Have You Had it With the Government Shutdown?

Join Ken Cuccinelli in asking Congress to stop paying themselves during the shutdown. Why should Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and all those other rich fat cats in Congress stop the checks to the little people while they continue feathering their own nests. What's good enough for the hoi-polloi should be good enough for them.

Check it out at Ken's website and stand with him by signing his letter to Congress.

Watch the Real Catholic and the Faux Catholic Duke it Out for Guv of VA

And if you care about the faith and the country send a donation to Ken. It will be a tough race with the liberal media and their long knives doing their best to gut Ken and his two running mates, E.W. Jackson and Mark Obenshain. They were at it before delegates had time to get home from the convention!

Sending a few prayers their way wouldn't hurt either.

Support Liberty: Sign the Petition Against the Federal Government's Mandate

Attorney General of Virginia, Ken Cuccinelli, filed a lawsuit against the federal government for their unconstitutional mandate on citizens requiring them to purchase health insurance. Ken has also initiated a petition to generate support for his efforts to stop the mandate. Ken's message follows.
Fellow Americans,

On Tuesday, March 23, 2010, President Obama signed into law a healthcare bill of historic proportions. That bill includes an individual mandate on Americans that declares that they must buy health insurance or face penalties. This overreaches the authority of Congress under the Commerce Clause and is therefore unconstitutional.

Buying health insurance can be said to be an act in commerce. However, if someone doesn’t buy insurance, they are by definition not engaging in commerce. This legislation greatly oversteps the Commerce Clause.

Please join in Virginia’s fight to overturn the individual mandate on health insurance. I ask that you indicate your support by signing the petition below. Please also forward this to your friends.

Sincerely,
Ken Cuccinelli
Attorney General of Virginia

Virginia Attorney General's Race Gets Comical

Ken Cuccinelli and Steve Shannon recently debated for the post of Attorney General of Virginia. The debate turned comical when, at the end of the debate, each candidate had the opportunity to ask the other a question. Now think about it. If you were applying a job and wanted to show your competence, wouldn't you do your homework and check out exactly what the job entailed? How hard would that be?

But Steve Shannon showed he had absolutely no idea what the job entails. All he could do was spout about "the bureaucracy" and Cuccinelli not having the experience for the job because he hasn't been a prosecutor. Well, the fact is that Shannon isn't running for prosecutor. He's running for Attorney General and he doesn't even know what the job involves. If he couldn't do his homework on the basic duties of the job he wants, what will he be in office? One more incompetent politician?
