Wreaths Across America: Remembering the Fallen

What a lovely tradition: to honor those who have given their lives for their country. Whether you agree with our involvement in any particular war, honoring the dead is a corporal work of mercy which can also be a spiritual work if prayer is added. Think how much it must comfort the families left behind to know their loved ones are not forgotten.

Remember the Fallen

A wonderful veteran in our parish spends Memorial Day weekend on the Woodstock overpass at Int. 81 playing patriotic music and waving a huge American flag. Dressed in camouflage, he stands his vigil hour after hour honoring his fallen brothers and sisters. Thanks, Art, for reminding us what semper fidelis means!
