Time to Impeach Some Judges!

Indira Talwani, Empress
I'm sick and tired of activist judges who legislate from the bench. Who do they think they are? And what gives them the right to overrule hundreds of ELECTED officials? Where is their constitutional authority to overrule Congress?

Federal Judge Blocks New Law Defunding Planned Parenthood

A federal judge on Monday extended a block on a provision in President Donald Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” that aimed to strip Medicaid funding from Planned Parenthood.
The ruling ensures continued taxpayer funding for the nation’s largest abortion company, prompting criticism from those who argue no public dollars should support organizations killing babies in abortions.
U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani, an Obama appointee, partially granted Planned Parenthood’s request for a preliminary injunction, halting enforcement of the funding ban against Planned Parenthood. The decision follows a temporary restraining order issued July 7, which Talwani reaffirmed after initially providing no legal reasoning, a move that drew sharp rebuke from pro-life groups and Republican lawmakers.

Both houses of Congress pass a bill and one, ONE unelected federal judge blocks part of it? Really? Who made Talwani empress of the United States?

Congress has the power to impeach federal judges. It's high time they took action against these tyrants who legislate from the bench. Let's start with Indira Talwani!

  2. And why is it that PP and all these other organizations think they have a right to continue to receive federal funding?

  3. Im proud to state that I was a personal friend of that late, great, Phyllis Schlafly. Among her many excellent books was “The Supremacists” which was a thoroughly referenced history of judicial supremacy, at the expense of the law, and references to articles of Congress which give them the power to limit what judges can and can’t interfere with. The problem with activist judges can be squashed immediately if Congress would do their duty and enforce the US Constitution. The likelihood of that happening…. Zero. And that’s why I’m
    A monarchist.

  4. First - defunding is only for ONE year: "The Senate version of President Donald Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” narrowly passed on Tuesday with a provision included that would prohibit federal Medicaid funding for any health care services provided by Planned Parenthood for one year, after Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough allowed the cuts to remain in the legislation. The provision initially sought to “defund” Planned Parenthood for 10 years, but the timing was reduced to one year prior to MacDonough’s ruling."

WHILE Planned Parenthood sues, as, of course, everyone knew they would, judge blocked law applying to planned parenthoods that DON'T provide abortion or who wouldn't be affected under the law anyway because they receive less than $800k: "Judge Talwani ruled on Monday that affiliates like the one in Utah that do not exceed the $800,000 revenue threshold should continue to receive Medicaid funding while the lawsuit makes its way through the courts. And she said that affiliates that are in states where abortion is illegal, and thus do not provide the procedure, should continue to receive Medicaid reimbursements as well."
