The pope's body was hardly cold before Cardinal Re began pre-conclave meetings. Is that even respectful? Fr. Murray brings up additional issues about the pope's legacy that I didn't include in my post earlier today, particularly Francis' attack on marriage and family. Watch it!
We need a new direction! Instead of confusion and chaos we need stability and respect for the faith and the authority of the college of cardinals. (Stop with the synod nonsense already!)
Francis was a tyrant. We don't need another. Fr. Murray is a voice of reason as is Cardinal Zen. Many of Francis' actions need to be "rolled back" or "reversed." We need to go back to embracing the fullness of the faith. Please, cardinal electors, give us a pope who will reaffirm the faith, not another "progressive" tyrant who wants to remake the Church in his own image and likeness.
Pray for the conclave!
What does the Pope actually do? Nothing. He safeguards nothing. Local teachers safeguard doctrine.

ReplyDeleteThe Church was not to die with Peter. Therefore, his official rank and dignity and powers were to be handed on his successors from generation to generation. In the same way, successors to a civil office acquire all the powers attached to the office…
ReplyDeleteThe Pope, Bishop of Rome, the lawful successor of Peter, who is the Vicar of Christ on earth, and the visible Head of the Church. To him, in blessed Peter, full power has been given by Our Lord Jesus Christ to tend, rule and govern the Universal Church. A bishop is supreme in his diocese, but he is subject in all things to the Pope, who appoints him.
" The Pope is ‘independent’ of every temporal sovereign and of every spiritual power. He is responsible only to God. So, then, if anyone says that the Roman Pontiff has merely an office of supervision and guidance, and the full supreme power of jurisdiction over the whole Church, and this not only in matters of faith and morals, but also in those which concern the discipline and government of the Church dispersed throughout the whole world, or that he has only the principal part, but not the absolute fullness of this supreme power; or that this power of his is not ordinary and immediate both over all and each of the Churches and over all and each of the pastors and faithful: let him be anathema."
~ The First Vatican Council, 18 July 1870
This is the teaching of the Catholic truth, and no one can depart from it without endangering his faith and salvation.
St. Anselm: “Where Peter is, there’s the Church.”
As the heretic Melancthon wrote to his Catholic mother: '‘The Protestant is the best faith to live in, but the Catholic Faith is the best one to die in.”
.......Blessed Mother, look not upon our sinfulness or upon the infidelity of many Catholics who do not accept the teaching of thy Son, but upon the Church which is spotless Bride of thy Son, so that we do not get the leader we deserve, but a Holy Father who will guide the Church for the honor and glory of thy Son! Amen.
Regarding your Melancthon quote, I oppose to it a quote of Cardinal Cajetan saying: "Catholicism is great if you're celibate or gay, but if you want a hot wife you should go Lutheran."
DeleteCan you provide a source for the quote from Cardinal Cajetan?
DeleteSeems to me the Cajetan "quote" is someone pulling your pinata.
ReplyDeleteLOL! That's why I asked for the source.
