Lunacy Rules: "Conservatives" Mainstream Sodomy-Promoter Fr. James Martin, S.J.

We truly do live in the era of diabolical disorientation and, daily, there's plenty of evidence illustrating it. What should we think when a supposedly conservative host at a supposedly conservative Catholic website, sits down in a friendly interview, an almost fawning interview, with the man who is arguably the lead proponent for legitimizing sodomy in the Church! That's what happened a week ago when J.D. Flynn of The Pillar sat down with Fr. James Martin, S.J.

John Henry Westen has a great video about it, well worth watching:

We know that the devil can appear as an angel of light. Martin is articulate, charismatic to some, and he sings the siren song like a diva. Judging from comments on The Pillar's website presumably conservative enthusiastically ate up the puff piece with thick frosting. The beginning introduction by Flynn was so fawning I actually felt nauseated. I listened to as much of the interview as I could stomach.

What's going on in "conservative" Catholic minds? I could hardly believe it when I heard the Napa Institute was involved with the Eucharistic procession with Martin carrying the monstrance. When I saw the photos of the procession I actually felt physically ill. It made me wonder how many of Napa's millionaires are closet homosexuals.

Martin says he doesn't want to be polarizing. Do you believe that? From my observation the man loves being a celebrity. He even once left comments on my insignificant little blog defending himself. He had to be researching his name online and obviously couldn't tolerate being criticized. There were ultimately 48 comments on that post. Fr. Martin left just two talking about how uncharitable we were. This is a man whose uncharity extends to coddling sins that will send the perpetrators to hell. That is the ultimate lack of charity!

You can check out the post and comments if you are so inclined. Here's the beginning of the article with a few of the 48 comments including Martin's:
Fr. James Martin, S.J.: A Shot Across the Vatican's Bow

The video below (https://youtu.be/ALx-eolC1FI?si=xLQTnuOSL72cVRo6) is so dishonest it's breathtaking and can only be seen as a shot across the bow of Vatican authority. Fr. James Martin is a prime example of the lying Jesuit of which, unhappily, there are many today. As the culture editor of America Magazine he continues the liberalism and dissent of former ousted editor, Fr. Thomas Reese. His own personal liberalism is shown in spades by an article he wrote promoting homosexuals in the priesthood as well as this video about the nuns that misrepresents the Vatican action. (Father conflates Rome's limited action against the 1500 member LCWR with all the sisters in the United Sisters who do not belong to the LCWR.)

In the video, he also distorts Church history stating that Vatican II wanted the sisters "out in the world" and out of their habits which is simply untrue. While he cites documents by name he gives no examples from the texts to support his statements. He says the Church called the nuns to wear the "every day dress" of modern women which is a direct lie. Perfectae Caritatis called, not for modern dress, but for habits that are "simple and modest...poor and becoming." Does that sound like business suits and pearls? Fr. Martin also presents a litany of sisters he considers exemplary that includes some of the most infamous dissenters in the Church. Let's take a look at some of his sister heroines.

Maria May 9, 2012 at 3:14 PM Mary Anne: You have done a magnificent job of exposing the truth. "Fr. Jim"--(we don't call priests by their last names anymore, do we?) won't be happy until sodomy is made the eighth Sacrament and all our Churches are vandalized. Once accomplished, he will grimace and tell us that this is the work of the Holy Spirit. Toward that end, he and his pals at America Mag, will use anyone as tools to further this end. Hence, the alliance with, and the obsequious pandering to, these "Sisters" who subscribe to the heretical notions shared by he and the boys at America Mag. Martin is technically no longer the "culture Editor", though, as I like to say, it is not for nothing that he was made so. He recently stepped down. He and and confreres are working day and night to establish their homosexual kingdom. Trust me, they will stop at NOTHING in an effort to have their own way; however, God may have other ideas: http://youtu.be/v5yeMgvdo_EReply

Your uncharity in that last comment is absolutely shocking. Questioning my vocation as a Jesuit is beyond the boundaries of any sense of Christian charity whatsoever.ReplyDelete

Well, Father, maybe you can explain for me and Maria why Jesuit colleges love to feature the scandalous V-monologues which is a lesbian play and why they have pride groups, "queer" film fests, drag shows, etc. ad nauseum. It certainly does seem there is an inordinate attraction to all things homosexual among the Jesuits.

