Susan G. Komen and Planned Parenthood: Partners in Keeping Women Ignorant

Over the next few months dozens of Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure events will take place all over the United States. This popular organization purports to be committed to ending breast cancer. But like so many of the pink ribbon groups, Susan G. Komen has a dark side -- namely its commitment to Planned Parenthood and to the politically correct ideology that helps hide the abortion/breast cancer connection.

In 2005 Right to Life of Indianapolis published a 29 page research report documenting the link between the Komen Foundation and Planned Parenthood state by state and affiliate by affiliate. About 40 percent of Komen state affiliates from 1998-2005 awarded grants, sometimes multiple, to Planned Parenthood which often provides information tables at the races promoting their services.

STOP Planned Parenthood reported that from April 1 2005 to March 1, 2006 Komen gave PP $711,485. While the organization claims the money is used for breast cancer screening, the 2005 report showed that during the period covered grantees REDUCED breast cancer services and INCREASED abortion services. During the 2006-2007 fiscal years PP also received hundreds of thousands of dollars. Check out the LifeSiteNews report.

It's time to get this information out. Share the report and other information with your local bishop asking him to publish it in the diocesan paper and discourage people from supporting the race for the cure. Not only is Susan G. Komen supporting Planned Parenthood, they are lying to women.

Komen Teams Up with Idaho Planned Parenthood

Rip off that pink ribbon! And don't buy pink ribbon products that support the Susan G. Komen Foundation which has linked hands with another abortion provider, Planned Parenthood of Idaho. Komen has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to the biggest abortionist in the country which makes them, as well, the biggest contributer to abortion-related breast cancer. Yes, Virginia, abortion causes breast cancer.

At the same time Komen increased their funding, PP was spending more on abortion and less on breast cancer screening programs. There are other mammography providers. Why does Komen continue to promote PP? Read more at LifeSiteNews and at previous posts on this blog. And just say no to Komen.

Catholics, be aware of bulletin board announcements in your parishes. A parishioner at St. Anthony's in Falls Church, VA sent this out today:

Please Pass this information to whom it may concern. St. Anthony publishes this organization on the Nurse’s Bulletin Board. Please make a responsible decision. This organization is not telling us the truth about Breast Cancer and Abortion and now they are partners with Planned Parenthood and the parish is helping them. Please Stop.

Is your parish/diocese supporting Susan G. Komen? If so, ask them to "PLEASE STOP!"

Planned Parenthood and Susan G. Komen: the bizarre connection

Sooooo.....Planned Parenthood has no mammogram machines and has no way to contribute to the "breast health" of women AT ALL other than writing on a slip of paper where they can go for mammograms. But Susan G. Komen is pumping money into Planned Parenthood for mammograms. Now where do you think that money is going? And why exactly is Komen giving it? The sweetheart deal between these two organizations needs some investigation.

All those women who think they are "walking for the cure" may actually be contributing to a rising rate in breast cancer because of the links between "the pill" and abortion and the disease. Planned Parenthood pollutes women's bodies.... but not only women's bodies. Estrogen is polluting the groundwater and our lakes and streams. Where is the EPA when it comes to the decimation of fish populations from estrogen poison not to mention the contamination of our milk supply? If your city gets its water from a river or lake near a sewage treatment plant you can almost guarantee that you are drinking birth control chemicals as well as an entire pharmacopia. It sure makes me glad we have a 200 foot well!

Susan G. Komen Foundation Lies to Women

Susan G. Komen's Race is coming up again in June so it's a good time to reveiw this organization's problematic relationship to the abortion/contraception industry. They claim to be "racing for the cure" but actually race straight toward the biggest abortion provider in the country, Planned Parenthood. Simultaneously they run in the opposite direction from the multitude of facts linking breast cancer to abortion and contraception. Talk about giving women a raw deal while pretending to be their champions. That's like Playboy magnate Hugh Hefner claiming to respect women for their intelligence.

Komen may be politically correct, but they are morally wrong and they are not helping women when they sweep the truth under the rug. But we're all used to cover ups and those pink ribbons are sooooo cute. Check out the facts here. Run as far away from this organization as you can.

Run Away From Susan G. Komen Foundation!

The bad news is that Susan G. Komen is still supporting Planned Parenthood and covering up the connection between abortion and breast cancer. The good news is that their contributions are down. But not far enough. Check out the LifeSiteNews article and pass the word on. Friends don't let friends race for Planned Parenthood and their cronies.

Do You Inadvertently Support Planned Parenthood and Other Pro-Abort Groups?

I got a call this week from the American Diabetes Association asking me to send out letters and collect in my neighborhood. Thanks to Life Decisions International I had the information I needed to say no. You see, I recently ordered their boycott list  which targets corporations, businesses, nonprofits, etc. that support Planned Parenthood. It's updated frequently so you can see the success of your efforts. In fact, the latest issue of the The Boycott List says, "For the first time ever, no corporations have been added." Wow! Companies are beginning to recognize that support for abortion is bad for business.

By choosing even a few companies off The Boycott List and letting them know you won't support them until they stop supporting Planned Parenthood and other abortion groups you can make a difference! Here's a sampling from Life Decisions' website. I've highlighted a few. Some may surprise you, some you may probably already know about. Now that you know, if the American Cancer Society or Easter Seals calls you for fundraising help, tell them you won't support Planned Parenthood. We're dropping our AAA membership for another auto club that doesn't help kill babies:
The Boycott List includes a section called Dishonorable Mention, which lists seemingly innocuous nonprofit organizations that are involved with Planned Parenthood or otherwise active in the Culture of Death. Among the groups included are Outward Bound West, American Automobile Association (AAA), Kaiser Permanente, Dr. Phil Foundation, Lions Clubs, American Cancer Society, Easter Seals, Boys & Girls Clubs, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Camp Fire, Girls Inc., Girl Scouts, Kiwanis Clubs, March of Dimes, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Rotary Clubs, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, The Salvation Army, YWCA, America Gives Back (formerly [American] Idol Gives Back), YMCA, American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), American Diabetes Association. Involvement ranges from donating funds to pro-abortion groups (or allowing affiliates to do so), supporting anti-life causes, allowing pro-abortion groups access to membership, adopting an official pro-abortion policy position, and so forth.
I urge readers to buy their own copies of The Boycott List. Help Life Decisions keep this important apostolate going.
