Is this the face of domestic terrorism? |
After the murder of United Healthcare CEO, Brian Thompson tens of thousands of Satan's sidekicks began dancing on Thompson's dead body and rejoicing over the evil done to him.
"Within seconds of the news breaking, people online began celebrating. A Facebook post by UnitedHealthcare about the CEO's passing was met with over 23,000 laughing emojis before it was taken down. "Health insurance companies are parasites siphoning blood money from the sick, dying and injured,” one user posted. “I'm only surprised it hasn't happened sooner.” [Source from one who was among those celebrating]
What kind of people do that? And why?
Taylor Lorenz, former columnist for the Washington Post and technical contributor to the New York Times, made a shocking statement after the murder writing, "And people wonder why we want these executives dead." She quickly backpedaled saying, well...really...she didn't mean anyone should murder them. She was just expressing the cumulative feeling of many who hate insurance companies for putting lids on reimbursement. So, hey, let's kill all those insurance executives and close down the insurance companies. That will help the situation eh?
Words mean something! That kind of irresponsible talk encourages violence, especially mentally ill folks who take all the talk about the coming apocalypse of the Trump presidency seriously. I expect to see more assassination attempts going forward.
It isn't Christians (you know those of us described as "domestic terrorists" excoriated as "haters" by the likes of the Southern Poverty Law Center) who celebrate murder and mayhem. It's folks like those in the driveby media who justified the burning, looting, and killing by the Antifa and Black Lives Matter hoodlums. You know, the "mostly peaceful" rioters who demolished so many of our cities! The clip below looks like a joke with the major fire in the background. But hey, those riots that caused billions in damages were "mostly peaceful." And the people killed by the rioters? Collateral damage I suppose.
So how should Christians respond to this kind of thing? The gospel is clear. "Love your enemies; do good to those that hate you."
May God protect us from chaos and its aftermath!
And may we, by the grace of God and our prayers and penance, bring many to heavenly glory.
Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make our hearts like unto Thine.
Our Lady, Queen of Peace, pray for us.
