House Passes Permanent Ban on Taxpayer Funding of Abortion....Except

May 7 Update: See comments. A reader noted that H.R. 3 has exceptions for rape, incest, and the life of the mother, the so-called "necessary abortions" as he puts it. So H.R. 3 actually codifies taxpayer funding for these cases. Why? Did the House try to pass the bill without it or just presume exceptions had to be included? Should babies be killed for the sins of their fathers? And why should taxpayers fund abortions in the hard cases? This taints the bill seriously and certainly makes the claim of a "permanent ban on taxpayer funding of abortion" untrue. It is, as the reader commented, one of those things that "call for tears." A

“End taxpayer complicity in abortion violence”

The bill still has to pass the Senate and Obama promises a veto if it lands on his desk. It's unlikely the votes are there to override a veto. But the exercise puts the abortion extremists on record. There is no more important issue to them than requiring taxpayers to pay the hit men that kill babies. Evil is never content with committing evil. Evil demands that everyone call it good and participate in it. And there is nothing more evil than murdering the innocent. The little ones in the womb are only waiting to be born, to be welcomed into our human family. Instead, for many, it's open season. The most dangerous place in the world today is a mother's womb.  Pray for all moms considering abortion today and for their endangered little ones. You can spiritually adopt an unborn baby by praying the prayer written by Fulton Sheen: "Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I love you very much. I ask you to spare the life of [name] the unborn baby I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion." Imagine the joy of meeting that child merrily in heaven one day.
