Will the Mainstream Media Change? Is It Even Possible?

Will you miss this Biden cabinet pick?

My friend, Dexter Duggan who writes for The Wanderer and his Substack page, Sunrise Sunset, posted an interesting article about the LA Times. Check it out!

Earthquake-like waves of Trump's win shake up LA Times, too

Here's how the article begins:

PHOENIX — On November 13, Fox News posted an article headlined: “Los Angeles Times owner announces paper will have a new editorial board soon so 'all voices are heard'.” It cited a post at X by Times owner Patrick Soon-Shiong that said in part: “I will work towards making our paper and media fair and balanced so that all voices are heard and we can respectfully exchange every American’s view ..from left to right to the center. Coming soon. A new Editorial Board. Trust in media is critical for a strong democracy.”

Despite being despised by dominant media, Donald Trump had just scored a strong presidential-election victory that suggested these media had lost touch with their audiences again.

I wrote a front-page story overnight from November 13-14 for this week’s Wanderer (story printed below) noting the owner’s pledge of a new editorial board — a development with wide implications that quickly took wing and sprouted new angles. [Read more...

Did the drive-by media, who did all they could to defeat Trump, get a message on election night? Do they realize now that they've lost half the country to their woke, biased, whirling dervish attack on all things normal, family-friendly, and unperverted? Are they even capable of changing?

Will you miss this Biden cabinet pick?

The positions of some of Trump's cabinet picks are deplorable. Robert F. Kennedy, a Catholic, is completely pro-abortion. What kind of "health" is it for an unborn baby to face a paid serial killer to suck out his or her brains? Abortion will ultimately bring this country down. But we have a reprieve to pray and work for repentance and conversion.

I was speaking to a friend yesterday who said his brother volunteered at the Republican convention in Milwaukee. His brother described the multitude of young people there filled with enthusiasm -- wholesome young people who want what normal people have always wanted: an environment where they can own a home, raise a family, worship without persecution, and enjoy playing and praying together.

You can hate Trump all you want, but the horizon is brighter than it's been in four years and the winds of change are blowing. Is he perfect? Far from it! But he offers a reprieve from the Washington insanity where sodomites flaunt their lifestyles and the DOJ persecutes pro-lifers and ignores hate crimes against pregnancy help centers and churches.

If you are serious about helping our poor country, pray the rosary daily. Our Lady is our great help who will lead us all straight to her Son, the Word, the Truth, and the Life. We need to do politics from our knees.

Sweet Jesus, have mercy on our poor country.
