Officers Wlliam Palmer and Joseph Hionas saved the life of an overdose victim at the ferry terminal on Staten Island in 2017. |
Have you seen this positive story? Probably not!
How many positive stories do you see about police officers? I certainly don't see many and often have to go searching for the ones I DO see.
Police officers as a group are heroes. They put their lives on the line every day protecting our communities. And what's the reward? Getting called pigs and now being blinded by high-powered lazers (Where do rioters get the money for those, eh?), injured by bricks, stones and other projectiles, fireworks, molotov cocktails... even shot and murdered. How many police officers wives kiss them in the morning wondering if they'll make it home for dinner?
Since the "defund the police" insanity got started, crime and violence are up astronomically, especially in major cities where we watch rioting and violence every night on the news. Makes sense doesn't it? Vandals and rioters burn your city, so defund and shut down your police department.
Police officers save lives! Most are husbands and wives with families. This bodycam footage shows Florida police officers saving a man presumed to have overdosed. Within minutes of administering Narcam, the man revived. How much of this training will be eliminated by the "defund the police" nonsense?
President Trump spoke about Operation Legend on July 22nd, a project of the Justice Department working together with state and local law enforcement to address the increasing violence in our cities. With him in the East Room of the White House was the mother of the little 4-year-old boy for whom the operation is named, LeGend Powell who was killed by a stray bullet while sleeping in his home. His mom is fully behind Operation Legend!
