‘Terrified': Mother, daughter say man sideswiped them before 495 stabbing rampage
I don't understand why liberals are going ballistic over the shooting of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. They weren't a bit upset about the murder of Ashli Babbitt by Capitol police officer Michael Byrd. He was awarded for killing an unarmed woman who was no threat to him. Killing a Trump supporter was a patriotic act I guess.
OPEN LETTER TO GOVERNOR ABIGAIL SPANBERGER
Dear Governor Spanberger,
Congratulations on winning the election making you our state's governor for the next four years. What a privilege that is, but even more a grave responsibility. You are the chief authority now in Virginia, and have a moral duty to exercise that authority well.
All authority comes from God and those He allows to govern are subject to Him. You have been given your authority to bless the people of our state and to advance the common good. What a tremendous opportunity if you choose to advance good rather than evil. If you fail to do that, your time in office will not be a blessing for us. Even less will it be a blessing for you.
I spent years focused on pro-life volunteering. For about twenty years I sidewalk counseled almost every week at an Alexandria abortion business located right next to Bishop Ireton High School within a stone's throw of the Eucharist. The other place I counseled for years was in Falls Church within a stone's throw of the Eucharist at St. James. Sad to say both of these Catholic locales adopted the strategy of the three monkeys. Don't look at the abortion facility, don't listen to the silent screams of the babies murdered, and say nothing. Just keep out of it following a strategy of appeasement.
Many Virginians are probably unaware of an abortion amendment that is making its way through the Virginia legislature. It allows all abortions up to birth. Do you remember when Virginia's former governor, Ralph Northam, went even beyond killing babies in the womb up to delivery? He publicly stated that after birth parents and the doctor could decide whether to kill a baby (presumably by neglect) after birth. There is no limit to the Democrats' willingness to murder people at any stage of life, from the little one in the womb to the sick and elderly near the end of life. You can read the full bill, Senate Joint Resolution 247, here. But this is the essence:
Durbin, as any pro-life Catholic (I know that should be a redundancy, but sadly it's not.) can tell you, is an abortion advocate who is "personally opposed" but thinks others should be able to murder their unborn infants at will. Of course that's the Democrats' mantra. They aren't really pro-abortion; they are "pro-choice." Well, sometimes...They aren't pro-choice for those Americans living on the border facing first hand the violence of illegal invaders. The drug cartels kill a rancher? Hey, they weren't welcoming the stranger so they deserved it.

Conservative columnist Joe Sobran used to call the Democrats the "evil party" and the Republicans the "stupid party." If you know the policies of the Democrats, it's hard to claim they aren't evil as a party. Their policies and strategies make me think of the Bolsheviks of the 1917 Russian revolution and the Committee of Public Safety during the French Revolution. Both parties engaged in a reign of terror and murdered millions of people. But their murderous activities began by instigating mob violence. Isn't that what we are seeing from the Democrat party? They encouraged and enabled the 2020 riots. Their violent rhetoric continues to encourage attacks on law enforcement personnel and MAGA supporters. It's not surprising because they have for decades championed murder of the innocent. If you can kill the baby in the womb, you can justify any evil!
My dear friend Jack Ames of Defend Life organizes a Maryland Face the Truth Tour every summer. It's a week of multiple stops each day using huge pro-life/abortion signs to expose communities to the truth about child-killing in the womb. Jack asked me to give a talk on the preliminary prep/training day about the early history of the pro-life movement. My qualifications? I'm old and started working in the pro-life movement in 1972 before Roe v. Wade. Some of the early heroes I'll be talking about directly impacted my own involvement in pro-life activism through their witness and inspiration. How much I thank God for all of them!
My husband checked the bees today. Two of our three hives were overrun with ants. Ants are interesting creatures. Not as interesting to me as the bees, and a nuisance for beekeepers, but still amazing little bugs. The first thing they do when the nest is threatened is to rescue the babies. You can see the grown up ants scurrying to carry off the eggs to safety.

It's time to turn Virginia red again and we have a chance to do that next year. There's only a one-seat Democrat majority in the House of Delegates. Sadly, the Democrats are a pathetic party who won't even protect a baby born alive after an attempted abortion and usurp the rights of parents over their minor children. I received an e-mail this morning from Sheriff Timothy Carter, who heads up the Shenandoah County Republican Committee:

Herod lives! Every day he sends out his mobs to murder the little innocent ones. His soldiers are legion. They work for the federal and state governments. They wear white lab coats and turn hospitals and clinics into killing centers running with blood. They fill prescriptions for poisonous drugs. They run lobbies and pharmaceutical firms and teach in our schools perverting the minds and hearts of the innocents' brothers and sisters.
I can never see this feast arrive without thinking of all the millions of dead babies, spiritual siblings of the Holy Innocents. We need to do everything we can to spread the truth about abortion. It's a monstrous lie to call it "reproductive health care." It's a monstrous lie to pretend it makes women free."
I've been thinking about and praying for the Red Rose Rescuers (RRR) who are in jail with draconian sentences. They were all denied the right to put on a defense of necessity that justifies breaking a minor law in order to defend life or even property. It's the reason firefighters can break down doors to enter burning buildings or a good Samaritan can trespass to rescue a child or even a pet in danger.
