Can we hope that the government will actually re-open?

Let's hope the obstructionists don't throw more roadblocks up to open the government. Lots of people want to travel for Thanksgiving. Right now air travel is iffy at best. I talked to one of my granddaughters who talked about a recent travel trip that ended in a five hour delay getting home. Multiply that exponentially for the biggest travel days of the year around Thankdsgiving. Note that for some reason after the six minute mark, the video repeats the speaker's statement. Pray for an end to all the nonsense.

Are the Skies Friendly (and Safe) During the Schumer Shutdown with Unpaid Air Traffic Controllers?

Larry and I don't fly for the most part. Last time in the air we traveled to Texas for a granddaughter's wedding. We'd making that trip by car, but were just too tired and decided it was fly or miss the event. It was beautiful and we were glad we went. That darling granddaughter is now expecting a little girl, her second baby after a sweet little boy, two of our precious grandchildren.

Tim Kaine's Response Illustrates the Lies and Hypocrisy of Democrats

I recently wrote to Senator Tim Kaine urging him to stop holding the American people hostage and vote for the continuing resolution to end the government shutdown. I got the following letter in reply which is obviously a form letter so filled with lies and hypocristy I just shook my head as I read it. This letter is nothing but proof of the "performance politics" practiced by the Democrats. It deserves the hook! Lies and hypocrisy bubble out of the blather. See what you think. My comments in red.

As I was sitting at the computer, my husband brought in a $400 check for me to endorse, our rebate from the state of Virginia because they had a surplus. Wow! I don't think that's ever happened before. Returning money to the taxpayers? What a thought! Can you imagine that happening with a Democrat administration? All their freebies go to illegals compliments of the raped taxpayers.

I got this MSNBC video of the GOP press conference today onYouTube. The Democrats own the shutdown. May it come back to bite them! Note the comments, obviously primarily from liberal Democrats. Many mention Trump and the Epstein files. Now we don't really know what's in those files about Trump, but we know a lot about the connection of Bill Clinton and Epstein.

We've been here before. The government shuts down amid threats of Armageddon, the national parks close, paychecks are delayed, and then the agreement is reached and everyone gets back to work with back pay. For those federal employees living pay check to pay check the Democrats are inflicting a serious problem with their hissy-fit over funding health care for millions of illegals. Hey, taxpayers, you owe it to the invaders. And besides we need their votes and if we don't deliver the goodies, they'll stop coming. And besides, our base will call for our ouster if we don't obey them and they hate ICE and love illegals even the ones who bring in fentanyl and commit violent crimes against our citizens.

The Democrats Can't Blame This One on Trump and the Republicans!

Well the government's back up or will be imminently. The Democrat bullies couldn't withstand the heat. But they showed just how despicable they are with this latest shut down. They will do anything to get their liberal agenda through no matter how many Americans it hurts. It's time to shut down these folks. Work to elect government officials who care about the country. Schumer, Pelosi, Kaine, and their buddies in the Democrat party aren't among them. It's time to boot these hoodlums out of Congress!

Did Obama Plan the Shutdown Months Ago?

My brother received this from a friend and posted it on his Facebook page. I'm re-posting here because I wonder how many people have considered these points. All of the coordinated activity for this shutdown could not have been an accident. It was, as the email says, planned well in advance of its implementation. Let's pray somebody finds the paper trail. We need another whistleblower like Edward Snowden to expose how the tyrant-in-chief and his minions planned this months ago. God help us if we don't stand up to him!

I have worked in the government on and off for 40 years. During that time I became quite familiar with requisitions, bidding, awarding contracts etc. It is a time consuming process with bean-counters and pencil-necked bureaucrats every step of the way. The simplest request takes months not days or hours. 

In less than 8 hours of the shutdown, miraculously, professionally printed 3X4 foot signs appeared all over the country in the tens of thousands saying-"this [park, facility, etc. with custom logos] closed due to government shutdown. There has not been a government shutdown in 17 years. These signs were designed, specifications were determined, signs were then requisitioned, bids were posted and vetted, government contracts were awarded. The materials were then ordered and the signs manufactured then distributed U.S. Mails or freight companies. 

