Is Sarah Palin Down and Out?

There's a great post on Sarah Palin at Political Brambles. Take a look at Ray's comments and also his assessment of Ann Coulter's view of the Palin decision to step down from the governor's office. It makes a lot of sense if one is thinking about others instead of oneself. Sarah Palin apparently scares the pants off the left or they wouldn't spend so much ink on her. Read what David Kahane says about Palin at National Review online. As one blogger put it: this is David Kahane channeling a democratic operative. It shows up the democrats for what they are -- a bunch of thugs. But we've known that for a long time. Remember when Ted Kennedy and his mob turned Robert Bork's name into a verb during his nomination hearings to the Supreme Court? One of the most competent jurists in the country was denied a seat because he was a constitutionalist and they hated him for it. The left launched a fear-mongering nuclear attack on his character and whipped their supporters into a frenzy.

Remember the similar attempt to conduct a "high tech lynching" to deny Clarence Thomas a seat on the court? Anita Hill made accusations that were unprovable and conflicted with her actions, for example following Thomas when he left the Department of Education to go to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Hill became the darling of the left for her slander.

The thuggery goes on (think ACORN). Sarah Palin is just its latest victim. But a lady who can dress a moose is up to facing a bunch of thugs in pin-striped suits.

Unfortunately for the thugs, many in the country are starting to wake up and they're armed with righteous anger and common sense. The 2,000 tea parties on July 4th sent a shot across the bow and Obama's dropping popularity illustrates that the sleeping giant is starting to stir. In many cities, thousands turned out to protest. And a national tea party is scheduled for September 11-14 in Washington, D.C. Get your teacups ready!

  1. Just as a note of interest, Sarah Palin and I were both born on February 11th, the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes.

  2. The left is not afraid of Sarah Palin. It is her faults that made Barack Obama our president.

  3. Now there's a piece of nonsense if I ever saw one. Prior to Palin joining the ticket John McCain wasn't even in the race. Palin energized the base and scared the hell out of the Democrats so that they went into standard demonization mode.

If there was a problem it was mishandling of Palin by the McCain campaign, which like all the Beltway Loonies didn't know what to do with a real person, they were so used to packaging phonies.

Palin is the real deal. Obama is a phoney -- he'll be whatever you want him to be until he's elected ... then watch out. All the bets are off -- do you make less than $250K/year? Hehe... wait 'til you see your tax bill.

  4. Palin is a very nice person but is politically incompetent as evidenced by her recent resignation.

Our taxes will be going up but it's not because Obama is spending money, it's because the republicans spent and borrowed during the good times taking care of the wealthy in their war for oil.

Imagine how many dozens of refineries our socialist President Bush could have built to process American oil instead of trophy hunting in Iraq.

Can't stay for long miss chatting with everyone here.

  5. Let's see: Bush could have built more refineries...to refine what? The oil that liberals won't allow us to drill? In June 2008 liberals blocked efforts to lift the ban on offshore drilling and drilling in ANWR. The ANWR opposition has been particularly hypocritical as liberal evironmentalists show pictures of the beautiful Alaska wilderness with mountains and glaciers and pristine bays that are nowhere near the flat coastal marsh of ANWR.

I live in Virginia and I want to see offshore drilling along the Virginia coast. The rigs would be so far out they couldn't be seen from the shore even with binoculars. Let's stop the hypocrisy. We can export energy instead of putting ourselves in debt to countries that hate us and use our money to fund terrorism.

  6. Way to go Turf Killer! Instead of drilling for oil for our monster SUV, let's drive cars that fit our lifestyle. Is a Hummer type of vehicle necessary to drive to the post office, grocery store, work and other daily errands? Stop asking for off shore drilling and encourage energy efficient vehicles.

  7. Exactly what lifestyle do you mean? The Planned Parenthood family where no more than one or two children are allowed to be born? May parents with five children own a van? Or would you like to see China's forced abortion policy implemented in the U.S. and a government limit on the number of children?

  8. Oh, I definitely think that families need mini vans and there is certainly a use for SUVs. Real farmers justify the use of trucks. I have a problem with people who drive an SUV or a big truck without justification. How many Hummer owners use their vehicles for off road adventure? Do college students really need an SUV? Do people need to drive large pick up trucks when they don't use the bed to haul on a regular basis? People need to choose vehicles that suit their every day needs. We need to reduce our dependence on all oil, not just foreign oil. People could walk or bike to run errands and not only would they reduce their carbon footprint, but they may even lose a few inches! Help save the planet, God's greatest creation.
