A few hours ago, a Youtube video on unusual recent solar activity was released. Astronomers are baffled by what is happening and concerned about how this anomaly could trigger major natural disasters on earth.
In view of the 1917 Miracle of the Sun at Fatima, indicating that the chastisement for unrepented sins would be triggered by the sun, it should be noted that the earth has experienced several direct hits by CEM's ( the odds of a direct hit is about 1/1,000,000,000,000). These direct hits, not human carbon emissions, are the main cause of global disasters and climate changes. And recent CEM's and magnetic holes in the sun indicate that a complete reversal in the sun's magnetic field may soon occur.
Also check out the Dzhanibekov effect, which indicates the real possibility that the earth could unexpectedly go through a sudden 180 degree shift in its axis.
Sadly, after more than a century, the message of Fatima and its call to authentic repentance are still largely ignored even by many Catholics.
God have mercy on us!
Fr. Tom
At the same time I receive this message from Fr. Tom, I was watching Fr. David Nix's talk at the recent Roman Forum sponsored by LifeSiteNews. Fr. Nix spoke about Fatima and the meaning of Mary's words, "In the end my Immaculate Heart will triumph. He posited two theories of what Mary meant by "in the end" with regard to the end of the world.
In option A, Fr. Nix looked at the seven ages of the Church as described byVenerable Bartholomew Holzhauser, a holy priest of the 17th century who founded the Bartholomites as a secular order of priests to renew Catholic lay life and promote seminary education. The order died out in the 18th century. You can read about his theory of the seven ages of the Church here, but Fr. Nix gave a brief explanation:
First Age: Apostolic time up to the persecution of Nero
Second Age: The persecution of Nero to Constantine.
Third Age: Constantine to Charlemagne
Fourth Age: Middle Ages time of peace up to the Protestant Revolution
Fifth Age: Protestant Revolution to modern times (17th c. to 20th c.), overturning the sacraments [Most of the stages lasted several hundred years.] We are at the end of the fifth age, a time "when everything seems lost and paralyzed."
Sixth Age: Will be a time of great restoration. Those destined to aid in the restoration of the Church will, according to the apparitions of Our Lady of Good Success in Quito, will show "great strength of will, constancy, valor, and trust in God."
Seventh Age: Rise of the Antichrist who will reign for three and a half years.
Most Catholics who discuss this believe option A that the end times are not imminent. Those, a minority who believe option B is accurate, interpret the seven ages to say the end of the world is near. Fr. Nix stresses the point that no one needs to believe in or accept private revelations for salvation. And his conference was certainly not gloom and doom. It was a call to be ready every minute. Whether the end of the world is imminent or not, the end for many of us is. Will I see the restoration of the Church? It's possible. Father told a story about Padre Pio being asked by a family if they would see the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. He told the parents, no they would not see it, but their children (born in the early 1950s) would.
One of the most interesting quotes was one from the apparitions of La Sallette, that the Church would see "two worm-ridden popes."
"You live in the most thrilling times of all Church history," Fr. Nix said. I was born in 1947 so if any of this is true, I may live to see it. I'm not sure whether to be "thrilled" since Our Lady at Fatima and Akita seemed to predict that the epoch between the fifth and sixth age will involve nuclear war. Although Padre Pio predicted a different disaster, a meteorite striking the earth.
The last coincidence of this post is that Fr. Nix mentioned Cardinal Manning. I recently did a series on his statements about the end times. You can read them here.
Now let me say that none of us should be terrified and if that's what talking about the end times does, it would be better not to think about it. Just love God and "do what you please" as St. Alphonsus says. If we trust in God and His Providence, there is no need to fear. "Stay in grace and pray your rosary," Fr. Nix advises. Amen to that. If you aren't praying the daily rosary, make that your new year's resolution!
Will the chastisement come from war? Will it come from the heavens? We have ignored and blasphemed against the Son, the Light of the Word. Would not punishment from a solar event, from our world's light, be appropriate? Only God knows, but we can reduce the punishment by responding to Our Lady's messages. She is the Queen of Peace. God does not want us to suffer. He sends His Mother to warn us and draw us out of rebellion and back to fidelity. will we listen?
Finally, I recommend Fr. David Nix. This short talk is well worth your time. And I would also recommend subscribing to his website.
