Anyone reading this blog for awhile knows that we consider Catholic Charities, Catholic Relief Services, and the Catholic Campaign for Human Development unworthy of any support from Catholics in the pews. If you want your money  to support abortion, contraception, and Marxist community organizing just toss it in the basket for those bogus Catholic collections. (Better to burn it!) But they aren't the only groups masquerading as Catholic while undermining the faith! There are plenty of others.

Liars at the Vatican: Exposing Fr. Thomas Rosica as a Liar and Fraud!

In 2015, Fr. Thomas Rosica went after Canadian blogger David Domet  (Vox Cantoris) threatening a lawsuit because he didn't like the truth being exposed. What an avalanche of bad publicity for poor Fr. Rosica. The lawsuit threat soon disappeared, but Rosica remained at his post as papal advisor and media guru for English in the Vatican press office.

The more we learn about him, the more despicable this Vatican mouthpiece appears!

Rosica runs Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation based in Canada, but his salt is flat and his light is darkness. Let's look at a few fact about the fraud in a Roman collar from John Zmirak's article at The Stream.

Pravda USA: the National Catholic Distorter

The Conrad Hilton Foundation has awarded the dissenters' rag, the National Catholic Reporter (aka the National Catholic Distorter), a $2.3 million grant to propagandize for the dissident nuns. NCR will have no trouble finding them since they feature loads of anti-Catholic nuns as regular writers including Sr. Joan Chittister, a long-time rebel against the faith. You can be sure that the nuns publicized with this grant money won't be the Mother Teresas of the world. Nope, watch for the nuns in polyester pantsuits marching for the wetlands, riding on the bus, and demonstrating outside military installations. Don't expect religious orders like the Little Sisters of the Poor or the Sisters of Life or the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist to be given a voice. They don't fit NCR's dissident agenda.

Keep in mind that several bishops have called for NCR to drop the word "Catholic" from their name since they are anything but. The paper refused. $2.3 mil will buy a lot of Pravda-style propaganda for the dissident nuns who've made it very clear the Vatican can't tell them what to do!

Liberals' Rag Publishes Hit Piece on Cardinal Newman Society

Is anybody surprised that the National Catholic Reporter (aka "the fishwrap") would go after an orthodox group that urges Catholic colleges to return to their roots? A newspaper that features columns by dissenters like Sr. Joan Chittister and frequent articles by radical feminist Rosemary Ruether is an unlikely source for an unbiased article on any orthodox group. And there are no real surprises in NCR's hit piece. The article attacking the Cardinal Newman Society starts out pretending to be somewhat balanced before moving into serious attack. By the time one nears the end it is "Sic 'em, boys!":

A statement by the president of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities pulled no punches. Jesuit Father Gregory F. Lucey quoted Ex Corde Ecclesiae's call "to explore courageously the riches of Revelation and of nature so that the united endeavor of intelligence and faith will enable people to come to the full measure of their humanity." 

He then added, "This exploration is not without tensions, but Jesuit institutions continuously engage in rich dialogue to further understanding and to ensure that many voices are heard.

The Cardinal Newman Society chooses not to engage in such dialogue, but instead chooses to criticize and make distorted claims against Catholic colleges, oftentimes maligning them in the process. This hardly fulfills the mission of the Cardinal Newman Society, which is to 'renew and strengthen Catholic identity.' Neither the university nor the Church is well served by such irresponsible actions."

Ah...reason itself, eh? When one considers the state of Jesuit education today
