....And I would suggest that you avoid the staffers who fled the sinking ship and handed out rose-colored glasses to cover up their own culpability in the CM fiasco. Neither Christine Niles or Dave Gordon deserve your support. They participated in the cover-up and now pose as persecuted reformers. Prudence dictates caution!
Facing defamation lawsuit, Church Militant confronts prospect of shutting down
I don't rejoice over the troubles fellow Catholics experience, but when those Catholics became enemies of other Catholics, members of the family so to speak, the writing was on the wall.
"A man's enemies shall be they of his own household." Matt 10:36
And that's exactly what CM became -- enemies of fellow brothers and sisters in the faith. They treated allies, like Michael Matt, Chris Ferrara, Matt Gaspers, Louie Verrecchio, and other traditional Catholics with unbridled contempt. Voris and company turned from faith defenders into rabid dogs attacking anyone and everyone not them. If you want a fuller picture look at some of the CM posts on our sidebar. Some of their staff were liars and grifters!
And so, Church Militant has reaped the whirlwind by their own actions. Any money you give them at this point will end up in the pockets of lawyers and litigants. Give it to the poor! Pray for these folks with true charity, but don't reward them for all the evil they've done persecuting and slandering others often based on almost no evidence or manufactured evidence from so-called, non-credible whistle-blowers. In the end, liars never prosper!
They're reaping what they sowed. My only charitable prayer for them is that they learn from their downfall, especially Christine Niles. Otherwise, I'm delighted but with the sad knowledge that this is what happened to all of them who were so vicious to others....that in the end they destroyed themselves.
ReplyDeleteI pray that this judgement will be the cause for Niles and Voris’ repentance. Nothing less than a public apology should be accepted and they need to stay away from apostolates permanently.
ReplyDeleteI kicked them to the curb years ago - along with a myriad of other "Catholic" sites.
ReplyDeleteI did the same.
DeleteJust like the largely, fixed income evangelicals of the 1980s who fell for Jim Baker, Bob Tilton, Oral Roberts and a dozen or so other TV “evangelists”, the Catholics who fell for CM are seeing ZERO return on their investment. I am not gloating and I truly feel sorry for everyone who was duped by Voris, Niles and company. The moral of the story here is to stay away from laymen sites that not only turn Catholicism into tabloid trash but also, constantly demand your money. Lay people have no business profiting off The Church.
ReplyDeleteYou link to the Archodiocese of Baltimore "catholic" paper that promotes sodomy. Sure there's much rejoicing in Baltimore where Lori inseminated by Hickey (along w/his twin bro Knestout) reigns. And before him Edwin O'Brien presided while the catholic governor O'Malley led the successful campaign to legalize sodomite marriage in Maryland. Card O'Brien references NY in his letter to O'Malley where Card Dolan was out of state while the KofC voted to legalize sodomite marriage there under Catholic Cuomo (but it's the Republicans who lied to him)--laying the groundwork for the national law. Yeah, Voris is gone and so is Miqueli--but the sodomites still reign. Sorry but I ain't rejoicing with Mudville. I pray for Voris whom I consider a victim as much as Miqueli and the rest of us who have been cut off from the Faith and almost any hope of heaven. [We have unlearned Christ: Having our understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their hearts. 19 Who despairing, have given themselves up to lasciviousness, unto the working of all uncleanness, unto covetousness." Ephesians 4]

Miqueli was only one among a number of priests implicated in New York's homosexual network, which reportedly also involved O'Brien, former rector of St. Joseph's Seminary in Dunwoodie in the 1990s, who later served as archbishop for the Military Services. He served as Grand Master of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem from 2011–2019.

The article appeared a number of places. Not sure what your point is. Quoting an article doesn't mean one recommends the source where it's carried. BTW, If Voris is a "victim" he is reaping poetic justice for his victimization of others. Happy New Year!
