On Pope Francis and His "Friendship" With Scalfari: Is the Confusion Deliberate?

The conversations between Pope Francis and his atheist journalist "friend" continue again and again to be sources of conflict with quotes that are clarified as "not quotes" and statements that are said not to reflect what the pope really said. But, it seems, the points in the quotes are seldom refuted.

Confusing eh? And is that the point? If Pope Francis owned a company called Confusion Unlimited he could be described as a very successful CEO.

With regard to the pope's relationship with Scalfari, a friend on Facebook used the following analogy about Pope Francis who, as persona Christi, is called to protect his bride, the Church. It describes his relationship with his buddy Scalfari who, as an atheist, doesn't even recognize the bride. I think the analogy is spot on!

Crime and Illegals: Watch Our for Lying Statistics!

Several thoughts:

• The Left often blends legal and illegal immigrants to make the case that we are not at risk from "immigrants." That doesn't hold water when only illegals are evaluated.
• A large number of Americans would still be alive if we protected our border from invasion. If the lives of 17 students at a Parkland high school are important enough for the Left to demand gun control, shouldn't the murders of many more Americans by illegals spark a call by the Left for border control? Can you spell hypocrisy?
• If the victims of illegals' crimes were yourself or your mom, dad, son, daughter, brother, sister what would you do? Would you want to live in a "sanctuary city?"

The "Family" Feud between James Hitchcock and The Wanderer: Why, Dr. HItchcock?

Hey, we may share the same last name, but
I don't get what's going on either.
It reminds me of a movie I made once.

As I wrote several months ago (Can We Disband the Circular Firing Squads?), I'm baffled by historian James Hitchcock's vendetta against The Wanderer and two of their writers, Dexter Duggan and Chris Manion (not to mention a host of others including Judie Brown of American Life League; eminent Catholic author Joe Sobran (RIP); Paul Likoudis, longtime journalist for The Wanderer (RIP); Pat Buchanan; Chris Ferrara of The Remnant; etc.).

Ferrara responded to one of Hitchock's previous attacks back in 2007 when Hitchcock's spleen apparently hit maximum inflammation. His recent book - Abortion, Religious Freedom, and Catholic Politics  is filled with errors, misquotes, and general sloppy scholarship. How sad.

David, you can't have it both ways. Are you a spokesman who's smarter than your stupid parents Or are you a widdle kid who needs protection from big, bad Laura?

You Didn't Really Believe the Kids Planned the March, Did You?

In the "secret" video below, Debbie Miller, an indoctrinator a "teacher" in the Broward County public schools, reveals exactly what was going on at the March for Our Lives. It was a setup from the beginning. And it's not about protecting the kids, it's about using the kids to ban guns and gut the second amendment. Note all the anti-gun organizations involved in organizing, doing media, arranging meetings with Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden, and donating to advance this radical agenda. Giffords is doing the PR, Southwest Airlines donated all the seats on the plane for this group of provocateurs! And at the end of the March they planned to go to the NEA building and "have hot chocolate." (Isn't that cute for all those student "leaders" who pulled off this massive protest in just a few weeks. Wow!) This teacher illustrates exactly what is happening in the public schools -- It's not education; it's indoctrination! They use kids, just like hospitals that do abortions use their preemie units to raise money. Read more here.

My grandfather, Raymond Michael Schneider was the organist at St. James Catholic Church in Lakewood, Ohio for many years. He had a well-respected mens' choir and a boys' choir as well.
