and married him.

Within weeks of the marriage she was abused. They later separated and the marriage annulled, but what an ordeal for her and her family!

I immediately thought of my student and her aunt when I read this article. Folks, teach your daughters and granddaughters to beware (and your sons too.) See how your boyfriend treats his parents, especially his mother.

Dubia Cardinal Joachim Meisner Dies at 83

"Welcome home, good and faithful servant." Rest in peace.

Sad to say my first thought when I read this was "How many cardinals and bishops in the Church will be thinking, 'One down, three to go.'" like the tweeter who commented on the Steve Scalise shooting, "One down, 216 to go?" And, of course, priests and laity as well. Can't you just imagine Fr. Martin high-fiving with St. Jeannine Gramick?

Please join me in offering the rosary today for the repose of the soul of Cardinal Meisner. The pope learned of his death "with great sadness." Well...I'd like to think that's true. On the other hand, wasn't Cardinal Meisner one of the "rigid," inflexible pharisees, a hypocrite who cared too much about rules and lacked mercy? Pope Francis certainly didn't respect him (or the other cardinals of the Dubia) enough to respond to the Dubia or the April letter asking for a papal audience. For a pope who talks about transparency and openness, he is slow to act like he means it.

Guest Post: Exorcism Claim about Francis Prompts Vatican Investigation

Jesus' temptation in the wilderness was real.
The new head of the Jesuits, Fr Arturo Sosa Abascal, recently called the devil a symbol of evil. Later his spokesman said the comment was taken out of context and that Sosa "believes what the Church teaches." Well, maybe and maybe not. We have plenty of evidence that many Church leaders these days don't believe at all what the Church teaches. In any case, read this article on exorcism and think about what you believe about the Father of Lies. And remember that Jesus' public ministry was immediately preceded by his meeting the devil (no symbol) in the wilderness and being tempted.  That is no fairy story, myth, or parable. And to prove it, immediately following the temptation, angels were sent to minister to Him. The devil is for real!

Really...should we be surprised? The Pontifical Academy for Life's new member roundup includes a number of anti-life advocates. One is pro-abortion, another is pro-euthanasia. Consider the statement on Baby Charlie Gard in that light. It completely ignores the fact that parents, not doctors or courts, have the right to make choices for their children (Obviously we aren't talking about parents who have their rights removed because they abuse or neglect their children.)

Fr. Tom Sends an Email to a Friend on the Signs of the Times

Path of the August solar eclipse. Will the event
trigger an earthquake and west coast tsunami?
Below is an email Fr. Tom Collins sent to a friend about the possible chastisement coming to the U.S. which could involve a West Coast earthquake and tsunami. Hysterical nonsense? Not hardly. Last summer FEMA and other state and federal agencies conducted a "drill" to prepare for a possible 9.0 magnitude earthquake along the Cascadia subduction zone off the coast of Washington, Oregon. and California. Check out the path of the August solar eclipse. Did that get your attention? Pray the rosary daily for our poor country. Oh...and any of my northern California friends want to come for a visit in August?

As for the staff at CNN? They are a bunch of agenda-driven liberals who aren't interested in the truth and will happily fill the airways with fake news if it 1. increases their ratings, 2. promotes their liberal agenda, 3. trashes Trump, or 4. discredits Christians and conservatives. I hope you'll pass on James O'Keefe's videos. Let's expose CNN as the #CNNFakeNewsNetwork they are!

The Bishops' Bureaucracy: That Hideous Strength!

Michael Hichborn is one of the most honest Catholics I know -- totally committed to the faith. He is a wonderful husband and father and a real crusader for the truth. Contrast that with the USCCB (United States Conference of Catholic Bishops) and their commitment, not to Almighty God, but to the Almighty Dollar! One of the best things that could happen to the Church in the U.S. is the demolition of the USCCB!