This shutdown was orchestrated and planned well in advance at least 6-8 month ago. Millions of tax dollars were appropriated and spent in this process. There is a paper trail a mile long leading directly to the White House. 

People do not realize just what we are dealing with!

There's a reason Obama is endorsed by the Communist Party USA. We are dealing with a man who hates this country and is orchestrating its downfall. And he's doing a darned good job with the help of a complicit media, useful dupes, and fellow travelers. Wake up, America!

Yesterday they stormed the Lincoln Memorial, today they removed "Barry-cades" from the WW II memorial and deposited them in front of the White House. Looks like the community organizer-in-chief is getting some of his own Alinsky tactics. Couldn't happen to a more deserving tyrant!

If they do, they'll be like the mom in the check-out line whose child is nagging her for candy. She says, "No!... No!...No!... No!... No!... No!... No!..."...and then in exasperation throws the candy on the conveyor saying, "Oh, all right!"

What did she just teach the little tyrant? Hold your ground until you get what you want no matter how unreasonable or bad for you.

If the GOP caves on this, they will NEVER win another election. The Democrats have entrenched fraud and bribes in the system and they will continue to give the goodies out to their supporters while siccing the IRS, Homeland Security, etc. on their political opponents.

This is why I NEVER give to an establishment group of the GOP. They are in the business of protecting their own jobs, perks, and privileges. Congressmen buy their seats on committees with fundraising for the establishment. (Ask a GOP Congressman how much he had to raise to get his committee assignment.). The system stinks! They've sold out the babies in the womb and every other vulnerable group that can't help them. Only a rare few are worth supporting.

God help us. Our "public servants" sure won't.

Obama Holds Old Faithful Hostage!

Tourists in Yellowstone were treated to "Gestapo tactics," and held as virtual prisoners in Yellowstone National Park's lodge, but those shilling for Obama's immigration agenda were able to demonstrate on the "closed" mall. Seems it's only closed for WW II vets trying to view their monument and tourists who want to see the open air monuments like the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorials. The Park Service claims it's because the immigration demo was a first amendment affair.

Hmmm....Seems to me that the "right of the people to peaceably assemble" also covers tourists wanting to teach their children about our government and our forefathers. If a family comes to Washington, they should have the same right to "peaceably assemble" on the national mall as a group of 200 community organizers seeking amnesty for lawbreaking illegal aliens. And what do you want to bet that those who were arrested get off scot free while anybody (like priests) breaking Obama's petulant rules get the full force of the law?

Let's demand AMNESTY FOR TOURISTS NOW!

JUST IN: Obama has ordered all the geysers in Yellowstone National Park not to erupt until Republicans accede to his demand for unconditional surrender on Obamacare. In a press conference this evening, Obama spokesman Jay Carney told assembled journalists that Republicans are responsible for Old Faithful's forced furlough. "If you want to see the 'guy'ser again, you'll pay the ransom and pass the budget with full funding for Obamacare. We don't negotiate; we bloviate. Get used to it!"

Public Ignores National Park Closings

As one tweeter wrote, "Sooner or later the petulant child will realize there aren't enough Park Service employees to enforce his hissy fit." The public is stacking cones at the Badlands National Park and going in. Folks are ignoring restrictions at Mt. Rushmore. Pam Geller at Atlas Shrugged posted this article by Mike Flynn:

Can you imagine anyone so arrogant (or insane) to think he can shut down a portion of the ocean? Flynn sums it up well at the end of his article:

And tell the park service to back off. Those national parks? They belong to US! We pay for them and those clowns trying to keep us out should get pies in the face!

But there will be special subsidies for Congress and Congressional staffs and waivers for Obama's friends. The tyrant-in-chief has spoken and he's made it clear -- It's his way or the highway and THEY (the Democrats) are winning. Wow! It's the American people who lose! But the Democrats don't care as long as they make political hay. Remember the liberal's motto: A crisis is a terrible thing to waste. And they are milking this one for all it's worth.
