News Flash: Bill Bolling Drops out of Race for Virginia Governor

Bill Bolling pulled out of Virginia's GOP race for governor today leaving Ken Cuccinelli as Virginia's favorite son and likely nominee. The party will choose its candidate at a convention next May 18th to be held in Richmond, VA. Now is the time for all freedom loving, small government conservatives to get behind Ken and give him a boost as he heads against like Democrat opponent Terry McAuliffe. The contrast between these too couldn't be greater. Please sign up to be a delegate and while you're at it how about making a donation to Ken's campaign chest. Read more at Richard Viguerie's website.

Let us commit to turning Virginia back into a red state where voters resemble Virginia's founders like Patrick Henry and George Mason. Both Patrick Henry and George Mason opposed the Constitution because they believed it gave too much power to the federal government. They led the fight against the federalists and were primary authors of the anti-federalist papers. (Did you ever hear of those? If not, that just illustrates once more that history is written by the winners.) In retrospect, they were prophets. It was these two statesmen who demanded that the federalists include a Bill of Rights in the Constitution. They had no illusions about the nature of man and they firmly believed in the natural rights of the individual against the state. Read more about these two great men here. And if you're a Virginian, join me and many others in Richmond on may 18th. Remember Patrick Henry's address to the Virginia Convention which caused his fellow delegates to cry, "To arms! To arms!":
The battle, sir [Convention President Peyton Randolph], is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave. Besides, sir, we have no election. If we were base enough to desire it, it is now too late to retire from the contest.

Fraud Deniers -- Or How to Steal Elections...

...while accusing your opponents of racism.

The left are experts on fraud. They have institutionalized it.

In an article at American Thinker, Matthew Vadum describes the claim that there is no fraud a modern "myth":
Left-wing activists and think-tanks constantly churn out studies and reports financed by George Soros, purporting to prove that voter fraud is as unreal as Cookie Monster. They claim that those on the right want to crack down on voter fraud solely as a means of preventing the poor and minorities from voting.
"Nobody claimed that voter fraud was a myth until the last couple of years," my work colleague at Capital Research Center, Dr. Steven J. Allen, J.D., Ph.D., told me.
As Allen, who grew up amidst Alabama's dubious politics many decades ago, observes:
Everyone in politics openly discussed voter fraud for hundreds of years of American history. Politicians, political reporters, and everyone involved in politics openly discussed how widespread voter fraud was. Only when Republicans took over legislatures in states that had long been ruled by Democrats and where fraud was prevalent and began to do something about this problem did this myth emerge that voter fraud was nonexistent. Remember that the Voting Rights Act of 1965

Please Make Acts of Reparation for this Blasphemy

What you will see in the video is a sin against the First Commandment and I believe this kind of blasphemy, more than anything else, will bring God's punishment on our country. The ten commandments are in order of their importance. The first three relate to our obligations to God and the first is not to put anyone or anything before God. Blasphemy is a serious sin. Pray for all those committing this outrage against our true Messiah, Jesus Christ.

There are Saints among Us - Maria Santos Gorrostieta

Mexican mother murdered by drug gangs after pleading for her daughter's life

The story of Maria Santos Gorrostieta is harrowing and it shows a woman, like her Cristeros countrymen, willing to die fighting evil.

Here's just a little about this amazing woman:
In a statement to the public...the devout Catholic said: 'At another stage in my life, perhaps I would have resigned from what I have, my position, my responsibilities as the leader of my Tiquicheo. 'But today, no. It is not possible for me to surrender when I have three children, whom I have to educate by setting an example, and also because of the memory of the man of my life, the father of my three little ones, the one who was able to teach me the value of things and to fight for them.

'Although he is no longer with us, he continues to be the light that guides my decisions.'

She added: 'I struggle day to day to erase from my mind the images of the horror I lived, and that others who did not deserve or expect it also suffered.

'I wanted to show them my wounded, mutilated, humiliated body, because I’m not ashamed of it, because it is the product of the great misfortunes that have scarred my life, that of my children and my family.'
'Despite my own safety and that of my family,

Liberals' Rag Publishes Hit Piece on Cardinal Newman Society

Is anybody surprised that the National Catholic Reporter (aka "the fishwrap") would go after an orthodox group that urges Catholic colleges to return to their roots? A newspaper that features columns by dissenters like Sr. Joan Chittister and frequent articles by radical feminist Rosemary Ruether is an unlikely source for an unbiased article on any orthodox group. And there are no real surprises in NCR's hit piece. The article attacking the Cardinal Newman Society starts out pretending to be somewhat balanced before moving into serious attack. By the time one nears the end it is "Sic 'em, boys!":
A statement by the president of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities pulled no punches. Jesuit Father Gregory F. Lucey quoted Ex Corde Ecclesiae's call "to explore courageously the riches of Revelation and of nature so that the united endeavor of intelligence and faith will enable people to come to the full measure of their humanity."
He then added, "This exploration is not without tensions, but Jesuit institutions continuously engage in rich dialogue to further understanding and to ensure that many voices are heard.

