The Government Shut Down at Midnight -- Paid Vacation for Federal Employees Until Dems Capitulate

We've been here before. The government shuts down amid threats of Armageddon, the national parks close, paychecks are delayed, and then the agreement is reached and everyone gets back to work with back pay. For those federal employees living pay check to pay check the Democrats are inflicting a serious problem with their hissy-fit over funding health care for millions of illegals. Hey, taxpayers, you owe it to the invaders. And besides we need their votes and if we don't deliver the goodies, they'll stop coming. And besides, our base will call for our ouster if we don't obey them and they hate ICE and love illegals even the ones who bring in fentanyl and commit violent crimes against our citizens.

Health care is what this supposedly is about, although it's really about TDS, Trump Derangement Syndrome. The alt-left hates Trump and they are the base of the Democrat party. The Chuck Schumers and AOCs don't care about normal people in the party, whatever few are left. They care about the abortion/contraception lobby, the trans activists, the BLM/Antifa extremists who loot, burn and kill, and the criminals they lift up as gold-studded heroes. That's their base and to please them they initiated the shut down.

Before you panic, read the Epoch Times article about how the shutdown will affect us. It's not the end of life as we know it. And maybe, just maybe, a few bad things the Democrats have in mind won't happen...at least for now.

What the Democrats have really done is give Trump a gift. He has vowed to cut the federal workforce. Hopefully he will target woke bureaucracies like the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Education. Cuts at Health and Human Services would be more than welcome since that federal giant includes NIH and the CDC. Cuts there might could put a slowdown on the revolving door between Big Pharma and the government bureaucracy. Bring it on!

How long will it take Chuck and his minions to cave? We'll see. In the meantime, don't panic. It might be a good time to switch your vacation plans to your local neighborhoods. Federal parks may be closed but, state parks are open and running. Shenandoah National Park will remain open with a skeleton staff, so hikers won't feel the pain although the visitor centers are shuttered so rest rooms may not be available. Most serious hikers are used to that. But maybe this is a good time to explore state parks. Come visit Virginia and kayak on the Shenandoah River or hike some of the gorgeous trails at the many state parks. Visit the apiary at Seven Bends State Park here in Woodstock.

And it's a good time to pray for our poor country that the politicians who hate the U.S. will see their numbers in free fall in the midterms. What a lovely thought to think of some of those foul-mouthed fanatics riding off into oblivion. I'm not too optimistic though. With a dumbed-down electorate anything can happen. Hopefully enough voters have been awakened by the recent daily mass murders and the vicious stabbing just for being a "white girl" on a subway to realize it's time to evict the enablers. Think I'll seek the intercession of St. Thomas Aquinas today. He knew that countries have a moral right to control their borders which is the source of a lot of the violence:

...if foreigners were allowed to meddle with the affairs of a nation as soon as they settled down in its midst many dangers might occur, since the foreigners not yet having the common good firmly at heart might attempt something hurtful to the people.

We've seen that bigtime haven't we? And it's the same party that champions criminal aliens that loves our own domestic version as well and makes them heroes. Meanwhile they endanger the lives of our law enforcement personnel and their families, doxing them, revealing their home addresses, etc.

St. Thomas Aquinas, pray for us.
