End the Lockdown: "If We Can Save Even One Life...."

UPDATE: 500 Doctors Write To Trump Warning Lockdown Will Cause More Deaths
Lockdowns kill people just as surely as the coronavirus!
We've listened to the unceasing mantra for months now justifying the country-wide lockdown and economic devastation. "If we can save even one life...!"

It's particularly galling when that sentiment comes from hypocrites like Andrew Cuomo who thinks ripping full-term babies limb from limb is cause for celebration and didn't give a fig for the lives of the vulnerable elderly. How many died because he forced nursing homes to take COVID positive patients into facilities with healthy residents? Thousands in New York and thousands more in other states where governors (mostly compassionate liberals) embraced the same catastrophic policy!

Florida's governor, on the other hand, put a policy in place that transferred virus-positive patients to hospitals and only allowed patients testing negative twice in 48 hours to reenter nursing homes. (See here and here.) The Cassandras prophesied that when De Santis lifted the lockdown the number of COVID-19 cases would skyrocket. It hasn't happened.

Meanwhile, who's talking about the lockdown-related deaths? Few in the mainstream liberal lying media who only care about destroying Trump. They continue to beat the fear and panic drums over the virus. Apparently, deaths from neglect of other illnesses, depression, isolation, and despair don't count in the death toll because they don't help advance their defeat Trump in November agenda.

But studies are showing deaths from the lockdown may end up exceeding deaths from the virus. Here are just a few of the articles and studies indicating the horrible toll from locking down the country:
California Doctors Say Suicide Deaths Exceed Coronavirus FatalitiesJP Morgan Study Says Lockdowns Are Now Destroying Millions Of Livelihoods Worldwide
Anxiety From Reactions to Covid-19 Will Destroy At Least Seven Times More Years of Life Than Can Be Saved by Lockdowns

California doctors say they've seen more deaths from suicide than coronavirus since lockdowns
COVID-19 Lockdowns Could Lead to 1.4 Million More Tuberculosis Deaths
The pandemic's disruption of key health procedures could prove deadly
No Policy Can Save Lives; It Can Only Trade Lives
It's time to end the lockdowns. And if only a stupid mantra can emphasize it then I'll play the game:
"If we can save even one life, it will be worth it!"

  1. What is going on in Arlington? On this side of the Potomac, the Archdiocese of Washington says that when the churches re-open, those receiving communion on the tongue must go to the back of the line and receive last. Further they recommended that they be restricted to certain communion lines (nothing about this not being a woman EM rather than the priest).

I thought the liberals were against sending people to the back of the bus?

  2. LOL! We don't have to go to the back of the bus. Communion in the hand is recommended and many are complying. If anyone receives on the tongue, the priests sanitizes his hands. Kind of ironic considering that the hands are the greatest source of germs. When I go to the SSPX Masses the priest sanitizes his hands if he touches anyone's tongue. Otherwise it is just normal. I'm curious with the new mask wearing mandate what will happen at church. I'm calling my doctor tomorrow to talk about exemptions. And my husband has several medical issues that I think mask wearing would make more dangerous. If I can't get an exemption I'll be doing all my shopping in West Virginia wear mask wearing is recommended but not mandatory.

  3. But you think it okay that those receiving on the tongue have to wait until the end? (this is being required by the Archdiocese)

  4. Of course not, Kurt. The entire thing is ridiculous. I think the priest should treat all Communicants the same. If he touches a hand he should equally have to sanitize as if he touches the Communicant's tongue. I find the mask wearing at daily Mass totally ridiculous. People are sitting 8-10 feet apart. Why on earth should they be required to wear masks. Our governor just mandated mask wearing. I'm calling my doctor tomorrow and asking for a note exempting me because of chronic health condition I have that is no threat to anyone else, just myself.

Requiring people who are not sick to wear masks makes no sense and is against the WHO guidelines. That governors think it's their role to make these decisions is outrageous. It's clearly about power and control and not concern for the health of the community. I just signed the recall petition for our governor. Now we need recall petitions for most of the Catholic bishops in the U.S.
