Did you know that the Aurora theater attacker skipped the movie theater closest to his apartment? He also passed up the theater that attracted the largest crowds. What did he choose? The only theater in the area showing the Dark Knight that banned guns. Did that influence his choice? We may never know, but the same selection bias is demonstrated in many mass shootings.
