A few days ago I began rereading the novel Victoria: a Novel of 4th Generation War by William Lind under the pen name Thomas Hobbes. The blurb at Amazon describes the book saying:

And other good men and women over the next decades under succeeding monarchs of that trying English period died too: clergy like Bishop John Fisher and scores of priests including Jesuits St. Edmund Campion and St. Robert Southwell, lay priest protectors like Anne Line and Margaret Clitherow, and a host of others dragged to the “tree” at Tyburn, their personal cross, to be hanged, drawn and quartered.1