The Cardinal Newman Society chooses not to engage in such dialogue, but instead chooses to criticize and make distorted claims against Catholic colleges, oftentimes maligning them in the process. This hardly fulfills the mission of the Cardinal Newman Society, which is to 'renew and strengthen Catholic identity.' Neither the university nor the Church is well served by such irresponsible actions."
Ah...reason itself, eh? When one considers the state of Jesuit education today

Treaty May Require Abortion

Pro-abortion advocates work to insert abortion language into every law and treaty they can. My understanding is that ratified treaties trump our national laws. So this treaty up for a vote is no joke. Call your Senators and ask them to vote no.

Vote Wednesday on Treaty that Promotes Abortion

Sounds Like One of the Biblical Plagues to Me...

....Hillary Clinton and entourage attacked by swarm of bees in Malawi.

The American Holocaust...

...an ugly part of our past, a continuous scourge on our present.

When will it end? When will we stop killing babies? The story below began in 1982, but it continues today. The bodies clog our sewers and for many their cemetery is the landfill. And just like the German people turned away from acknowledging the murder of their neighbors, Americans continue the tradition of silence and indifference. It is our shame and history will look back and ask how we could sacrifice our young on the altar of convenience and materialism. Please share this story because it's your story and my story. It's the story of pagan Rome exposing their children on the hillside. It's the story of the Aztecs sacrificing slaves and captives by ripping out their hearts and flinging the bodies down the sides of the pyramids. It's the story of the Armenian genocide when the Turks gathered up the Christians into forced marches and mowed them down along the journey. It's the story of Elizabeth's England, Danton's France, Lenin's Russia, and Calles' Mexico when the faith was outlawed and clergy were murdered for saying the Mass.

The butchers live on, but their evil can only succeed because of the silence of "good" men and women. Are we really so comfortable and conscienceless that we will do nothing for the least ones among us?

Please...at least share this with others. Don't be part of the conspiracy of silence that allows the barbarism to continue.   The American Holocaust

Putting a Human Face on Abortion: A Defense of Graphic Pictures

I've been working in the pro-life movement since 1972 and I can't count the number of times people have objected to those "disgusting" pictures. (I agree, they ARE disgusting.) What I find interesting is that many of those same people would have no trouble with the graphic pictures at the Holocaust Museum. "We must never forget!" they'd say. And I couldn't agree more. Social movements generally go nowhere until they put a human face on the victims of atrocities. Think of the powerful impact of photos showing dogs and fire hoses being used against peaceful civil rights marchers in Birmingham and Selma. It outraged the nation! Remember the photo of  the villagers in the ditch who were massacred at My Lai during the Vietnam war. That picture became a rally point for the peace movement. Photos of the execution of Blessed Miguel Pro by the Mexican tyrant Plutarco Calles, publicized to discourage the rebels, actually inspired the Cristeros in Mexico to redouble their efforts.

Graphic pictures show the reality of evil in a way that nicey-nice pictures never do. Beautiful pictures of developing babies inspire the heart to love and tenderness. Unfortunately, those who ooh and ahh over them often turn around and justify a woman's "right to choose." The little ones in life are lovely, but their murder is an abstraction. And so the victims must be moved from the theoretical and the abstract into the reality, the brutal reality, of their cold-blooded murder.

The ones who make the loudest noise against the "fanatics" who show the pictures are the people committing the atrocities. Planned Parenthood has spent millions in PR campaigns to hide the reality of abortion. Even the word has morphed into "choice." Everybody knows that "choice" means abortion. PP isn't, after all, promoting adoption. And yet by never saying what the choice is -- to kill a baby in the womb -- they pretend it's something septic and actually healthy. As if a "surgical procedure" done for social reasons can ever be about health. PP wants to keep women barefoot, ignorant, and non-pregnant. They fight every woman's right to know law to make sure mothers never see their babies on the ultrasound. Too many change their minds and make the wrong "choice."

So all you pro-lifers out there, SHOW THE GRAPHIC PICTURES WITHOUT APOLOGY! The murdered babies reflect the image of Christ in His suffering. And the next time you are in a Catholic church, meditate on that graphic image hanging over the tabernacle, the bloody body of our crucified Lord. The killers missed him in His infancy, killing the Holy Innocents instead. But we see exactly what  price He paid for our salvation when we see him  suffering the Roman method for aborting troublesome adults.
