I was so happy to see the announcement that St. Joseph the Worker College plans to purchase the Masonic temple in Steubenville, OH. Our granddaughter lives in Steubenville, with her husband and infant son. When we head back to Wheeling, WV to visit my husband's siblings and their families we always have the double joy of visiting our granddaughter as well. She and her little family are precious to our hearts.
When we happen to be in the area on a Sunday we usually attend the Traditional Latin Mass at St. Peter's in downtown Steubenville just a few blocks from the Masonic temple. For years, I have prayed for the temple's closure as we drove by after Mass. St. Michael certainly must have been listening. Reading the announcement that the college plans to buy the building, exorcise it, and turn it into a shrine and gathering place for the community was welcome indeed.
We are sending a contribution to the college for the project and hope you will too. Here's the link. The thought of all those college students working to transform the building into a gift from God to the city of Steubenville delights my heart. How I would love to go pound in some nails alongside them. I think my grandson-in-law may very well work on the project since he is a carpenter. He even looks like St. Joseph to me.
There is something so providential about this plan. Freemasonry has invaded the Church. How many of our bishops and cardinals are secret freemasons? Certainly the architect of the Novus Ordo, Annibale Bugnini, has a reputation of belonging to the lodge. (Read Fr. Charles Murr's book, Murder in the 33rd Degree: The Gagnon Investigation into Vatican Freemasonry) What a victory over Satan to turn that pagan temple into a shrine to the glory of God, our King.
The last function at the temple is scheduled for November and the college has until January to raise the $4 million to purchase the building. Let's all make it happen! And thanks be to God for some good news that brings joy to the heart!