The reality is that the Jesuits are guilty of major scandal misleading and destroying the faith of the young. Statistics show that young people who attend Catholic colleges are more likely to stop practicing the faith than those who attend secular schools.

Just look at Georgetown featuring Kathleen Sebelius as a graduation speaker. We can always count on the Jesuits for another scandal.

I'm happy to say, however that I know one Jesuit who is holy and courageous. He is also ostracized. ReplyDelete

James Martin May 9, 2012 at 5:34 PM

It's one thing to critique Jesuit colleges for those things; it's another for you to attack publicly my vocation. It's just shocking. I would never question your vocation, and I would expect that a Christian would always treat someone the way that he or she would wish to be treated. Surely that's that kind of charity is least we can do for one another. It's frankly just stupefying, and I could barely believe that a Christian would treat anyone that way.
Martin claims not to deviate from Catholic doctrine He told Flynn he "colors within the lines." Is that true? Are his rainbow crayons used to support Catholic doctrine? No. His words are often careful so he can pretend to support orthodoxy, but it's a semantic game. The words are completely contradicted by his actions. He doesn't just preach the love of homosexuals which is something we are all called to. He tells the world to love their sin, to accept their behavior, and he's working to change Church teaching just like Fr. Charlie Curran did back when I was in college and he was busy leading the dissent against Humanae Vitae.

Curran preached his heresy for decades before he was finally ejected and refused permission to teach at Catholic colleges. He worked to change Catholic doctrine on sexual morality. Martin carries on Curran's poisonous legacy. He urges homosexuals living in sodomy to kiss each other at the sign of peace at Mass. He blesses and praises those in fake "marriages" or living in active sodomy. He is, in fact, the icon for normalizing a sin that cries to heaven for vengeance. He works, like Curran did to change Church doctrine on sexual morality.

Scripture is very clear that in the end times, love will grow cold and most of the faithful will be deluded by false Christs and false prophets. James Martin is one of those false prophets. His elevation is a strong indication that we are nearing the end of the end times. We need to have our eyes wide open and be on our knees in the onfessionals, at the Communion rails, and telling our beads every day. Read once again Christ's warning in Matthew 24 and let us all persevere in the true faith, that charlatans like James Martin won't delude us:
Take heed that no man seduce you:

For many will come in my name saying, I am Christ: and they will seduce many. 6And you shall hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that ye be not troubled. For these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be pestilences, and famines, and earthquakes in places: 8Now all these are the beginnings of sorrows.

9Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall put you to death: and you shall be hated by all nations for my name's sake. 10And then shall many be scandalized: and shall betray one another: and shall hate one another. 11And many false prophets shall rise, and shall seduce many. 12And because iniquity hath abounded, the charity of many shall grow cold. 13But he that shall persevere to the end, he shall be saved. 14And this gospel of the kingdom, shall be preached in the whole world, for a testimony to all nations, and then shall the consummation come....

Then if any man shall say to you: Lo here is Christ, or there, do not believe him. 24For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. 25Behold I have told it to you, beforehand.

All I can say in the light of the current lunatic approval of Martin is that, The Pillar and the Napa Institute can's be trusted. I'll probably still check them out occasionally, but with a much more critical eye. I used to warn my kids that just because someone is wearing a Roman collar it doesn't mean he's telling the truth. And just because a layman or group wears the badge of conservatism, it doesn't mean he hasn't succumbed to the lie. Scripture calls us to be watchful and discerning. We'd better be for the sake of our souls.

Come, O Holy Spirit, fill us with your gifts. Let us never be deluded by the enemy.
